Having only used a handful of cheaper bullets myself, reviewing the double click was a new and very satisfying upgrade to a sleek, modern and well thought out design. Most of us know the fun that one bullet can provide, but adding a second into the mix makes things a little trickier in some ways, but also more exciting in others. When used for clitoral stimulation you can nestle one or both bullets between your lips and either leave them stationary and exert a little pressure, or slide them around as the texture feels great. Similarly, these can also be used for external stimulation in a variety of other situations, one bullet on each nipple, or tickling the perineum/outside of the anus. The seven different vibration patterns also offer many sensations which can be used to tease and build tension in all sorts of scenarios.

It can get a little hard to juggle both bullets at once as you don't have the option just to use one at a time, so you may just end up leaving one dangling on the side. This can be somewhat frustrating, but ultimately the Climax Clicks is a set of double bullets and has been designed for both to be used at once, so if you're itching for a single bullet then you really have to improvise a bit or face facts and switch to another product. The fragile wiring of the bullets makes them unsuitable for anal play, as the bullet may come loose from the wires and get lost in regions where no unsecured object should ever venture. However, I don't see that there are huge issues when using these vaginally, provided the bullets are not removed by tugging on the cord, so as not to damage the toy. They're hard plastic and easy enough to remove and with the double bullets you can pop one inside and have the other rest on your clit for a great dual sensation. However, for shared play a condom is advisable as they cannot be fully sterilized and may be handy to make removal easier for the solo player.

The controller and bullets are made from a striking tangerine coloured, phthalates-free hard plastic. This has a smooth matte finish which feels delightful against your skin and is more comfortable than the super sleek and shiny plastic finish on many cheaper bullets. It doesn't have any discernible taste or scent and is versatile for all sorts of stimulation as it won't catch on or irritate any sensitive areas, even when rubbed around quite firmly. The controller itself has ribbed edges to make it easy to grip during use and won't slip around in your hand, even if things get heated and a bit messy.

The overall look of the Climax Clicks double click is a very funky and modern one, with a sleek design and unusual colour. This look is reflected in the crisp white packaging the toy comes in and the overall understated feel to it. It's definitely a step ahead of the somewhat outdated colours and traditional designs you see many toy companies using today. The one issue I did have with the packaging is the lack of instructions as to how to pull the two halves of the controller apart to access the battery compartment. You really do have to use a fair bit of force and pull the halves apart, in a manner which feels like you'll literally snap the thing in half, but this appears to be the right way to do it, especially if you follow the little arrow on the controller. It takes two AAA batteries that you simply slot in.

Each bullet is a touch over two inches long, so about the standard size, and they stretch 5" apart from base to base, with controller to bullet cord length of about 32". This means you have enough room for most sorts of play and positions, without having a whole heap of wires that you could end up tangled in. Perhaps the length of cord between the bullets could be a touch longer, but I didn't find this too restrictive. The bullets themselves do have a noticeable seam around the middle, which can be felt with your fingertips, but doesn't seem to affect play elsewhere and couldn't be felt when inserted.

The Climax Clicks double click bullets provide seven different vibration buttons which you can cycle through via the clicker button located underneath the top loop. It is turned on and shut off simply with a press of the power button located on the front. Though other reviewers seem to have had issues with the clicker itself, for me it has worked perfectly every time. I slide two fingers through the top loop and use them both to press down with, holding the rest of the controller in my hand. I find it sits comfortably and it is easy to access the power button with my thumb this way.

The vibration patterns are as follows:
1. Mid range steady vibration
2. Low strength short pulses
3. 3 seconds of low strength, short vibrations, 8 of steady mid range vibrations and then 16 seconds of strong vibrations
4. A mixture of short vibrations and Bzz Bzz Bzz style (strong then weaker bursts) in medium and high strengths
5. Strong steady vibrations for about 10 seconds, then down to medium for around 4 seconds
6. bzz bzz BZZZ *pause* repeat pattern
7. Low strength short vibrations for about 4 seconds, then steady high vibrations for 12

Those wanting a lot of power between their legs simply on a steady vibration may be disappointed, but the escalating patterns which build up to that maximum strength really make it feel stronger than a steady vibration, which can be a little numbing at times. The variation in patterns really makes this toy great to play with, as you can tease with the shorter bursts and weaker vibrations and move up to the higher ones when necessary. This bullet is relatively quiet, but of course is rather noisy if the bullets collide, in the same way any vibrating toy on a hard surface will be loud; it's nothing unusual. The packaging claims that this toy is waterproof and the battery compartment was hard enough to open that there may be some truth to this, but I really like it too much to submerge the controller in water to check! So whilst I'll be sticking to dry land with the double click, I'd suggest it would be splash-proof for those shower lovers out there.

As the controller and bullets are made from hard plastic, clean-up is very simple. A few sprays of toy cleaner and a wipe down with a tissue or cloth would do it, or you could use a damp cloth and a smidge of anti-bacterial soap to gently remove any gunk. You'll also want to be careful about getting any mess out which may get stuck in the small seam around the middle of the bullets. As far as lubes go, you can really take your pick, as none will react badly with the hard plastic and there are no specifications listed on the packaging.
