The Bunny Kiss makes a great first toy... unfortunately it was not my first toy, so it was a little underwhelming for me, even though it was a relatively inexpensive replacement for another vibrator that died in my hands about a week earlier.
This little bunny was for my solo pleasure. Even after I started seeing someone, I didn't bust it out for both of us to play with, because I felt like it was a little strange looking.
While I don't recall there being a chemically/plastic smell straight out of the box, I still made sure to wash it well with warm water and soap (20+ seconds since this was going inside me).
FYI, this is made out of a silicone/hard plastic combo. That makes for really easy cleaning with warm water and soap since it doesn't harbor bacteria, but that also means that you cant use silicone based lube (silicone lube + silicone toys = melty, gloppy mess that you don't want on your nether-regions).
There were a couple of things that didn't do it for me. Technically yes, I was able to complete the mission, but this paled in comparison to my previous toy.I thought I would like how it focused on the G-spot, but it almost felt too narrow when it was inside made (more like a finger). Also, it made extra sounds when I was using it (that wasn't related to the dual motors.)
In order to get it to hit my G-spot, I had to hold it at such an angle, that the "Bunny" couldn't also "Kiss" at the same time. I will say that the vibrations were pretty intense (especially on level 3) and I really enjoyed it when the Bunny did make contact.
Don't get me wrong, if my little sister (in college) wanted to get her first sex toy, this is how I would probably bring her into the fold. Its smaller and seems less invasive making it a good route to go for your first toy.

Experience
Its not that loud, so the person in the next room doesn't have to hear what you're up to.
I haven't tested out the "waterproof" status yet but I suspect that its more "water resistant". Probably OK for the shower but I wouldn't take it into the hot tub with me.
I have the pink one and its pretty discrete (as discrete as you can get being a bright pink vibrating G-spot Bunny Rabbit). There were a couple times where I left it sitting on my nightstand and one of my roommates would come into my room and have an entire conversation without noticing it (and they are the type to bring it up and laugh).
You're going to want to clean it with warm soap and water before each use. Luckily, due to its size, its pretty easy to conceal on my way to and from the bathroom to wash it.
It takes 2 AAA batteries, I would recommend taking the batteries out between each use (unless its daily) to extend the life of the motors (as stated above, I can kill a vibrator}.
