G-spot rabbit vibrator discontinued

Did my orchid wilt?

The Orchid by NS Novelties is a soft silicone g-spot and clitoris vibrator that is great for beginners and those who prefer weaker vibrations. The Orchid was a miss for me, with too much flexibility and not enough power, unfortunately.

Use

The Orchid by NS Novelties is a clitoral and g-spot vibrator. It is a super-soft and extremely flexible silicone. The Orchid would be great for beginners into g-spot stimulation, those who don't need strong clitoral vibrations and anyone who prefers gentle g-spot stimulation. If you prefer strong, rigid g-spot stimulation, this toy will not satisfy. It also won't be satisfying for power queens.

Material / Texture

The Orchid is made of non-porous, body-safe, silky-smooth silicone. There is no taste or smell to it at all. The Orchid is smooth and has no texture. There is a seam down the middle of the Orchid; however, it is a smooth well-blended seam and I cannot imagine it causing anyone any discomfort. The head of the toy is bulbous for g-spot stimulation. The clitoral end is curved to nestle against the clit.

I was very surprised by the material. I was expecting the Orchid to have a more rigid body to it, however, it is completely flexible.

Design / Shape / Size

The Orchid is designed so that the curved end rests against your clit, while the bulbous end is inserted against your g-spot. I thought this would be a great design and it might have been for me, if it had been rigid. The flexibility did nothing for me. I didn't get any g-spot stimulation. There is a three-speed bullet in the handle area, closest to the clit end. It is of moderate strength. I would have preferred a stronger bullet. The main issue with the vibrations is that due to the soft, flexible silicone, the vibrations don't travel down the handle toward the g-spot end.

The overall size of the Orchid is good. It is just under five inches in circumference and four inches in length. It's hard to determine size on a toy this shape, so I took some pictures for better clarification.

While it is unique shape and doesn't look like a typical vibrator, I would not describe the Orchid as discreet. If someone saw it, and they would ask what it was, I honestly can't think of what you could pass it off as!

You could travel with this, as it is light and flexible. However, there is no lockout button so you may want to remove the batteries, which are watch-battery size, to avoid it accidentally turning on.

I really think this toy would be best for beginners and sensitive users. The vibrations are weak and the material too flexible for strong g-spot stimulation.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Orchid is powered by a simple bullet that sits inside the handle.

The bullet has a push button on the bottom that you use to turn it on, cycle through the three speeds, and then hold to turn off. The vibrations are strongest in the clit end and barely noticeable in the g-spot end. Even so, the vibrations in the clit end are weak. If you are handy you may be able to switch out the bullet for a stronger one, but I am not inclined to alter my toys, so I am only guessing here.

The Orchid is relatively quiet and would not be heard through a closed door, but could be heard under the covers. This would make it okay for a roommate situation, if you had your own room.

Care and Maintenance

The Orchid is made of silicone. This is a safe material and is easy to care for, however, make sure you do not use silicone lubricants or store this where it can touch other silicone toys, as it will ruin them. To clean, simply wash with warm water and an anti-bacterial soap or use your favorite toy cleaner or Eden wipes. I made a pouch for my Orchid and it is stored with my other pouches and toys in my nightstand drawer. Due to its overall size and flexibility, the Orchid does not need a large space and can easily fit in a drawer or under clothes on a closet shelf if needed.

Packaging

The Orchid by NS Novelties arrived in a simple white box with pink and black writing on it. There is a see through window that shows the orchid. No instructions are on or in the box for use. It does say to use lubrication however.

Once you open the box you find the Orchid nestled in plastic, which could be used to store it in long-term, if you so choose.
Nestled in plastic case

The Orchid is silicone, so you will want to store it in some case or pouch to keep it safe and away from other silicone toys. Also, it does collect lint a little bit, but not as much as other toys.

The box does not have nudity on it, but it isn't discreet either. It clearly states that it is a vibrating massager. On the side of the box it lists care instructions.

Personal comments

I was disappointed in this toy overall. The weaker clit vibrations and non-existent g-spot vibrations, along with the flexibility of the material, just did nothing for me. I was able to get worked-up, but that's all. I really wanted to like this, because the combination of clit and g-spot stimulation is a winner for me. Unfortunately, the Orchid left me frustrated and annoyed.
Follow-up commentary
Unfortunately, I still don't like The Orchid. It's not powerful or rigid enough for me to get anything but mildly aroused. Bummer!

On a good note, it is not a battery drainer and cleans up super easy.

HEY, I thought I voted extremely useful, what the heck happened? I'm so sorry about that shorejen9 and thanks for the review!

The reason it didn't work for you is the very thing I'm looking for, flexibility. However, I'm not too happy about the weak vibe and would like to replace it with something like my Salsa.

Great review! I was bummed that I wasn't able to snag this for review, but maybe that was a blessing. While I like flexibility, this may be TOO soft for me!

Thanks for the excellent review. This doesn't sound like the right toy for me. I'm removing this from my wish list.

Thanks for the review! The bullet isn't easily removed from the toy? That seems uncommon for a toy like this. If it could be removed easily and replaced I would LOVE a toy like this, even with it being so flexible.

Thanks everyone! @PropertyofPotter yes it can be removed! I was fooling around with it and getting some measurements for Wicked Wahine and it slips right out! First toy with a bullet so I didn't realize!
