This toy is for external use only, but don't let that limit or discourage you. It can be used for nipple or clitoral stimulation. Though, I am sure this toy is geared mostly for the clitoris, it can be used to tease every inch of your partner's body or your own. It can be used on the clitoris during sex without getting in the way. You could also press it to the end of an anal plug for extra stimulation. Lelo describes the Nea as "Splashproof", though they warn you not to submerge it and to keep water away from the buttons and the DC-socket. This toy would work for a wide range of users, from beginners to advanced users. It's an attractive, easy to use, quality product.

A slick plastic finish is smooth to the touch and slides easily against your skin. A little lube adds to the fun, but too much and it will be like trying to squeeze a wet, vibrating bar of soap. The two control buttons are only slightly raised. The plastic has no taste or smell.

Very compact size; you could easily take it with you in a purse or suitcase. It will fit comfortably in the palm of your hand. The vibrations are definitely concentrated at the tip. The toy's shape fits nicely against a woman's pubic area with the tip resting against the clitoris. I'm a slim, yoga body-type, though I don't see why it wouldn't fit other body-types just as well. It is easy to hold and use the tip to tease the body. The toy's design is very elegant; it almost doesn't look like a sex toy. Lelo specifies that Nea measures "75 x 36 x 25 mm" and weighs "37 grams".

As I stated before, the vibrations are definitely concentrated in the tip of the toy. Its very easy to use with only two button controls. The buttons light up when you press them and stay on when the device is on. Hold both buttons for a few seconds, the light will blink, to "lock" the toy so it won't accidentally power on. Hold both buttons for a few seconds, again the light will blink, to "unlock" it. Use the right button to power on and to increase speed/ intensity. Use the left button to decrease speed/ intensity and to power off. From what I can tell, there are 15 different levels of intensity. Personally, I feel like it's a pretty powerful little vibe. It's easy to plug in to any outlet to charge. The light will blink while charging and remain steady once fully charged. Lelo specifies that Nea will fully charge in 2 hours, provide 7 hours of use from that charge, or retain that charge for up to 90 days while on stand-by. I've had this toy for years and it still holds a charge for a long time when "dormant". I've used this toy a lot over the last few years and it can still last for many uses in between charges.

Easy to clean, but don't submerge it in water. You can use toy cleaner or a soapy wash-cloth, just keep water away from the charging port on the back of the toy. Lelo recommends "Always clean Nea thoroughly before and after each use. Wash the body (specifically the pleasure point) with warm water and antibacterial soap, rinse with clean hot water and pat dry with a lint-free cloth or towel. Avoid submerging and getting water into the DC-socket or around the buttons." It's easy to store, simply place it in a drawer, keep it out on your night stand, or put it back in the attractive box it came in. Lelo recommends using an "approved silicone- or water-based lubricant". Like with most electronic toys, avoid leaving it in dire4ct sunlight and don't expose it to extreme heat. Nea is compatible with most all lubricants, just try to keep extra lube away from the DC-port. Lelo does state "Never use massage oil or hand cream as lubricants or cleansers containing alcohol, petrol or acetone." I've washed mine with warm water and Provon soap or Dial soap, I've wiped it down with Universal Toy Cleaner or Berman Center Toy Cleaner (both by CalExotic) and a towel; I don't see any difference in my Nea today, than when I first received it 7 years ago.

Lelo provides beautiful packaging for the Nea; a textured black box with a clear plastic jacket which is printed with the same floral motif as the Nea, itself. The only marking on the black box is "LELO" stamped on the center of the lid. Slide off the jacket and remove the lid of the box to see the Nea. A hard, clear plastic shell holds the Nea in an indentation on a black plastic insert within the box. You can remove this insert to find the charger and manual tucked away in the bottom of the box. I've used the box to store my Nea in my night stand over the last 7 years and it has held up to my frequent opening and closing.

This is one of my go-to toys. I use it to warm up for sex, I use it during sex, I use it on my partner, I use it by myself (with or without a dildo). It's easy to use with just one hand, it hugs my body, it's not cumbersome and it doesn't get in the way during sex. It's the most expensive sex toy I have purchased for myself, but it's held up for the last 7 years and it's still going strong. The vibrations are enough to please me most of the time without any additional "assistance". There are times when a girl needs the power the Hitachi has to offer, but let me remind you that Nea is not anything like a Hitachi.
