Good started power box

If you are looking for a place to start, this is a good option. Low price, good power output. Nice functions. We are not beginners, so this did not really add anything that we needed to our estim play. But overall, it is a pretty good little unit.

Use

This is used to control and power your electro sex toys. It is a pretty cheap option to see if this is the type of play you would like go get into. Once You decide if you like electrosex, you can step up to units costing $100's. But this is good for beginners. It has two inputs that are controlled at the same time. No independent controls. But it will run all your toys that come with the standard plug size. You can use this alone, or give control to your partner and just lay back and enjoy.

I would not use this around water, as it is powered by 2 AAA batteries. At the very lest, it will shorten the life span of your toy.

Material / Texture

This is made from plastic. It is very light weight and feels cheap. But then even the expensive ones tend to feel cheap. Plastic tends to make things feel cheap. The power/intensity dial is really cheap feeling. I have a feeling it wont last long. There is no clip on the back, no grips on the side. It is just a smooth rectangle. It is pretty slippery. The plastic is not a high gloss smooth finish, it has some texture to it. But you get no grip from it. And if you have lube on your hands, forget about it.

Design / Shape / Size

So this is a pretty basic control box. It fits in the palm of your hand. It has a strength dial on the right hand side. And 6 push buttons on the left side. The buttons are (from top to bottom) power, tap, vibrating, massage, auto, and speed. The power button does what it is called, turns the unit on and off. The tap through auto button are just different program settings. The speed button turns up the speed of the shocks with each push, until it maxes out.

The size of the box is about 2 inches wide by 3 inches long and about 1/2 inch thick. So it is on the small side, which is good if you are trying to hide it. Not so good if you are trying to play with it. But like I stated earlier, this is a good starting point to see if you like this type of play before you go out and spend big bucks on a nicer unit.

You could probable leave this sitting out and no one would know what it was. There are no markings telling you what it is for, or a company name. The back just says S MPlayer. Along with the model number and the electrical info.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The functions are just as the buttons state. The power button needs to be held down for about 1 sec in order to turn it on. Must be a safety feature so that you dont turn it on at the wrong time.
The tap, well taps. It starts out with about 4 taps per second. Each push of the speed button speeds it up until it is a constant vibration. It has 5 speeds in total. When the max speed is reached, it starts over at the lowest.

The vibrating button has a burst of vibrations about 4 seconds long, followed by a 1 second break; before starting over. Each push of the speed button takes just under 1 second off of the burst of vibrations, but leave the 1 second pause after. The vibrations also speed up.

The massage button is a almost constant shock that last about 3 seconds, followed by a 1 second pause. Each push of the speed button shortens up the shock length while shortening up the frequency of the wave. The top speed last about 1/2 a second with the same 1 second break in between.

The auto button has a tap function that changes speed on its own. It has a set pattern, one that is hard to pick up on. The speed button seems to have little effect on the function.

The strength dial turns up the power. It has a very limited range. But this is also a starter power box, so that is expected. This is only powered by 2 AAA batteries. It has pretty good power output for only AAA's.

Care and Maintenance

This does not require anything more then a wipe down every now and then. No hard chemicals. Just a baby wipe or toy cleaner wipe will work. If it is going to sit around for longer then a few weeks without being used, I would recommend taking the batteries out. Pretty simple. Try to not leave it somewhere where it could fall and break, or get stepped on; as I don't think it would stand up to the abuse. And please don't get it wet, as it is a electrical device and not rated for contact with water.

Packaging

This cam packaged in a very cheap plastic bag with a reclosable zipper after you rip off the tab. You know the type. It looked almost like something you would find the MRE type dinners in, the backpacking freeze dried food. It looked just like one of those. It is really out of place. It is not something you want to keep around to store your controller in. It does not look good. It makes noise when something touches it, like all plastic does. It just felt like eden could have done better with a toy branded by them. Set the bar higher guys.

This came with no instructions or paperwork of any kind. Nothing. Not even paperwork on how to install the batteries. Kind of disappointing. We know how to use something like this, but what about the customer who is just trying out this kind of toy?

Personal comments

We have a nice $150 controller, so this is nothing special. It is just a cheap beginners model for a control unit. Nothing extra to add to the decision. Noting new to bring to the table. I did like how it was made in Korea and not china. That was a nice change. Not sure if it was planned that way, of if EF just picked the cheapest suppler and they happened to be it. But it is nice to not have to see that stupid "made in China" sticker on it. There are a lot of other countries out there. Most of them make stuff. Most of those have higher standards then China. Just a fact.

This probably wont see much use in our bedroom. Like stated above, we have a nice unit. And some cheaper ones too. So if those all fail, then it might see the light of day. It is just nothing special. It is not bad. And probable perfect for a beginner in this field, but for us it is just something else to sit around and collect dust.

Experience

This would not be something I would have normally purchased. We have a nice power box that plugs into a outlet and controls 8 channels with a good power output. They asked me to review this, so I did. That being said, this would make a great starter box for someone looking to explore this type of play, or just looking for something to give them a estim massage. It is not overly priced, puts out some pretty good power. Has the option to plug in two toys, even though they can not be controlled independently. It comes with a pretty good set of pre-programed functions.

we played with this some more, and the power fluctuates a lot, even with brand new batteries. I am unsure if the power dial was damaged, or if it is just falling apart. The dial seems like it is attached like it was brand new, not loose at all. Maybe a loose wire inside. But it went in the garbage. Nothing like getting a hard shock at full power for a spit second, at random times; when you only have it set to medium. EF, you need to purchase from a better manufacturer if you want to be taken serous in the toy market.
