Flitter, flutter
I love the Posh Butterfly concept because it actually works so well! Other than the straps not fitting me right, it is a good little toy to have when you just want to lay back and enjoy some hands-free pleasure! When paired with my favorite dildo, it is just a mind-blowing adventure!

straps are a bit too small
I love the concept of hands-free vibrators. When I saw this one, I knew I had to give it a try. Something about it just got my attention, so I had to have it. While the idea is a great one, the design, however, is not so great.
The butterfly, itself, which is the actual vibrator, works great, and is actually designed wonderfully. The problem is with the straps, themselves. I am not a small girl size-wise, and I freely admit that. I am kind of plus-sized, so the straps on the Posh Butterfly had me a little concerned. The thigh-straps fit me just fine. It was the waist-strap I had a real problem with. No matter where I put it--low on my waist, even around my hips--it still just did not fit me right. Yes, it does stretch out to 50 inches or so, the box claims, and I am definitely nowhere close to having a 50-inch waist, but it just felt too tight. That was the biggest problem I had. Because of it, the butterfly did not sit where it was supposed to, and I ended up having to push it down into place where I wanted it. It still kept slipping out of place so I would have to stop and put it back. So, to kind of fix that problem, I improvised. I took the thigh-straps and hooked them into the waist-strap, like garters, and put the vibrator into position where I liked it. That worked like a charm! The straps dug into my skin a little bit, but I didn't really notice because I was just too caught-up in trying all the various rhythms the Posh Butterfly offers. The straps are removable so if I wanted to, I could just take them off and use it as a small but powerful regular vibe. I might try that just to see if it feels as good as its intended use.
There are 10 different rhythms in all:
1) Vibrate (high)
2) Vibrate (medium)
3) Vibrate (low)
4) Gradient Burst (shorter than longer bursts)
5) Intermittent (steady)
6) Surge
7) Intra-Surge
8) Even Step
9) Roller Coaster Spurt
10) Pulsate
These are controlled by pressing the lighted button on the back of the controller that actually moves in tandem with whatever setting you have it on. It also has a built-in state-of-the-art microchip that remembers the last setting you used, so you don't need to power-through each one to find your favorite. I actually love this little feature because I can go right to the perfect vibration I want without spending time fumbling though each and every one! The controller has a small on/off button on the front, which also has an auto-off feature. The vibe has a cord that plugs into the top of the controller with a universal jack, so you can unplug the butterfly when it is not in use and not worry about damaging the cord during storage. It runs on 2 AA batteries so it has some power to it. It is always a good idea to remove betteries after use to avoid damaging the toy and batteries. The vibrations, themselves, are pretty strong, even on the lowest setting, and that is something I am not used to with most of the toys I have. On high it is almost too intense, but I like a lot of stimulation, and, once I get it where I want it, I get all that I can handle and then some!
The butterfly, itself, is supposed to be waterproof, but the packaging says to not immerse in water. I think maybe use in shower might be ok if caution is used. It is made from food-grade silicone, and is hypoallergenic, latex-free, and phthalates-free, so it's easier to clean and safer than most materials. Since it is a smooth material and not porous, you can disinfect it by boiling it for 3 minutes, or even throw it in on the top rack of your dishwasher. It should only be used with water-based lubes to keep the integrity of the toy and material intact. The size of the butterfly is just about perfect. It is about 3 inches long (head to tail) and about 2 inches across. It feels super-soft because of the silicone, and that only enhances the experience for me. The butterfly body has small nubs that almost feel like they are massaging me when I put it on certain speeds. It actually feels really good and arouses me even more because of all the sensations going on at the same time. All-in-all, this is a great item that users of most levels will enjoy. I just wish the straps fit me better!

Follow-up commentary

I have tried using this several times more since I first got it and I just can't get used to it. The straps just feel like they are cutting skin and I still have to hold it in place to stimulate anything, so it defeats the purpose of hands free!
