Discreet Compact Vibe - Not so Kinky

While the name of this toy is Inky Kinky, I found no kink factor. This is a traditional vibrator that really brings nothing special to the table. It is a nice addition to a small collection, or a first toy, but for intermediate or advanced users, I would say look elsewhere. If you've been a silicone toy user, I would advise staying away from this product, you'll be disappointed in the plastic material (I know I was).

Use

The Inky Kinky discreet traditional vibrator can be used for vaginal insertion, clitoral stimulation, as well as other erogenous zones on the body. This is definitely a beginner's vibrator: easy to use, clean, and hide. However, more experienced toy users can certainly find enjoyment with the Inky Kinky.

This vibe can be used for solo enjoyment, or with a partner for intimate and sensual fun. The vibrator is on the quiet side, it can't be heard through a closed door.
So, if you are new to the toy world, I suggest trying the Inky Kinky on for size. If you're not new, but you're looking for a traditional styled vibrator that is discreet and simple, Inky Kinky may be for you.

Material / Texture

Inky Kinky is made of smooth hard plastic. The plastic material is hypo-allergenic, latex free, non-porous, and of course phthalates free.

The toy is scent free and tasteless. The smooth texture is great for beginners or just for those who aren't a fan of crazy bumps and ridges. As per the traditional vibe design, this is sleek, smooth, and straight. The toy is not bendy at all, which provides a rigid and sturdy feeling while using the toy.

Design / Shape / Size

The Inky Kinky vibrator has a classic traditional shape and size, with an interesting design. The purple on purple swirly design is very attractive, it is what drew me to the product. Sometimes you just want something pretty. This toy didn't quite deliver, but I think that has to do with me not liking the traditional vibrator style, and less with this toy in particular.
The size of the toy is perfect for beginners, measuring just 5 1/2" in length with about 3 3/4" insertable. The girth of this toy is just over an inch. I found it to be on the smaller size range for me personally. The Inky Kinky prides itself on discretion, and while that is not a selling point for me, I know it is important to many toy users out there. The toy is small and easily hidden, and in my opinion it would be great for traveling.

The toy, to me, looks like a vibrator. So, if you really need discretion and want to be able to leave this toy out in the open, perhaps you should look elsewhere. However, I think the Inky Kinky is a great option for many.

Functions / Performance / Controls

I was not super impressed by the performance of this toy, however I think this is more to do with my expectations and less with the toy. (I'm a Hitachi gal, it's hard to compare toys when you have the Hitachi) Inky Kinky is easy to navigate, the control is located at the bottom of the toy. To power on, simply push the button once and you will feel the lowest setting.

There are three settings total, increasing in intensity with each press. The highest setting didn't really do it for me, but I also found that the toy's smaller size and girth made the experience less pleasurable. So, again, I suggest this toy to beginners, if at all.

I think this vibe is on the quieter side, especially compared to my Hitachi Magic Wand. This toy is not a battery drainer, which is always a plus. The lack of variety in vibrations can get a bit boring, but that's personal preference.

Overall the vibrations carried well across the toy, but it was not enough for me. The vibrations were on the buzzy side and I wasn't really able to feel them with insertion use. However, using the Inky Kinky as a clitoral simulator seemed to work well.
    • Discreet sound
    • Easy to use
    • Not enough variety

Care and Maintenance

Inky Kinky is a really user-friendly toy because it is easy to care for. Simply clean by running the toy under hot water and using a mild scentless antibacterial soap. (Be careful because the toy is not waterproof, do not submerge or boil!) You can also use EdenFantasys' toy cleanser wipes for before and after each use.

Water, oil, or silicone based lubes can be used safely with this toy since it is made of plastic. I suggest silicone or water based lubes because I have personally used them in conjunction with this toy.

I store this in my toy chest in a velvet toy bag. You can use the original packaging to store it, works just as well.

Packaging

Above are some images that shows off the toy's packaging. The instructions were standard issue. I really liked the box it came in, it was cute and had great information on it. I would say this could definitely be used as gift or storage, if preferred. I was surprised by the packaging, actually. Most toys come in really ugly packaging, especially items that are not the top tier.
I would say that the packaging is not discreet, so if that is necessary for you this may not be the right choice of toy.
    • Not discreet
    • Very informative
    • Would make a nice gift

Personal comments

I wasn't too impressed by the Inky Kinky, but for the price it could be worth the try.
Follow-up commentary
Inky Kinky could be nice as a starter into the world of sex toys. I'm still not a fan of the product, but it is pretty!
I would not recommend purchasing this vibrator.
