Fingertip of Fail
While the idea behind the Fukuoku is a good one – wear the vibrator on your finger and add a little pleasure with the attachments – it’s poorly executed. The vibrations are weak, and the attachments are uncomfortable and unyielding. On top of that, the included storage case doesn’t fit all of the parts. Unless you like very buzzy vibrations and want a small bit of hard, shallow penetration controlled by your finger, steer clear of this one.

Pros
Can be worn on the finger.
Cons
Uses LR44 batteries, weak, useless attachments, storage case too small.
The Fukuoku is billed as the “world’s original fingertip massager”, and the latest incarnation is the Fukuoku 12k. Unlike its predecessor, the Fukuoku 9000, this newer model claims 12,000 vibrations per minute and includes tips for shallow penetration. It can also be used sans attachments for clitoral stimulation or anywhere you can tease with a fingertip.
This vibrator comes in a large flat container, which is plastic on front and cardboard on the back, and is meant to be displayed hanging. Through the front plastic you can see the Fukuoku finger unit, the three attachments, the storage case, and the 2 included batteries. The cardboard has a QR code which links to a video, and also has some information on the product, including that the tips are phthalates-free. The packaging is difficult to open, but can be accomplished with a pair of scissors.
The Fukuoku 12k is plum in color, as are the 3 attachments. The part that slips onto your finger is made of plastic and is about 2 3/4" long. The attachments slip onto the front section, which is about 1 1/2" long and 1” wide. This section is rounded on one side which helps position the attachments, and other attachments for the Fukuoku should fit this as well. The bottom of the finger attachment has two hinged pieces that will slip over your finger of choice; they open wide enough to accommodate most fingers.
This model comes with 3 attachments that are meant for shallow insertion. They have a distinctive PVC smell to them and are quite hard. Each attachment is about 2” long (the insertable portion), and each has a different shape: one is shaped like a miniature penis with a front scoop surrounded by nubs, one is shaped like 3 balls stacked on top of each other, and one has a curved shape like a dolphin or bird, complete with a beak. At their widest, the attachments are just under 3/4" in diameter. They are easy to slip over the front of the finger piece.
The finger attachment sits on your finger with the hinges on top, so that when you use the Fukuoku the attachment rises above your palm, allowing for clitoral or shallow (very shallow) vaginal penetration.
The batteries are inserted in the top of the toy, by sliding off a small panel. Two LR44 batteries go in + side up. The button to control the Fukuoku is on the left side of the piece (when the hinges are at the top). It’s a small slide button that will allow you to turn on the unit at low or high speed, both of which are quite similar. Both vibration speeds are very light, extremely buzzy, and fairly quiet.
The packaging recommends using an alcohol cloth to wipe all surfaces of the toy. The tips can be immersed in water and washed with soap. The plastic finger attachment, however, is not waterproof, and care should be taken when wiping it down. The batteries should be removed before storing to preserve their short (approximately 30 minute) lifespan.
You might be happy to learn that the Fukuoku 12k comes with storage, but that happiness will be short lived. The pleather case is about 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 1”, with a belt loop on the back, a Velcro closure, and embossed with “Fukuoku 9000” on the front. Yes, this is the same case that comes with the 9000 style. It’s far too small to hold the finger piece and the 3 attachments – at best, one attachment will fit, making this useless to store the unit with the attachments together.

Experience
While I like the idea of fingertip vibrators, this one fails. The vibrations may be going at 12,000 per minute, but they’re very weak and much too buzzy to do more than tingle. You may find them enjoyable if you’re running this on your breasts, and your partner may find the sensation interesting on their balls or taint, but we didn’t care for them in any of these ways. There are other, stronger fingertip vibrators that work much better.
The attachments can be used clitorally, but they’re a bit awkward to use that way and don’t do much for me at all. Internally, they’re also a failure. They don’t have any give to them, and they’re really too short to stimulate me much in any way. All they manage to do is give me a light buzz.
I was disappointed in the storage case as well. The case, which is the one from the 9000, is designed to hold the “finger pad” style of tips. I couldn’t cram all the pieces into this no matter how hard I tried. If a storage case is going to be included, it should hold all of the parts of the toy.
I was also curious about the material of the attachments as the material isn’t listed on the packaging, only the fact that it’s phthalates free. The manufacturer’s website, however, comes up with a warning from Google as being a suspicious site and distributing malware, so I reigned in my curiosity on this one. They smell like PVC, and are definitely not silicone.
