Don't Be Tempted

Don't be tempted by this toy. If there had been a way to separate the vibrating from the rotating, this toy could have slightly redeemed itself. But as this was not the case, this toy is a total loss for me. It is going into the bottom of my toy box, and I don't see it coming out any time in the foreseeable future.

Use

The text on the box claims that this vibe is "elegant, sophisticated and powerful". In my experience, this could not be further from the truth. I found this vibe to be disappointing and even, at times, uncomfortable. The head of vibe rotates in addition to vibrating which, frankly, I found uncomfortable.

I first tried using it for clitoral stimulation, which I quickly found out was not going to work. I am unshaven, and as the head was turning, it caught my pubic hair several times. I don't think I need to express that this was a painful experience. Any arousal I may have had from the vibrations were instantly killed.

The website claims that this toy is insertable as well, but when I tried to insert it, I found the rotation was, again, uncomfortable and distracting and I immediately removed it.

I suppose it could also be used for nipple play, but be aware of the fact that the head does have a slightly rubbery texture, and may therefore "drag" on skin.

It is small enough to be discreetly tucked inside a backpack, purse, or overnight bag, but is a little louder than I would like in a toy I travel with. So, while its size is conducive to traveling, save this toy for a place you know has nice, thick walls and doors.

Material / Texture

This toy is made of two different materials - the handle is made of plastic (non-porous, phthalate-free, latex-free, hypo-allergenic), while the rotating head is made of TPR (somewhat porous, phthalate-free, latex-free, hypo-allergenic). These materials rate an 8 and 7 on the safety scale respectively. The plastic is hard and smooth, while the head has a softer, more rubbery texture. The TPR on the head is also slightly ribbed which, personally, added little to nothing to the sensation.

There was a slight plastic smell to the toy, but nothing too overpowering or unpleasant.

Design / Shape / Size

From a purely aesthetic standpoint, this vibe is pretty and a good size.

The hot pink head contrast beautifully with the black handle, and the silver ring around the middle gives it a little extra touch of class. There are also hot pink scrolled designs on the handle which, again, are nice visual touches and give this vibe a sense of elegance.

divine temptation length

It is about 6 inches long, with the website claiming that three inches of that is insertable. However, as stated above, I found it so uncomfortable and distracting that I barely got it inside of me before taking it out.

There is one button for powering the vibe on, off, and for changing the direction of the rotation that is located on the bottom of the toy. It is the same hot pink color and rubbery texture as the head and scrolled designs. It is small and unobtrusive, but raised out enough from the end of the toy that it was easy to locate by touch alone.

At its widest, the handle is a little over 4 inches around, which allowed it to fit comfortably in my hand.

The head is a little under an inch wide (at its widest) and a little over three inches around. This tapers down a bit. Just below where the head of the toy meets the body, there is a bulge that is a bit over 1 inch in diameter and 3.5 inches in circumference. Immediately under the bulge, it measures approximately 3 inches in circumference, and then gradually tapers out to the 4 inches stated above.

Functions / Performance / Controls

As has already been stated, I was quite disappointed with this vibe.

This toy is NOT waterproof and runs on two AAA batteries.

The controls consist of a single button at the base of the toy. One click turns the toy on. The first "pattern" is the head vibrating while rotating clockwise. A second click changes the direction of the rotation to counter-clockwise. The strength of the vibration does not vary when switching between a clockwise and counter-clockwise rotation. A third click turns the toy off. The vibrations were quite "buzzy" and able to be felt down the entire length of the toy. The vibrations were not very strong, and didn't really stimulate me. It is a little noisier than I care for - it can definitely be heard from under covers and probably through a closed door.
    • Easy to use
    • Not enough variety
    • Not very discreet

Care and Maintenance

Even though I do not recommend inserting this toy, TPR is compatible with silicone and water-based lube, as is plastic. While plastic is also compatible with oil-based lube, the TPR is not, so avoid it.

Care for this toy is simple in theory. Because the head is made of TPR, the best way to care for the toy is to simply wipe the toy down with a toy wipe or some mild soap and water and allow to dry. This toy is not waterproof, so take care when washing.

However, in practice, I found this toy was pretty hard to clean, as it is quite difficult to reach where the rotating head met the body. After I had "cleaned it", I was inspecting it to make sure I had gotten everything when I noticed fluids and skin cells in the small gap between the head and the body. Try as I might, I just could not get in there to make sure it was properly cleaned. Due to this difficulty, that gap has the potential to be a breeding ground for bacteria.

Packaging

The packaging was quite nice, though not discreet. There is a picture of the toy on the front.

The box is approximately 3 inches wide by 8 inches tall, and has a small "door" on the front that opens up to reveal the toy. This door is held shut by what I would assume is a small magnet, as it does not flap freely, and when you close the "door", it will snap shut by itself when close to the box.

The toy itself is encased in a plastic shell that can be easily removed by opening the top flap.

All packaging can be preserved for storage, and is more than suitable for gift giving. If you choose not to preserve it, all materials should be recyclable.

While there were instructions enclosed, they were generic, and not all that helpful in actually knowing how to operate the toy. They were generic - probably the same sent out with all toys. They showed how to remove the base and insert button batteries. Only, this toy is not opened at the base and does not accept button batteries. I had to look at the toy to figure out how to open it, and what batteries to insert.

Eesh! Thanks. I tend to avoid rubbery rotators because it does drag on my skin.

Oh yikes! The tip actually does look a bit painful/uncomfortable. Thanks so much for sharing photos. This was a wonderful review! I am really sorry it didn't work well for you. Guess you really can't beat the Smart Wand or Hitachi! I've bought my mom a SmartWand, but never gotten myself one yet. I think I will though since these other little wands don't seem to have anything on the higher end ones. Perhaps they really are worth it!
