The lovely thing about the Hitachi is that it's kind of an all round toy. It can be used by practically anyone for external stimulation, and is even better when used in pairs. Whether being used in conjunction with an internal toy or a partner, it proves it's worth, sometimes repeatedly in one go. My go to for overstimulation play, especially in scenes calling for orgasm denial.

The handle of the Hitachi is a little bit uncomfortable over time, somewhat because of the vibrations that travel through the toy and into your hand and partially because it has no real grip to it and if you accumulate sweat/lubricant on your fingers it will get a little troublesome to hold onto.
The head of the toy allows for a slight bend from the handle and is slightly ridged, although during actual play you don't really notice the change in texture.

The toy is much easier to use with a partner, as the handle is pretty long for just one person to handle and can get almost awkward if trying to resettle it during stimulation - partially because the vibrations will numb out your hand and also due to the length of the handle. However when used with a partner you don't necessarily have to worry about that due to the extra hands and general extra room to operate within.
As this was my first clitoral stimulator, it was a little intimidating at first due to the size - the head is fairly large to accommodate use as not only a sex toy, but also a general massager - but certainly wasn't as frightening as some other stimulators I'd seen.

Hitachi is an unfortunately loud toy - normally the vibration sounds require both a closed door and a bit of noisy music to cover up, but that's excused by the amount of stimulation it puts out. It's a wall plug in (not rechargeable) and non waterproof, but again: Even the low setting feels remarkably like magic.
It has a base 2 setting control, but there are extraneous control boxes that you can purchase that make the settings much more variable and interesting to play with.
The main point of vibration does occur in the head of the toy, but it's strong enough to travel through all of it. The switch for the vibration is in the top 1/3 of the handle, a convenient press switch that isn't sensitive enough for me to hit against it when my hands inevitably start fumbling.

The head of the wand itself has a silicone finish, so silicone based lubricants are out. I normally clean it before and after use with warm water and antibacterial soap, which is really all that you need.
Because of it's length (not counting the cord), I had to find a completely new place to put it, so it's not even in the general vicinity of my other toys, but other than making sure the cord is wrapped loosely in at least a similar wrap to how it came. This keeps the cord from messing up and the wires inside from breaking or bending too out of shape to function.

The wand came in a box inside another box, so it was very discreet. The internal box had the actual package information as well as the user guide. The guide specified not to use the toy too long in case of motor burnout as well as how to properly store it and the cord. It made a note about which lubricants not to use with it, and really told me all I needed to know with bullet points.
