Good Things Come In Small Packages
The Fairy Miniature is a dynamo in a small package. Powered by 6 AA batteries, this small massager-style vibrator packs a punch to your clitoris. The dial allows vibrations from low to intensely high and you’re sure to find the setting that works best for you.

Pros
Strong, uses 6 AA batteries, small and compact, great for travel, can be used as a back massager.
Cons
Loud, annoying sound on low settings, can heat up a bit after extended use.
When I received the Fairy Miniature (also called the MiniMini on the box), the first thing I thought was that someone shrunk the Hitachi. And made it cute and easily portable. But the real question for me would be if they shrunk the power, or if the Fairy could outperform its larger cousin as a clitoral vibrator.
The Fairy Miniature comes in a pretty pink box with the wand visible through the front. The name of the toy and some sparse information is in English, while the rest is in Japanese. I would have loved to see a translation of it! No instruction manual is included, but the side of the box does have a few pictures that illustrate some of the features. Inside the box is the Fairy and a detachable power unit.
This is a really small wand. It’s 7 1/4" long, and a pearly white color. The handle is made of plastic with the name in purple script and three pink fairies on the front. The front also has the control dial. The dial clicks when it’s turned on and can be turned down towards the bottom to reach the desired vibration intensity
The head on the Fairy is 1 1/4" in diameter and 1 1/4" long. I’m not sure if the head is made of plastic or another material, but it is smooth to the touch as well as odorless. The head is accented with four bands each about 1/8” wide that run around it.
The head is attached to the handle by a flexible neck about 3/8” long. The neck is banded and provides a good range of motion for the head.
The Fairy Miniature runs off of a battery pack which is connected to the handle by pushing the jack end of the cord into the jack hole on the bottom of the wand. The cord is a generous 58 1/2" long so you don’t have to worry about setting the power pack getting in the way.
The power pack is 3 1/2" long and 1 1/4" high. The front is labeled with the name in purple script as well as Battery Box. A purple arrow and the word open direct you where to press and slide the cover down to access the battery compartment. This takes 6 AA batteries, 3 per side, and the direction is clearly labeled. I was thrilled to see the number of batteries – my favorite bullet takes this many, and it’s my favorite for a reason.
The Fairy is not waterproof, so care should be taken when cleaning. The handle and power pack should be wiped with a wet cloth if necessary and dried. The head should be carefully cleaned with soap and warm water and dried. Cleaning under the head can be a bit tricky but is manageable. The cord should be detached while cleaning, and care should be taken not to get water into the jack hole. Water-based lubricants are safe to use on the head, if necessary.
When I first turned the Fairy on, the sound about drove me crazy. On low, this makes a horrible, high pitched noise like a dentist’s drill. Fortunately, turning it up eliminates the pitch. On higher speeds up to the maximum the Fairy is loud! It rivals the Hitachi in noise although it sounds a bit more rumbly. The vibrations are concentrated in the head and not felt much at all in the body of the wand.
The vibrations are fabulous. While not quite as strong (to me) as the Hitachi, they dial up to a fever pitch and are made more intense by the small size of the head which, when nestled on the clit provide vibrations throughout the area. The highest setting really works magic! The unit tends to heat up a bit after 10-15 minutes of use, but not unbearably so, and 15 minutes I found to be more than sufficient.

Experience
When I saw this took 6 batteries I had high hopes for the Fairy, and they were definitely met! This is stronger than my 6 battery bullet, so it will be replacing the bullet for me unless I really need something small. While the sound set my teeth on edge on low, it was just plain loud as I spun the dial up which didn’t bother me at all. This is a toy I’ll use almost exclusively on the high setting, so the low setting sound won’t be a problem. I really liked the head size – it was perfect to nestle into place. The flexible neck made this work well when balanced between the Wing and I.
Unlike the Hitachi, the Fairy does fit into the Liberator Wing channel to make the Wing vibrate all over. I won’t be using it much this way, however – it’s too much fun clitorally.
This is a little dynamo – intense, stimulating, and able to bring me to climax quite quickly. The battery life is good, although I’d love to plug this into a wall adapter and see if there’s any difference in power. I hope the motor has a good life – we’ll be using this one regularly.
