Overall, this toy is fun, fabulous, and a pleasure to use. It's simple enough for a beginner and varied enough for someone who knows their body a little better. Since I'm not hugely experienced myself, I have no comment on how it feels for someone more experienced. I would recommend this toy, or its "older siblings" (the bigger models), to anyone who enjoys vibrations.

Pros
Varied vibrations, easily cleaned/stored/carried, great for beginners and more experienced users.
Cons
Any "problems" are due to its size, easily dealt with by simply purchasing the next size up.
I recently purchased the Mini Magic as a replacement for my last vibrator, which has stumbled nobly to a halt after two years of vague usefulness. I am so pleased with my new Mini Magic for expanding my horizons of what a vibrator can actually do for me. I was quite bored with the previous toy, which only had a standard intensity dial and tended to go through batteries quickly.
I think this vibrator would be well suited for someone who has already experimented with external vibrations and is less satisfied with the "beginner" stuff. It would also do well as a beginner's toy.
It's great for solo use and small enough to be used externally during sex with a partner.
The handle is natural and comfortable, and the intensity/on/off button is definitely not a challenge to use. The smooth velvety matte finish of the toy makes it a pleasure to hold and not in any way uncomfortable during use. It's small and lightweight, which means your hand is less likely to get tired during use. The flexible neck between the head and the handle is yielding but strong. The ridges on the head are not very noticeable while the vibrations are on. The toy itself doesn't smell at all.
Since very similar versions of this product is available in two bigger sizes, I won't complain about the small size of the toy, especially since I think it does a fantastic job as a small wand vibrator. I have absolutely no complaints about the size. For someone who'd like to stay closer to $50 than $100 when buying a wand, this vibe performs fantastically.
A positive feature of being small, this toy is easily carried in a purse or other bag. I would definitely consider it discreet, especially if you use the sleeve it came with or another one.
The Mini Magic has a great silicone head, small but round, which sits very comfortably where it's held. It doesn't focus the vibrations too strongly and doesn't dissipate them too widely. It works great when on your back or sitting on it in a variety of positions. It's small enough that it can easily sit on the clit area while I use my LELO Ella for penetration. The vibrations also travel very well down Ella.
I don't always find it easy to go from zero to sixty when using toys, but the Mini Magic really got me going quickly. It has six vibration settings:
- Constant/low: slower, rumbly
- Constant/medium: faster, rumbly and more intense
- Constant/high: rapid, intense
- Repeated loop "small short buzz BIG LONG BUZZ"
- Repeated loop of buzzes lasting the same amount of time, escalating in intensity
- Repeated loop slow, low, rumbly bursts escalating to more rapid intense vibrations, with a little hitch in between
This toy is really easy to clean. The head is silicone and non-porous, and while it has grooves that need a little attention, I find it easy to clean with some anti-bacterial soap I bought for my piercings. Vibratex has little information on the packaging about care, but another reviewer contacted them and posted more info here: https://www.edenfantasys.com/sex-forum/sex-toys/vibrators/mini-magic-questions/
I would avoid submerging the toy, but Vibratex has said that running water over the base of the handle to clean is okay.
Since the head is silicone, silicone lube is a bad idea even if it is high-grade. The water based lube I use (Pjur Medical) works just fine, although I don't always need lube with this toy.
I would recommend against using the cloth pouch this toy comes with though. The matte texture of the material does pick up fluff from the bag, which is clearly of far cheaper quality than the toy itself. I actually keep it in the better pouch that came with my LELO Ella because I store Ella in the box it came in.
The packaging is clear plastic and contains some, but not much, information about the toy itself. I bought it at a highly recommended store (The Pleasure Chest), so I had no qualms about its quality. The employees were able to answer any questions I had about quality and care. The packaging itself isn't gorgeous, but it does the job without much waste.
Follow-up commentaryI still like it3 months after original review
I still really enjoy this toy! The only thing I've noticed is that it tends to use up the batteries quite quickly, even though I store them outside the toy when it's not in use. I've tried both alkaline and non-alkaline batteries and both last relatively briefly. I would recommend getting the version of this toy that comes with a charger, and this option is also more environmentally friendly. Another battery issue is that it tends to rumble quite loudly sometimes depending on how you're holding it.
