This vibrator is best suited for g-spot stimulation. The soft, raised bumps on the underside of the head are designed to massage and sensually stimulate the g-spot, or any other area of the vagina that is not easily stimulated by rigid vibrators. It doubles as a wonderful clitoral vibrator since the motor is on the head of the toy, and is able to send the strongest vibration when using the tip to stimulate the clitoris or nipples. From what I can see this vibrator is for vaginal insertion only. This toy is great for solo use, and with a partner. The easy to use control pad attached to the vibrator could be handled by your mate while you do the dittling!
No. 54 is made of TPR Silicone which is a silicone based rubber compound. Right out of the package the vibrator had a mild rubber-like odor. The toy is hard yet smooth to the touch. It has three soft nubs on the underside of the head of the toy which increases sensation and stimulation.
I personally do not like the design. I think it would be more comfortable if it was not so drastically curved. I find it uncomfortable when inserted and have basically used it for clitoral stimulation. The size and girth of the toy is manageable. The toy is 8 inches, though the insertable length is about 6 inches. The head of the vibrator is the thickest part. I believe a vibrator of this size isn't best for beginners. Overall, I would not recommend this toy to an individual who is either new to g-spot stimulation vibrators, or does not like girthy or curved sex toys.
The vibrator motor is located at the head of this toy, which is why it is so great for clitoral stimulation, but not so great during insertion. The vibration tends to concentrate at the head and not throughout the whole length. The control pad on this vibrator is very simple. On and Off buttons are used to control the speed of the vibrations. The toy is rather quiet when the lower speeds are used. However, when using the highest speed it can get noisy. I wouldn't recommend using it in a dorm room setting. Although this toy is waterproof, I used caution when using it in the shower. The pad is connected to the vibrator by a wire, and I did not want to get that wet. It worked well when using the tip for stimulation in the bathtub. I wouldn't suggest totally submerging this toy.
This toy should be washed with warm water and an antibacterial toy cleaner or soap before and after use. Because of the curve and shape of this toy it is rather difficult to store. The box could be used as an alternate storage area, but the packaging for this toy is made of clear plastic, so that may not be the most discreet storage for it. a large soft silk lined draw string bag would be best. The toy is silicone and rubber based, so water based lubricants are best for this toy.
The packaging is very pretty, though no discreet. You can see the toy through the clear plastic the box is made of. I think this toy in particular or any of the Lucid Dream toys make by Doc Johnson would make great gifts. They are cute, odd looking for the most part, but inexpensive and well made.
Personally, this toy is rather useless. When I do use it, I use it for clitoral and other stimulation. When inserted I found it uncomfortable when the head itself was inserted, and when pushed deeper inside. When fully inserted (about 6 inches or so) I could barely feel the vibrations. I found the vibrations to range from weak to mild. Though when using it on my clitoris, or to stimulate my nipples, I found the vibrations to be rather strong.
Follow-up commentaryI still don't like it1 month after original review
This product was an overall disappointment. I didn't like the way it felt, the vibrations were mostly weak, and after a while the cord became damaged due to rough use I suspect. I still used it for a while after that since it seemed to work if I pulled the cord taught. Just last week I decided to chuck it since it wasn't working out for me. I do not mourn its loss.
