Feel Like A Princess
The Envy Ripple is pretty, and it packs a solid punch. Although it's made of PVC, it doesn't smell bad, and would be a good personal toy.

Pros
Unusual look, good length and diameter.
Cons
Made of PVC, only uses 2 AAA batteries, battery cap difficult to remove and replace.
The Envy Ripple by California Exotics is a lovely (and useful) vibrator that would be great in anyone’s toy collection. This vibrator is a pretty pink color, and comes nestled in a plastic box. It’s major drawback is that it’s made from PVC, a type of jelly material. Jelly usually is not phthalate-free, so be careful and use a condom if you share this toy, and wash well with soap and water.
The Envy Ripple is firm, yet supple. It also had no scent when I took it out of the box, which was a huge plus. The vibrator is about 7 1/2 “ of insertable length, and is about 1 ¼” diameter. Too small for size queens, perhaps, but a great size for a regular woman.
The Ripple has a very interesting design. The shaft has what looks like four upside down hearts on the top. The top, or tip, one is large – almost the diameter of the toy. Below this are two smaller hearts, and then the fourth, or bottom heart, is as wide as the rest of the toy. The rest of the shaft is covered with small raised hearts and a few vine lines that provide stimulation.
The base of this vibrator is unique – it looks like a crystal doorknob attached at the bottom. The box calls it a “designer” crystal cap. I laughed when I took it out of the box, but my husband was intrigued by this, and though it probably would look good to him when the vibrator was fully inserted. The vibrator is multi-speed, which you can change from a very low purr to fairly good vibrations with a twist of the crystal knob. The knob turns easily and stays put, so you can adjust and control the amount of vibrations. Since the Envy Ripple only uses 2 AAA batteries, it’s not as intense as it could be, but it does put out some good vibrations that will have you hot and horny in no time.
It was a challenge to put the batteries in the first time. I couldn’t get the base to unscrew, and I was afraid of twisting too hard on the knob and breaking it off. I finally pressed and turned just right, and the battery compartment was revealed. Putting the batteries in was easy, but then came the fun of getting the cap back on. I was afraid to break the knob this way as well. What I eventually figured out is that the base has to be aligned just right with the holes, and then you have to turn it with a bit of force so it snaps back on the base. I would have preferred if the bottom was more of a twist off, as that would have been so much easier.
We tried the Envy Ripple out several times vaginally, both with other toys and alone. Although I think the knob is kind of gimmicky, my husband thought it was great. He commented several times that he’d like to find a butt plug for me with a jeweled end to match this, which was a huge turn on. I found no problems thrusting with this toy, although I’m not sure the texture made much of a difference.
Overall, the Envy Ripple is a good vibrator for the adventurous girl. It’ll have you horny as a princess in no time.

Experience
Since I can't edit the followup review, I wanted to mention that the bottom finally broke off. The batteries went out at an inopportune time, and my husband wasn't as careful as he should have been. No more knob on the bottom! It's too bad, as this was a fun toy, and I thought it would hold up longer than it did.
Follow-up commentary
22 days after original review
I've only had to change the batteries once so far on this toy, so the battery life is pretty long. I was very careful with the base, although I found that removing and replacing it is much easier than it was the first few times I tried it. This really is a pleasant vibrator!
Unfortunately, I still don't have my coordinating jewel-ended butt plug to go with this, but I suspect an early birthday present from my husband will be coming soon.

Yeah, I have mixed feelings about that knob at the end too. It's cute, but it's totally gimmicky, like you said. Glad your husband liked it anyway!
-
I am going to have to get the jewel-ended plug to go with it to see what kind of reaction I get .
-
I can't tell whether or not I like those jewelish knobs on these toys. However, it's cute in general and I like the designs on the shaft.

The ripples look great. How do they feel going in and did they hit your g-spot? Thanks!
-
They feel really good going in, with plenty of lube. I don't think these hit my g-spot, although I'm pretty new to anything hitting/stimulating it.
