The box this toy comes in claims that this toy is 'unscented'. While there normally would be some type of scent, even a 'new' smell to a toy, this one truly lived up to its claim. There was no smell when the box was opened.

Butterfly Dreams comes in three vibrant colors; purple, blue, and pink. This vibrator is designed to look like a butterfly, but also has a long 'shaft', unrealistically sized compared to it. The look of the butterfly itself even looks odd; more like a combination of a bird and a hornet with butterfly wings. It's truly a more artistic looking item than realistic.

The insertable 'shaft' on the butterfly isn't exactly phallic, but does have a slight upward curve to it that's designed to work well with your g-spot. The size of this toy is great for beginning toy users and those that prefer slimmer toys. The included bullet is all white in color, other than the silver plated cap. It's wider at the top (where the battery compartment is), but narrows to a rounded point, making it simple to insert it inside the hole on the back of the butterfly. The coloring and size make it look like it should be some type of applicator. It is longer and thinner than most standard bullets, being 3 3/4" long, though the hole inside the toy will fit most sizes.

Since the toy isn't large, hiding it is fairly easy. The bullet functions using one AAA battery that's not included with the toy. Unscrew the battery cap, put the battery in plus side down, screw the cap back on, and the bullet is ready to go! Where the cap meets the bullet there's a small rubber ring. This is what makes the bullet waterproof. Always make sure that the cap is screwed on tightly to avoid any water from accidentally leaking into the compartment.

The bullet has three different vibration intensities; low, medium, and high. There's no variety in pattern, only a difference in the power each setting puts out. There's only one button on the toy, and it controls all the functions. This button is located on the top of the cap. When you press it once it brings you to the lowest setting. As you start to press it for a second time the vibration stops. It sort of pauses in between each setting. The second press bring you to the medium setting, and a third press brings you to the highest. A fourth click turns the toy off, and cycling through the settings is the only way to power off the toy. The bullet doesn't hold your setting, and holding in the button will only pause the vibrations; it won't turn the toy off. The power button is in a convenient location, making it easy to change the function, even while it's in use!

Even on the highest setting, the vibrations aren't all that powerful. It would be acceptable for someone who's sensitive to vibrations, but would disappoint someone who needs powerful toys in order to take them over the edge. On top of the toy not being super powerful, it is fairly loud. When used inside the toy it is a little more muffled, but can still be heard through a closed door. If you need toys that are quiet because of your living situation, than this might not be the best choice. However, since the hole in the back of the butterfly is a standard size, most bullets will fit inside, making it easy to replace this loud one with another that will work better for you. Whether you use the included bullet or replace it with one of your own, using a small amount of lubricant inside the hole helps it to slip in and out effortlessly!

The material of this toy is very easy to care for. Before and after each use, make sure to clean with anti bacterial soap and warm water or your favorite toy cleaner. Simple as that. Since TPR can't be sterilized by boiling, make sure to use a condom if you plan on sharing with another partner or between orifices.

TPR can be used with both silicone and water based lubricants.

Since the material of this toy is like a magnet to dust and hair, it's important to keep it stored in a plastic bag or small container to prevent it from getting dirty during storage. It has a small amount of information on the back, bottom, and sides. Though the box isn't discreet, it is tasteful in the sense that there's no nudity on it.

Inside the box, the toy comes in a clear plastic bag. The bullet is already inserted into the back of the butterfly, but will need to be removed in order to insert the battery. The only informational paper that's included with this toy is about battery insertion.

The box can be used as storage for the toy, or it can be broken down and recycled.
