Delightful If You Are Tight

When I first saw this I was hesitant to buy it, and upon receiving it I hated it. After a few months of not using any toys or having sex, I found I was tighter and it was actually tolerable. I still would not recommend it to anyone who is spending money on it, but for a free toy it was worth what I paid.

Use

The Slim Smooth Delight partially lives up to the name. It is slim and smooth, but I would not say that this was a delight. Quite the opposite really. It was one of the most frustrating toys I have ever owned. I used it a few times and got nothing out of it. After putting it away for some time I gave it another try, this time with a few months of no penetration, and found it to, at least, hit the right spot. The noise levels were too much and made it unusable for me. I am prone to migraines, and this would trigger headaches for me from the amount of noise and the rattling on higher settings.

My second run using it showed me that this is usable only by those who are tighter to start with. Other than that, I would only recommend using this for external stimulation, or as a paperweight. The shape of it does NOT allow it to be used for anal play, except for the first bulb only. As a result you would only have about 1" of stimulation, so it is not worth the effort to try it.

Material / Texture

It is made of hard plastic that has a side seam where the mold did not fit together properly. The plastic is hard and rigid, with no give or softness to it. It is phthalates-free and hypoallergenic, as well as nonporous. Aside from the seam and the contour of the design, it is smooth with no texture to speak of.

The head has two bulbous sections on it. The outer bulb is shaped like an ace, followed by a narrower shaft. The second bulb comes just behind this narrower shaft and is attached to the regular shaft.

Design / Shape / Size

The design is not that out of the ordinary. The head of it has two bulbous sections on it that are connected by a narrower shaft. The outer bulb is shaped like an ace, and is about 1" long and about 4/5" in diameter, followed by the narrower shaft, which is about 1" long and 3/4" in diameter. The second bulb, coming in at 1 1/4" long and just over 1" in diameter, sits just behind this narrower shaft and is attached to the regular shaft. The regular shaft is 1" in diameter and 2 1/2" long. Overall, it is about 7" long with 5 1/2" being insertable, and the remainder is the cap.

To me this looks like a more bulbous version of the traditional straight vibrator. The size and length are good for those who are really tight and shallow, or have never used anything vaginally before. Most penises are larger than this toy; therefore, unless you have very resilient muscles that tighten back up after sex (yes, this does happen with some), you probably will not enjoy this toy if you have ever had sex.

Being of a traditional style, it will be obvious to anyone who sees it, what it is. I would also not recommend it for travel due to the amount of noise it makes.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The vibrations range from buzzy to a nice rumbly vibe. This is due, in part, to the way that the motor is set in it and performs. The majority of the vibrations are located in the end, and can carry through the toy based on the setting you pick. The lower the setting, the more rumbly they are, and the less they travel. The higher the setting, the more buzzy they are, and the further they carry.

The controls are easy to use. There is a simple push button on the bottom that you use to turn it on, cycle through the patterns, and turn it off. Simply push the button once to turn it on to the lowest of settings.

The lowest setting is quite LOUD and also is not very gentle. It is a simple, steady vibration. You can feel that the motor is not performing at a high quality but somehow, I think due to the the toy's size, it makes up for that. I would say that this setting is the best one for a beginner as it is of a medium strength, but still low enough to not be overwhelming.

The medium setting is next. It is a little bit louder than the first one, and also only a little bit stronger. I would call this a medium-high setting. It is still good for beginners, but may be strong for those who are more sensitive.

The high setting is just that: high. This gets even louder and also can sound slightly rattly. This is where the vibrations change from rumbly to buzzy. They also carry through most of the toy at this point, where before they were primarily in the head area.

The next setting goes into the patterns. This is one of the quietest settings and also one of the most frustrating. It starts out at the medium setting and slowly get weaker until it stops completely. There is a short pause, which lasts about two seconds, before the motor starts again, under much protest. You can actually feel that there isn't enough momentum to carry the weight of the motor all the way around to start with. It slowly builds up again before it repeats the descent into nothingness.

Next is a high-level fast pulse. This is one of the loudest settings I have ever heard on a vibrator. It actually rattles the plastic to the point that it has made me wonder if it was about to break.

The last of the patterns is another high-strength fast pulse, but this time it has a grouping pattern to it. Again it is loud and rattles the plastic, and can be quite noisy.

One more push and you are back to the strong steady vibration, before the final push to turn it off.

In total you have 6 settings, with the strongest steady setting repeating, and a total of 8 pushes to cycle from turning on to turning off.

I never tested the waterproof factor, because even under a blanket with music on I found it to be so loud, I had no desire to alert all of my roommates that I was using a sex toy in the shower.

Care and Maintenance

Being made out of plastic, this is a simple toy to care for; just wash it with soap and water, or use any of your free toy wipes with it. You can also use any cleaner spray on it as they are all safe for plastic. Lubes are the same way--you can use anything you want with it. There is no worry about compatibility issues with plastic and any lubes or other toy materials. You can store it anywhere you would like to. I always try to take the batteries out of my toys so that they don't drain them when not in use, and so that, should the batteries leak for any reason, they do not damage the toys.

Personal comments

I only used mine a couple of times during the year that I owned it. After the second time using it, I decided that is makes a better clitoral simulator than anything else. The batteries got taken out and it went into the back of my toy drawer. At one point I had gone a few months without anything in the way of penetration so I figured I would give it a shot again. I found that I had tightened up and it was actually usable. The noise levels were enough to give me a headache, though, so back in the drawer it went. When I went to pull it out recently to give it another go, I got one use out of it, and the next time I went to turn it on for external use it was dead. I do not know if this was from a lack of use or due to the low quality of the toy itself. It was dead in a year, with under 10 uses.
Follow-up commentary
It ended up in my trash can. After a few uses it died and would have been an absolute waste of money had I payed for it.
