Give this Honi some time
Honi works its magic similarly to a lover - it takes its time, it builds up the tension, it teases you and keeps you on the edge for a while, and then releases its full force on you, leaving you in a state of bliss.
You have to keep in mind one thing, though - this toy really is somewhat lacking in the power department. If you're looking for a quick orgasm from powerful vibrations, look away from the Honi.

The basic information that you need to know about this little vibe can be described as follows:
- It's made out of high quality materials -- FDA approved silicone and plastic. Both materials are non-porous, making the maintenance relatively easy. You should only use it with water-based lubricants, and store it separately from other silicone toys.
- The plastic cap screws on nice and tightly to prevent water entering the battery compartment, meaning that this toy is completely waterproof. However, you do have to screw it nice and tightly, meaning that you need to apply some force.
- It's easy to clean with soap and water, but make sure to check the cap. The cap can store body fluids, and it has to be cleaned regularly.
- It has multi-speed vibrations and 12 different patterns, most of which are the same pattern but with different speeds.
- It uses 1-AAA battery. Some people prefer rechargeable, but I like batteries better. Be warned - rechargeable batteries result in less power.
- This is a toy that was created to be used not only as a clitoral stimulator, but also as an internal vibrator. If you plan to use it anally (not recommended!), make sure you add something to the string that will stay secure and won't allow the Honi to sink into your ass. That could send you to a very embarrassing visit at the doctor.
- The control buttons are integrated in the PicoBong logo, making them somewhat difficult to use (and slippery if lubricated), although I got used to them really fast. It's a simple mechanism: press "+" and hold, vibration goes up; press and hold again, patterns show up; press and hold again to switch; press "-" and hold, vibration goes down, eventually turning off the vibe. When in patterns, press and hold to go back to steady vibration.
That's not much, is it? And it certainly isn't enough to prepare you for what's about to come.
Having in mind that we're talking Lelo here, and Lelo has some reputation, one might expect more from the PicoBong Honi. First thing you start wondering with Honi after you turn it on is... "Is this the strongest it goes? There must be some higher setting." There isn't, really. There are much cheaper vibes on the market that will rock your world with strong and deeper vibrations. Not Honi. Honi has a lighter, more superficial vibration, and you must be aware of that before you purchase it.
The second thing you might realise in a most uncomfortable moment is that, for an internal toy it doesn't really serve its purpose... at all. Internal toys need more power in order to be felt, and the Honi was more like an annoying buzz in my belly. I put it in once, put an older and far more powerful vibrator on my clit and completely lost the sensation of the bullet inside me. Add to that, the fact that once it's in you can't change the settings, because the buttons are also in. There's no way for you to reach them unless you get the toy out. All in all, Honi might look like it was meant to go in, but in fact that retrieval cord is there only for beauty and for you to play with when you don't know what to do with your hands.
One thing that's great about this vibe is that the vibration doesn't desensitize you like so many other toys do. Your clit won't go numb with Honi -- I can promise you this. This means that you can use it, then lose it and realise you can still feel everything, even the slightest touch. This is good if you're with a partner and the ultimate goal isn't to finish, but more to tease and play.
Still, if you're in my position of disappointment and looking at this sweet, pink (mine's pink), oh so cute little thing that you actually paid money for, money you earned with your hard work... well, I wasn't ready to give up that easily. After the initial frustration, I decided to give Honi (and my orgasm) a second chance.

Here's how it went...
Experience
First off, let me make a note - I have an incredibly sensitive clit. My oldest and favourite vibrator is, nevertheless, very strong, with vibrations that go deep throughout your body, and pretty much achieve their goal in about 30 seconds. So, for a long while I was used to some power. I guess this was the reason why the first time I put Honi against my clit, I could barely find my arousal. Also, it was the reason to try it again, after giving myself some time to get used to it. I still have a very, very sensitive clit. I can almost never tolerate any direct contact, and after I cum it always hurts for a few minutes. Well, at least it used to hurt during all previous years of masturbation, either with my own hands or with a toy.
So here I am, taking the Honi in the bathroom for a shower, teasing a bit, and using it on my nipples (it felt marvelous, by the way). Going out of the shower, I get rid of my bathrobe, put some quality porn on to keep me in the mood and prepared to have a good time -- no matter how long it takes. I'm used to cumming within 30 seconds, alright, now it's time to try something new...
That's how it began, with me allowing myself (and my toy) some more time. At first it took me probably ~15 minutes to come, now I need less, about 10. I found out that with Honi, I need to start slow, at the lower settings, and slowly go up to the stronger ones. Let it work its magic, because the longer I kept it on my clit, the more I felt it. With any other vibe or even with my fingers, it's the opposite, my clit goes numb. The Honi also allows me some direct stimulation (which was beyond thought for me before) during masturbation and then during orgasm itself - without hurt, without over-sensitivity. After I cum, I can continue with it because it doesn't hurt me. And this... well, this made all the difference in the world.
Now, I'm planning to continue to use only Honi and see how it goes in the future. For now it's a new and refreshing feeling, and I want to play with the new toy only. We'll see if it becomes my new favourite.
So, my final rating for the Picobong Honi goes like this:
- 1st star because it's somewhat compulsory, you can't give 0;
- 2nd star because of the quality making of the toy - I wouldn't want it to break in a few months of use, and Lelo has a 1-year warranty on all their products;
- 3rd star because of the quality vibration that doesn't desensitize and allows intense stimulation on the most sensitive of areas;
- lacking 4th star because of lack of power
- lacking 5th star because it doesn't serve its purposes as an internal toy completely.

Follow-up commentary
2 months after original review
So here's what happened in the 3 months I've owned the Honi:
Less than thirty days within purchase, it broke. The silicone peeled off the inner... whatever there's inside and the vibe inflated like a tiny balloon. My first reaction was to unscrew the cap. The air went out with a whiff, but I could still feel that the silicone had peeled. My second reaction was to change the battery and turn the vibration on - and, oh my, what a buzz! Such a quiet toy had turned into something sounding more like a hair dryer. Probably because of the peeled-off silicone. My third reaction was to go to the store where I bought it. They replaced it immediately and told me if the same problem occurred, then it was probably a case of a faulty batch and I might have to choose a different toy as a replacement.
Luckily, this hasn't happened yet. My second Honi has been holding on for two months now and is on its third battery. I've started to use it the most among my toys - it's easiest to clean, it's the smallest and it's the prettiest. Besides, this is my first LELO toy and I really enjoy the vibrations.
Unfortunately, I was negligent enough to leave it unprotected after cleaning it once. And it has, after all, a string... and I have, after all, a cat. As a result, I had to fish my vibe from underneath the sofa and wash it thoroughly several times more. Ever since this little accident, it's become: 1. a little more powerful, and 2. a little more noisy. I discovered if I poked the spring within the toy (the one that puts pressure on the battery) just a little to the side, because it's oddly leaning on one side (almost like the Tower of Pisa), then the toy would become quiet and less powerful again. Funny thing.

good review. it's kind of disappointing as i was looking at this toy to use as part a DP and inset vaginally while receiving anal penetration, but i may look easy where is the vibrations are lost when it is inserted.
