A great beginner toy for the tattoo set out there that want to bring that aesthetic along in their toys - or any beginner looking for an inexpensive traditional vibrator that can deliver a wide range of sensations from subtle to strong to very strong - with the added bonus of being waterproof.

Pros
Great beginner toy for clitoral stimulation.
Cons
A little loud considering it's greatest use will be for external stimulation.
The Inked Vibes Superslim is your basic 70's vintage plastic 'traditional' vibe - with the update of an 'inked' tattoo-like decal applied. The decal is of a skull with a sword driven through it, a serpent wrapped through an eye and flanked by a couple of roses. Aesthetics are not my thing - if you like skull tattoos - I'm sure you'll be impressed.
As a traditional vibe, it's best use would be for straight up clitoral stimulation. The vibe has a traditional twist dial for controlling the speed of vibration. The speeds range from subtle to very strong vibrations at the high end. Although it's not waterproof, the construction seems durable enough for such an inexpensive toy.
The toy is relatively narrow - as you would expect by the 'slimline' description - making it a good choice for beginners. However, since it's straight you can't expect much G-spot stimulation. Although thin enough for comfortable anal use - even for beginners, it doesn't have a flared base so it is not recommended for anal play.
My wife often uses a straight vibe like this to complement internal stimulation from dildos like the PureWand or glass wands - this one is simply too loud for her taste - we still have teenagers at home. They're old enough to know what's going on - but why advertise!
The hard black plastic has no odor or taste - and the decal looks to be very well applied - it should stay put for a long time. One advantage of the plastic is that you should be able to use any lube you like - or none at all!
Because it's completely smooth and fairly narrow - less than 1" in diameter, it's not going to be very interesting for advanced users - but in my mind a great little gem for beginners.
I feel like I'm being a bit repetitious - this is my first use of this review format - here goes.
The design did nothing for me - although my wife got a little chuckle out of the skull, snakes, sword and roses. I like the black plastic color - but we're not into skull tattoos - but many are, so to each his own.
Is it easy to hide - interesting question? It's small and unobtrusive - but the tattoo decal would catch your eye if you were to see the vibe inadvertently. I see no problem taking this on a trip - just make sure you stay in a hotel with thick walls or turn up the music!
Like most traditional vibes the multi-speed dial is at the base and the motor is in the tip. The vibes run from subtle to very strong and are concentrated at in the top 2" of the 7" long shaft.
At just less than 1" in diameter it should be easy to insert for a beginner.
It's too bad this unit isn't waterproof - the strong vibrations would work good underwater - and the water would mute the rather loud sound it makes at the high settings.
Correction - the unit is waterproof - at least it has the requisite o-ring to seal off the battery compartment. Sorry the vibe is black as is the O-ring so I missed it! I'd feel pretty safe with this in the shower - but I don't think I'd submerge it very deep or for very long - that's just my bias.
All things considered this vibe is well made and should provide a long useful life if properly cared for. Since it's not waterproof - if your not careful when you wash it - you can get water where you don't want it and short out the electronics.
We use silicone and oil-based (nut and vegetable oil products - like Shea butter, cocoa butter and almond oil) which all work fine with hard plastics - obviously water-based lubes would be fine.
I actually liked the packaging for this product. It was a decorated mostly clear plastic but with no gaudy pornographic adornments - classy I thought. Don't get me wrong - I don't have anything against porn - it just doesn't do much for me as part of the packaging.
The instructions were certainly adequate - how hard can it be to install 2 AA batteries - but if you've just emerged from a space craft and can speak any of 4 languages - you can read how to do it!
This is my first 'assigned' review and I feel that it's a bit uninspiring - because the product is uninspiring. I've learned my lesson and will only go for assignments that are more in line with where my wife and I are in life - certainly not beginners!
Follow-up commentaryI've started to like it more10 months after original review
The super slim Inked vibe is a little loud - but it's a good basic vibe. A good choice for those who like modest dimensions and like their vibes internal - where the sound is less pronounced - or just don't worry about sound levels.

Is it really not water proof? I just got this in the mail today and for some reason I thought the box said it was waterproof? Oh now I'm lost. LOL Great review

Nice job with your first Extended format review

JHall27 - I stand corrected - upon further inspection I did see the little o-ring that makes the unit waterproof - and I have modified my review accordingly.
That's one of the things I love about EF - the ability to go back and edit reviews is great.
Now if they would just add the ability to edit our comments - that would be great!

I know, being able to edit things rocks. I didn't know if it is or isn't water proof. Some things say it is but turns out it really isn't. I have the i Tap and it has the O ring but so not water proof. I just wanted to make sure it really is before I take it for a dip in the tub.
