Epona, the G-Spot Goddess

Epona is a very nice g-spot vibrator, and the shape and vibrations work well for my clit too. If it was rechargeable (or if I had a smaller collection and wasn't as picky) this would be one of my favourite toys.

Use

Epona is a g-spot vibrator from the Touche line by Shots Media. It can also be used for clitoral stimulation, or on any other external areas.

Epona is splashproof, but not waterproof. That means you can use it in the shower, but you shouldn't submerge it in water. It's a quiet toy, which would be good for those in shared living situations.

Material / Texture

Epona is made from silicone which is a medical-grade, non-porous material with no smell or taste. It is phthlate free, and Touche actually provides lab results on their website proving that their toys don't contain pthalates.

Eponas's silicone is very silky and feels similar to the silicone used for Lelo toys. The silicone is firm and only has a slight amount of give. The tip has a bit of flexibilty, but is still able to apply a good amount of pressure.

According to the manual, Touche's silicone is so smooth that lubricant usually isn't required for vaginal use. Speaking as someone who rarely uses lube for PIV sex, I was able to insert the toy without adding any lube but still found thrusting more comfortable once I added a small amount.

Epona's only texture comes from 2 small ridges that run diagonally across the front of the shaft. I'm very sensitive to texture, but I barely noticed the ridges during use. When the head of the toy was on my g-spot the lower ridge stayed outside of my vagina, and the upper ridge stayed inside, so they didn't irritate my vaginal opening.

Design / Shape / Size

Epona is a bit on the small side with 6 1/4 inches total length and 4 1/4 inches insertable, but will long enough to reach most g-spots. It was able to reach mine easily with a couple of extra inches left for thrusting. The shaft is 1 3/8 inches wide or 4 1/4 inches circumference, which is a little bit narrower than most of my toys. The size didn't provide a lot of stimulation, but the shape did. The curve was deep enough to put a good amount of pressure on my g-spot. The tip is tapered, but due to the curve I found I had to use a hooking motion because the top of the toy was too wide for me to push it straight in.

I find that g-spot vibrators tend to make good clitoral vibrators. That is true of Epona. The curved tip and the length of the shaft make it very easy to target my clit without straining my arm. The tip can be used for pinpoint stimulation, but I prefer to hug my clit with the curve.

Epona runs on 2 AAA batteries. The battery cap pops on or off with a small twist. There are markings on the toy showing the correct direction to insert the batteries.

Functions / Performance / Controls

A single button on the base of the toy turns on the vibrations and cycles through the settings. You can turn the toy off quickly by holding the button down.

Epona has 10 settings; 3 speeds of steady vibrations and 7 patterns. Here is a picture from the manual illustrating the settings:

Since there are so many settings, most people should be able to find something that works for them. I wish the toy had a forward and back button, because it can take a bit of time to cycle through the patterns to find what you're looking for.

Touche toys use ultrasonic motors. According to the manual, the ultrasonic vibrations carry throughout the toy better than regular vibrations. The vibrations do carry pretty well throughout the toy, but they are strongest in the tip. I really can't feel a difference from regular vibrations. The manual warns that because of the ultrasonic vibes, Epona shouldn't be used by pregnant or menstruating women or anyone with a medical condition without consulting a doctor. There was no explanation provided as to how this could cause harm.

Epona is the same strength, but a little buzzier than my other Touche toy, Brigit. It's also about the same strength as Gigi, but a bit louder.

Care and Maintenance

Epona is compatible with water or oil based lubes; silicone lubes can damage silicone toys. Epona can be washed with soap and water, or toy cleaner. Silicone vibrators can be disinfected with a 10% bleach solution.

Packaging

Epona comes in a classy matte black box with a shiny diamond pattern. There is a cut-out on the front, and a magnetic flap on the back, so the toy is visible. Epona is held in place by a molded plastic insert. Batteries are included. There is a detailed manual with instructions and care information in many languages. It includes a 1 year warranty.
