Decent toy, but avoid "jelly" at all costs!!!
Overall, this would be a magnificent product if it weren't for the poor materials. It has strong vibrations, excellent g-spot massaging, and is even waterproof to boot so it can be (and most certainly has been) used in a shower.
That being said, the jelly material contains phthalates that are very harmful to your body and should be avoided. PLEASE do so for the sake of your own vaginal health!

Pros
vibrations are strong. rotation is great for g-spot
Cons
contains phthalates! those are bad!
Upon finding out that I would be gone for about 2 months for work, my wife thought it was high time to buy her first sex toy. After hearing rave reviews from her best friend about rabbit style vibrators, she purchased this lovely Cal Exotics model in purple. She did love the toy, but note the past tense. She loved the rotating head that hit her g-spot and the beads that rotate inside the vaginal opening. She also greatly enjoyed the vibrating rabbit head. Whenever she used this toy, she always got off at least twice. One last thing of note is that if the user is especially tight, that is to say, they have rather strong PC muscles, they may have a little trouble with the rotating beads and rotating head that hits the g-spot. When my wife used this item, if the rotation switch was not turned all the way up, or if the 4 AA batteries aren't 100% new out of the box, when she got especially close and tensed up, her PC muscles actually gripped the vibrator so hard that the rotation stopped. I know this might not be an issue for everyone, but I just thought I'd throw it in there. Again, note all the past tense. Which brings me to my next point, and the 1-star part of the review.
This toy is made primarily of 'jelly' which is a substance that contains phthalates. Why is this important? Phthalates are a possible human carcinogen in the US, and prolonged exposure can lead to all kinds of bad things with your body, let alone the VERY sensitive skin around a woman's nether-parts. Just a quick internet search yielded this as well as this.
During use the toy is fine, but after even 10-15 minutes masturbating, she would feel burning and irritation in and around her vagina. We didn't think anything of it until hearing an article on phthalates, and the danger thereof on the "Savage Love" podcast (if you're in this site and you don't listen to it, you should!). Since then we have stopped using the toy which is too bad because she really liked it!

Thank you for viewing Waterproof jack rabbit vibrator review page!
However, I happen to own this exact vibrator. I got it from a sexuality trial. The packaging (I received it Jun 2013 but who knows how old it may be) actually does not say phthalate-free. Of course, packaging can say phthalate-free and it can be a lie, because there is no US government regulations on that. That being said, this particular item does stink badly, but stink is not 100% indicative of phthalates.
As for "why do they keep using jelly?" Because it's CHEAP. It's the "standard" for companies like CalEx and Pipedreams and so on. People want an affordable vibrator, and most of the population is not at all aware of the dangers that lie in all of the chemicals used to make these cheap materials (it goes beyond phthalates), much less the dangers in such a porous material.
