Form 6 (original) vs Form 6 G3
The Form 6 by JimmyJane is a great luxury toy to add to your toy box. It has everything you'd expect a luxury toy to have. If you already own the Form 6 G3 and you're happy with it then I wouldn't recommend getting the original as well because not much has changed with regards to the material, shape, or vibration intensity. If you're new to the Form 6 then I would definitely recommend it for its rumbly deep vibrations.

The Form 6 by JimmyJane comes packaged in a cardboard box with the product description and pictures. Inside the box is a flimsy plastic tray which holds the vibrator, charging base, and power cable. Like other JimmyJane toys, Form 6 comes with a 3 year limited warranty.
Form 6 Box:
Package Contents:
Form 6 is made of smooth silicone and has a metal band around the top section. I have the plum version so mine is purple colored silicone. There is a little drag on the silicone material and it does collect lint. It has a seam along both sides dividing the toy in half lengthwise. Form 6's shape reminds me of a crookneck squash with a curve and one end has a larger diameter than the other. It measures a total of 7 inches. The diameter of the smaller end is 1 1/8 inches and the larger end is 1 1/2. If you wanted to insert the larger end you could get away with about 4 1/2 inches until you hit the metal band, while the smaller end is about 2 inches insertable. The size of this toy is exactly the same as the newer Form 6 G3.
Form 6 Size:
Form 6 is completely waterproof and submersible. This allows for easy cleanup with soap and warm water or toy wipes. Since it's made of silicone, only water based lubes should be used with it. Silicone is rated 10 on the Eden Fantasys safety scale so it's a great material choice. The toy charges via the metal band around the toy. Just sit the toy on the charging base so that the metal band makes contact with the pins in the charging base. You'll know when it's positioned correctly and charging because the toys lights will turn on. To gain full charge for the first time it should be charged for 8 hours, every time after that it only takes about 2 hours. With the included lid, the charging base doubles as storage so you can just leave it on the charging base when not in use to ensure it's always at full charge. When the toy is at full charge and you remove it from the charging base then all 4 lights will come on. The number of lights that come on will indicate the charge level ranging from 1-4. This behavior is slightly different than the newer Form 6 G3.
Form 6 Charging Connector:
One of the major differences between this vibrator and the newer Form 6 G3 is the charging base. This original version includes a lid to put on the charging base to hide the toy or keep lint and dust away while not in use. The newer Form 6 G3 does not have any lid for the charging base.
Form 6 Lid and Charging Base:
Form 6 operates with a 3 button panel located in the middle of the toy. The location of the control panel is not well designed for insertion. Should you wish to insert this toy you would need to choose the vibration intensity and pattern before insertion. It's very difficult to change this while the toy is inserted. The top button shows a (.), directly below that is the pattern button (~), and below that is a (o). The lights on the toy will flash when you press a button. To turn it on hold in any of the buttons. While you're holding in a button, all 4 lights will flash rapidly for a couple of seconds and then the toy will turn on. The buttons are quite difficult to press if you have longer nails, especially when you have to hold them down so long to get it started. Once the toy is switched on you don't have to hold in the buttons that long to change the settings. It's just required for the initial turn on, most likely to avoid accidentally turning it on. Form 6 has 2 motors, one in the smaller end and one in the larger end. The (.) button controls the vibration intensity of the motor in the smaller end while the (o) button controls the larger end. If you want to increase the vibration intensity of a specific motor just press the button which corresponds to that motor. You cannot hold the button in to go to the highest vibration intensity as this will just power off the toy. To get the highest vibration intensity you must press the button 4 times. There are 5 vibration intensities for each motor. To change patterns press the (~) button in the middle. There are a total of 6 patterns including steady vibration.

Experience
Here's what the box says about the vibration patterns:
1) Constant - steady dual-node vibration
2) Oscillate - slow vibration wave traversing from end to end
3) Reverberate - coordinated fast and slow vibration waves
4) Thrum - simultaneous rapid vibration peaks throughout
5) Ripple - intense pulsing with rapid vibration peaks
6) Pulse - intense pulsing over slow vibration waves
Form 6 Control Pad Comparison (Form 6 G3 in slate on top and Form 6 original in plum on bottom):
The vibrations can be felt throughout the toy but are strongest at each end. The larger end's motor seems to be the strongest with deep, rumbly vibrations. I rate this toy 4 vrooms and 3 bees. It's quiet but at the loudest setting it can be heard through the covers and maybe through a closed door. I did not find any difference in the vibration intensities or noise level between the G3 and the original version. Form 6 can be used vaginally or externally for clitoral stimulation. Because the toy has no flared base it's not safe for anal play.
The major differences between the 2 versions of the Form 6 are the following:
Charging-
1) Form 6 Original has a protective lid while Form 6 G3 does not.
2) Form 6 G3 has power plug adapters for use when traveling in foreign countries while Form 6 Original does not.
Vibration-
1) Form 6 Original has harder to press buttons but allows you to adjust each motor individually, for example you could have the smaller motor at vibration intensity level 2 and the larger one at vibration intensity level 5.
2) Form 6 G3 has slightly easier to press buttons but only allows you to have either one motor on at a specific vibration intensity or both motors on at the vibration intensity.
3) Form 6 Original has 5 vibration patterns (excluding steady vibration) where as Form 6 G3 only has 3.

That's a really noticeable seam!

Great to see the charger of this. I was curious after reading your G3 review. I think I like this much better. Truly travel-friendly. I suppose you can't swap chargers, eh?
-
Adriana, I actually tried to swap chargers and they both worked in each others charger. The older charger is actually not available anymore on the Jimmyjane website
