Delightfully Evolved Traditional Vibrator
This traditional vibrator appears to be well built and has a luscious, velvety texture with a firm, heavy, plastic body that transmits vibrations very well. It has three basic settings controlled with a single button, ranging from a teasing hum to vividly intense.

Pros
Quality construction, multi-speed, waterproof, and well priced.
Cons
Loud. Button control on the end can be easy to hit when thrusting.
One of the most unique things about an Evolved product is the packaging. This particular vibrator comes in a cool silver metal box. Being a nerd about such things, Evolved has already scored major points before I've even opened the box!

With the box open and the vibrator in my hand, I noticed it has a unique textured surface and feels heavier than it looks like it should. It's a traditional vibrator with three settings, and it’s made of non-porous, phthalates and latex-free plastic with no noticeable smell.
It's 7 inches long, with 5 3/4 inches being insertable, and a good healthy 1.5 inches in diameter. Because it's dishwasherphobic (yes, that's totally a word, it means you can't sterilize it), clean it with antibacterial soap and hot water, or isopropyl alcohol, and use a condom if you plan to share it. If you need lube, you can choose your favorite because it's safe with water, oil, or silicone.
Opening it up to install the two AAA batteries, I cannot help but notice the quality materials used in this toy compared to others I've owned in this price range. When I screw the end cap back on, I notice the nice o-ring that seals it up and makes it ready for bath-time fun. It is a simple phallic shape tapered slightly at the end, with length-wise ridges that extend toward the base, as it widens to it's full 1.5 inch thickness.

Overall, I am impressed with the quality of this toy. The push-button control is easy to use and provides three very wide-ranged intensity settings that should appeal to a wide variety of people. The lightest setting is enough to tease and nicely quiet; the medium setting is a solid buzz, but still plenty quiet; the highest setting on the other hand, is very intense and super loud.
Recently, the folks from Evolved were interviewed here on edenfantasys.com and did talk about the fact that the slightest internal variation can have a big effect on the volume of a toy. So it's possible this toy is, on average, quieter than the one I received; but if privacy is a priority, keep in mind this toy has a capacity for loudness.
I think this toy works well for both clit stimulation and insertion, although its straight and very firm design could make it awkward for those looking to stimulate their g-spot.
Given the shape of this toy, with no grippable base, it's probably not safe for anal insertion. Unless you happen to be into the whole concept of visiting the ER and asking the doctor on call to remove the vibrator you've lost in your ass.

Experience
The texture of this toy was fascinating to me. On the one hand the coating was smooth and velvety, invoking the feeling that this item would be soft with some give. But there is no give; it's a hard, plastic toy underneath this coating. In that regard, it's reminiscent of the real thing, soft and velvety skin with the rock-hard center.
And like the real thing: it has a skin-on-skin drag to it that feels divine against my clit and labia, but requires plenty of moisture or lube for insertion and thrust. When thrusting I didn't really notice the lengthwise ridges unless I rotated the shaft, which was a bit awkward for me. But feeling the ridges wasn't at all necessary for my enjoyment and I found the shape, thickness and texture, very satisfying.
My preferences tend to lean towards a thuddy vibe, rather than a more tickling or teasing sensation. This made the second highest intensity level my preferred level. I tried using it on the highest setting for a bit, and it was more numbing than pleasurable. I did use the high setting at the very end when I was a little desensitized, to push me over the edge and it certainly did the job. I expect this lushly textured, solid vibe will become a favorite.

Follow-up commentary
3 months after original review
I don't know that I really strongly dislike the Delight, but the initial excitement for this toy has definitely worn off. One of the biggest turn offs for me has been the noise level. I have other toys that provide plenty of Vroom with a lot less Bee, and those tend to be what I reach for instead of the Delight.
Another dislike is the serious loss of power after a short time. I use rechargeable batteries with this toy, but even with fresh ones, they don't last long before the buzz just dies down to a useless hum. I get one, maybe two uses before I have to recharge the batteries. This amounts to somewhere around 30 to 45 minutes of battery life, which kinda sucks.
And so, the Delight has moved slowly but surely to the back of the drawer.
