The Evolved Novelties Marvel is a dual action, 'rabbit' type, vibrator belonging to Evoloved's 'Slendors' line and is perfect for both solo and partner use. Marvel is soft and flexible with moderate vibrations (3 Vrooms) at both the clitoral and g-spot stimulation locations.

The Marvel is the perfect choice for someone looking to purchase their first dual action vibe as the 8" overall length (4.75" insertable)and 4.25" circumference (1.25" diameter) are neither overwhelming nor intimidating. The Marvel is also soft, smooth, and flexible with moderate vibrations (3 vrooms); again making it a great choice for someone who is looking for a first vibrator and/or is uncomfortable with some of the more intense toys available.

One size does not however fit all and this is never more true than with a rabbit type vibrator as the shape of the vibrator is a critical factor in the overall effectiveness of a particular rabbit vibrator with each individual user's anatomy. The angle between the shaft and the clitoral stimulator, length and firmness of the clitoral stimulator, angle and firmness of the g-spot stimulator, etc all must match the user's anatomical geography (now that would have been a class to take!). A 'great' vibe that doesn't hit the spot for someone is not a great vibe for that person. The Marvel's flexibility does provide it some ability to adapt to the user's anatomy so I think this concern is somewhat mitigated with this toy.

The Marvel by Evolved Exotics is made from TPR which feels soft and silky to the touch and rates a 7 on the EF safety scale. The Marvel is completely smooth; a feature that, while eliminating the possibility of some extra stimulation, lends itself well to a "beginner's" vibe. It is so smooth, in fact, that it can be quite slippery when wet and the occasional fumble is to be expected.

I was unable to detect much, if any, odor to the Marvel. There may have been a slight, very slight, chemical smell when brand new (possibly some mold release agent?) but it was gone with the first wash.

TPR is porous so I would recommend using a condom if the toy will be shared.

The design of the Marvel was a huge success with my wife who was somewhat apprehensive about trying it. She had tried other rabbit vibes in the past without much success (there's that 'fit' thing again) but, once she turned on the Marvel, she was sold! She was able to quickly and easily move the Marvel into position and was able to enjoy the experience instead of worrying about moving/keeping the vibe in place. I had some more trouble using it on her but we were still able to get good results that way.

She has mentioned two things about the Marvel she would change if she could; A) Give it a bigger circumference, and B)provide a lower low speed. Neither of these were deal breakers for her however.

I would add two more suggestions for design changes. The first involves the power/speed button which is on the extreme end of the unit. This is a push button that pushes a little to easily and we found it too easy to accidentally change speeds, or even turn it off, during use. My second change ties in with the power button in that I think the 'handle' is a little too short and to small around. This made it rather difficult for me to hold onto it but it was better for my wife.

The Marvel is rather small and should not be hard to hide but I would not call it discreet. There's really no mistaking what it is intended to be used for. I would not hesitate to pack it in a checked suitcase but would thnk more than twice before carrying it in a carry-on bag.

The Marvel functions are limited to three various vibration intensities which are applied to both the clitoral stimulator and the g-spot stimulator. The vibrations are produced by two separate generators but the generators are 'synced' meaning that they turn on, off, and change speed at the same time/rate which is controlled by the single switch. Our experience with the Marvel seems to indicate it is much more effective with clitoral stimulation than with G-spot stimulation. We are fairly certain this will be mediated to some degree with more familiarity but that it is also a result of the fit. Again, not all women have the exact same body form so not all vibes will work the same.

The vibrations range from slight/moderate to moderate in our opinion. This is more than sufficient for our/my wife's needs at this time but we both see how this may not be enough as she uses the Marvel more often and acclimates to the sensation.

The control button at the handle end is nicely located and is easy to use, perhaps too easy as I mentioned above.

The Marvel is in the middle of the pack when it comes to noise. Low speed is rather quiet and should not be detectable through a closed door but the higher speeds may be. Also, our particular unit occasionally tends to occasionally produce a louder 'buzz' or 'clacking' that seems to be caused by some of the internal, hard plastic pieces rubbing together. This would definitely carry through a closed door. Moving the Marvel, flexing it, turning it off and on can make this buzz go away for at least a while but it has always come back.

We have not yet tried this toy in the bath/shower but I will report back on that in a follow up review; hopefully in the near future!

The Marvel is a care and maintenance dream. Hot water and soap after use, zap it with an antibacterial toy cleaner (very optional, see my other review), wait 30 seconds, hot water rinse, let dry, put it away. It does not seem to attract lint (and we've dropped it a few times)and the TPR material is safe to use with both water and silicone based lubes.

We store the Marvel in it's original metal box inside and then place the box inside our toy box (a locked plastic tool box from the hardware store).

The Marvel comes in a metal box with a lid that has cam latches on each end to hold the lid in place. The lid has a plastic window that leaves the interior contents clearly visible. The interior of the box features a foam insert with a cut out in the shape of the Marvel. The Marvel fits snugly into that cutout and does not rattle when the box is moved. The fit is snug enough to allow the box to be inverted without the Marvel working loose. The metal box arrived with a plain white cardboard sleeve around the outside that the box slid out of.

This box is wonderful and it is the Marvel's home when not actually in use.

This is bad of me but I do not remember any instructions coming with the Marvel. We were excited to open it and try it and this is not exactly rocket science.....

We were excited to try this toy but also rather apprehensive due to past failures with rabbit vibrators. We were pleasantly surprised (maybe even a little relieved)to discover that Evolved's Marvel greatly exceeded our (especially my wife's) expectations.

We have used this toy for both solo play and for couples play.
