Fairies Are Real

The Baby of the Fairy line is a great pleaser, too! Its very attention-grabbing vibes are powerful enough for most, while its travel-friendly size and rechargeability are great pluses for others. While Baby is buzzy, it's not much more buzzy than the Pocket Mini. My only complaint is the amount of noise it makes and the open charging port!

Use

I'm not new to the Fairy line of toys and the Baby of the line is no slouch either! The small size and buzzing vibrations really make it feel like a fairy in your hand, honestly.

Complete

The Fairy Baby is great for those who don't require very rumbly frequencies and love tiny, portable toys. Fairy Baby really reminds me of a line of toys in the 90s that were all key-chain based -- it would fit right in and you'd never know. (Then again, maybe you don't want your vibrator rubbing up on everything, though). For this reason, Baby is great for traveling: tuck it into your computer bag along with its USB charger and it's available whenever you want it to be. But, Fairy Baby also has an open USB port without even little plastic flap to hide the electronic connections, which will no doubt be the death of it.

In terms of power, Baby is pretty decently strong. As an external toy only, Fairy Baby can be a great foreplay tool but is able to get the job done solo as well. For those who:
1. Know they love the Fairy line
2. Love cute toys or
3. Are looking for something very small and discreet

Then Baby is for you.

However, Baby will not please:
1. Those who need more power than 3 vrooms
2. Need rumbly vibrations
3. Can't stand the incredibly high-pitched whine
4. *Or need penetration, obviously.

Material / Texture

The Baby is made of plastic all over -- it has a hard plastic body that forms the handle portion with a hard plastic slide button and a softer plastic head. This head is ridged along the sides and smooth on the top. It's very similar to the Fairy Pocket Mini in shape, material and composition. I'm assuming the entirety of the Baby is plastic, like the FPM, but the packaging is completely is Japanese.

There's little of this toy to smell, taste or provide any texture stimulation -- it really doesn't have any of the three.

The head of the Baby, much like the Pocket Mini, is slightly flexible. It bends on a neck, but not very far. I don't find that this impacts play very much.

Design / Shape / Size

Baby is a tiny wand. Like any wand, Baby can stimulate your clitoris but is not meant to be inserted vaginally or anally. Baby could also be used as a foreplay aid on the nipples or anus, but not much more. Among wands and most vibrators, I'm pretty sure Baby is the smallest yet still effective vibrator.

That's the real question anyone is really interested in when it comes to the Baby -- can a lady orgasm with this? Oh, yes. I thought it was possible, but it was even easier than I thought! I admit that I bought the Baby since I already owned the Pocket Mini and I'm definitely pleased.

Measurements:

I'm surprised every time I pick up the Baby, actually. The small size makes it easily hidden in the palm of your hand and makes the button accessible. As you might imagine, the small size also makes Baby great for traveling, though you'll have to find it a box for the toy itself and the USB charger. For some, it may verge on too small -- anyone with large hands and fingers might feel like an awkward giant. Possibly, it's so small as to be lost easily.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Baby has only one mode: on, full power. There are no patterns or different speed levels. I think this is delightfully simple, since I'm a fan of steady vibrations and I almost always jump to the highest power setting anyway. I'm impatient, I know.

The vibrations are everywhere in this toy, which isn't surprising, since the small size means you can't escape them. If you really hate buzzy fingers, Baby isn't for you. At the same time, no power is lost or buried.

The single button is within easy reach at any time during play.

The Noise:
Baby is pretty loud and pretty annoying. The hard plastic casing seems to rattle and hum in a way that makes Baby extra loud. I found that I can position the Baby in my hand to smother the noise significantly, but it's definitely a con. I want to say that Baby is as loud as 4 vrooms, but not like a 'large appliance' sort of way -- just in a really high-pitched, impossible to ignore sort of way.

The Water Test:
I found a great way to 'see' vibrational power when you can't hold a toy in your hand by partially submerging vibrators in a shallow dish of water. The water test is a great way to visually compare toys' vibrational strength as well as getting a better idea of the quality of vibrations: buzzy or rumbly.

I compared the Baby to the Pocket Mini. The Pocket Mini is the top picture while the Baby is the bottom.

You can see from the smaller ripples that the Baby is the buzzier of the two. Additionally, the FPM is stronger, but not overwhelmingly so. Baby can definitely hold its own -- don't underestimate it.

Care and Maintenance

The Baby's size makes it difficult to clean and avoid getting fluids in the open port. This is one of Baby's few flaws. Lube on your fingers? Don't touch the always-open port, except there's only about 2 inches of the toy to hold. Holding the wand very close and parallel to yourself? Look out!

Being plastic, Baby may be used with many kinds of lubes: oil, water or silicone (I personally favor water-based lubricants).

To solve the packaging problem, I found a small gauze, drawstring bag that easily holds both the Baby and its USB charger. A medium-sized jewelry box would also do the trick. The original packaging was just a display blister pack with pink fairies -- not exactly reuseable.

Follow-up commentary
So this is the real feeling of 'novelty toy'. The Fairy Baby Wand is cute, portable, tiny, good for a pretty strong tease, but it's so buzzy I can't stand it. For a cute stocking-stuffer type gift? Sure thing, Baby is perfect, Baby is fun and attractive. As an actual sex toy? You can do way, way better.
