Even my ovaries felt it!
If you want the power of a Hitachi, with more control then off, fast or blow your head off, then this is for you!

Pros
variable dial allows you to ramp up the power incrementally and start off slow
Cons
dial is a little too sensitive
Magic wands are by definition supposed to be magic, and the time-honored, much loved, classic, the Hitachi Magic Wand, hasn’t always been magic for me. I am just one of those girls that finds it a little too stimulating right off the bat. Imagine how excited I was to discover the Fairy--a magic wand with a variable speed dial!! I love that it comes in pink!!!
I admit the pinkness attracted me straight away (A Cherry is allowed her vices. Thank you very much!) I have found it in several sizes both on the internet and in stores. I tested the larger size (which is about the same size as the Hitachi). The head is a little smaller than a fist and is a more even shape. The head is a hard plastic, which to me feels a little nicer than the Hitachi. It does have a number of ridges on it making it a bit of a pain to clean. I would certainly recommend using a condom if using it for penetration!
Having to plug it in does make it less versatile than non-corded toys, but we do live in a world of extension cords people! Personally I didn’t notice the cord once I got going. I imagine if you are a person who moves around alot when masturbating it may be more of a concern. Just imagine the conversation “Darling could you please come help me, I appear to be choking myself with my Fairy cord”
The benefit of plug-in-the-wall over non-plug-in-the-wall types is the power of the vibration, and I mean POWER! It is pretty excellent when you remember that a whole bunch of that fun-nub, the clitoris, is hidden away inside. I found that the Fairy certainly gives enough vibrations to get deep inside, that my ovaries felt it! To be fair I tried it next to the (in)famous Hitachi Magic Wand and could not descern any difference in the power of the vibration when at top speed. With great power comes great responsibility; and by responsibility I mean noise. This is NOT a discreet vibrator. It has those nice deep vibrations but there is also a whine, that will be heard by people in the other room.
Where the Fairy wins points, for me, is in having a variable speed dial. Being able to build up the vibrations means a much more pleasurable experience than with the regular Hitachi. Plus it is a dial rather than a stepped sequence. However, there was a downside. The dial is VERY sensitive and almost too easy to accidentally turn the speedup or down. That can be distracting, especially if somebody else is driving.
