Dear Tango, I Thought We Were Meant to Be...

The Tango is a beautifully made vibrator. I wanted to like her so much, but we just didn’t work out. The combination of her flaws left me really frustrated during use. Her sharp edges, lack of power, lack of dual motors, and an odd button placement left me annoyed. She is waterproof, silicone, and very easy to clean. If you like moderately powered toys that are average in size, she might be right for you. Be careful of those sharp edges when thrusting!

Use

Fun Factory’s Tango III is a beautiful dual stimulator vibrator. I was really hoping I’d fall in love with the Tango. I love rabbit style vibrators, and I always tend to like Fun Factory toys. She has an intriguing design and is made of high quality materials. Tango is designed to stimulate both the G-spot and clitoris simultaneously. However, Tango didn't work out for me.
I would only recommend this toy to more advanced users because of the sharper edges. This toy is great if you want to try a dual stimulator that isn’t a rabbit. However, Tango left me frustrated because of her lack of power and sharp edges.

Material / Texture

I love Fun Factory’s silicone! Silicone is one of my favorite materials to use. It’s smooth, comfortable, safe, and really easy to care for. Silicone is hypo-allergenic and non-porous. It rates a 10 out of 10 on Eden’s safety scale. It’s one of the best materials you can use.
Fun Factory’s silicone is exceptionally made. It’s soft and smooth yet flexible. I found no noticeable seams. The Tango has some drag to it, but with a little bit of lubricant it is not noticeable. The flexibility of the Tango makes her easier to play with. You can easily bend the shaft and clitoral attachment. Here are photos to demonstrate:

The Tango had no noticeable odor when I got her. Tango is mostly smooth with distinct edges along the toy. For this reason, I still recommend the Tango for advanced users. The only negative thing about Tango’s silicone is that it attracts hair and lint like crazy! I always have to wipe her down before playtime.

Design / Shape / Size

Tango’s design is what drew me to the toy in the first place. Tango was my first dual stimulator without an animal for the clitoral attachment. I was really excited to try her out! She’s very pretty in each color: red, white and blue. I had trouble picking which color, but I ultimately choose the white version.

The body of the Tango is very smooth with distinct edges. The edges do look painful. You can definitely feel the edges when you insert the toy, but it’s not REALLY noticeable until you thrust the toy. If you just use the toy to rock, you won’t notice the edges as much. However, I prefer to thrust my toys. Tango’s sharp edges didn’t make thrusting very enjoyable. They tend to poke me. I noticed the edges on the side more than the top. I do like texture in shafts, but Tango's edges are too sharp for my liking.
The clitoral attachment does have some edges to it as well, but it is a little more curved than the shaft. It can be a little uncomfortable, but it is not as bad as the shaft. The clitoral attachment is located further away from the toy making it much easier to fit more anatomies. You can easily bend it to reach your clitoris. However, it is fairly small measuring just two inches in length. I prefer clitoral attachments that are longer.

The Tango is average in size with a diameter of 1 ½” and an insertable length of 5”. The size is suitable for most individuals. Tango is fairly easy to hide. I store mine in a box under my bed. However, I would go for a smaller clitoral stimulator to travel with. The Tango isn't really discreet. If someone where to look at it, they would probably know it's a vibrator.

Functions / Performance / Controls

My main dissatisfaction with the Tango is that she only has one motor located near the top of the shaft. I really prefer a dual motor toy because I tend to need more power to reach orgasm. Most of the vibrations are found in the shaft. The clitoral attachment does carry some of the vibrations, but they weren’t powerful enough for me. I tried to make Tango work for me by rocking, but I was having no fun. I ended up putting the top of the shaft on my clitoris to orgasm. As I mentioned, the clitoral attachment is very bendable, so you can bend and thrust it towards your clitoris. If you like rocking your toys, this may work for you.
Tango’s buttons are located on the handle. The buttons tend to be annoying during use because they are placed on the curve of the handle. I found myself repeatedly having to look down to remind myself which button was which.

The buttons can be hard to press at times. I had to use my nails sometimes to start the toy. There are three buttons: a plus sign, a minus sign, and a star. To start the Tango, hold down the plus sign. To turn it off, you have to press the minus sign repeatedly. The plus sign increases the vibrations, and the minus sign decreases it.
Pressing the star button gives you the highest level of vibration. I’m not a fan of the star button, and its function seems useless. I was first under the impression that, if you simply pressed the button once, it would automatically stay on the highest setting. However, when I was playing around with the Tango, I found out that you have to hold the button down constantly for it to work. This is not really smart because it’s almost impossible to hold the button down during use. It’s easier just to press the plus sign all the way to your highest desired setting.
The power of the Tango is moderate in my opinion. I think most individuals would find it satisfactory, but I need more power in my toys. The Tango tends to sound and feel very buzzy. It’s a fairly quiet toy like most of Fun Factory’s products. I would have no hesitation using this around roommates. When I first bought the Tango, I had my friend hold it and turn it on to the highest setting. I stepped a few feet away, and I could hardly hear it! I definitely suggest this vibrator if you need a quiet toy.
The Tango has 6 modes of increasing vibration. It’s a very quiet vibrator at it highest setting. It’s probably as loud as a cell phone vibrating. I gave it a vroom of 3 and a bee of 2. I found 3 pulsation modes: escalating pulses, longer pulses, and short fast pulses. Whether you like patterns or straight vibrations, the Tango has many options.
The battery compartment is located on the bottom handle and holds 4 AAA batteries. It can hold rechargeable batteries. I really like the compartment because it looks really cool. They did a nice job arranging the batteries. It lists multiple times which battery end goes where, so it's really easy to figure out.

I REALLY wish that the Tango was rechargeable. I love rechargeable vibrators and expensive toys should bb rechargeable. The Tango retails for $94.99. Most toys in this price range are rechargeable. However, I used Tango quite a few times, and it hasn’t eaten all of the batteries yet.
The Tango is waterproof, which is great! I love waterproof toys because I can easily clean it. The Tango's battery compartment closes really tightly, and I haven't noticed any water leakage.
    • Discreet sound
    • Lots of variety in function

Care and Maintenance

The Tango is really easy to care for especially since this toy is waterproof. I just wash mine in warm water and soap. For a faster clean, you can also use Eden’s wipes. You can also wash Tango in a 10% beach solution. Remember, even though silicone is able to be sterilized, you don’t want to boil this toy because it could ruin the motor. Make sure you don’t use silicone lubricants as it could ruin the toy. I stick to water based lubes. I store my Tango in a Ziploc plastic bag, so other toy materials won't eat away at it.

Packaging

Fun Factory always packages their toys really nicely in a high quality, see-through box that folds out with a magnet. It's not necessarily discreet because you can see the toy. You get a free sample of lubricant, a pamphlet on other products, and an informative pamphlet on how to use the product. There is definitely enough information to figure out how to use her. You could most definitely reuse the Tango's box. I normally recycle mine though. Otherwise, I'd show it to you.

Follow-up commentary
I love the look of the Tango, but the edges are uncomfortable for me. Plus, it's not super powerful. Sadly, it has been sitting in my toy box since I got it.

I'll have to keep the 'sharp' edges in mind when I consider this one. Thank you.

Thanks for sharing. I've noticed the edges seem to be a detractor for this toy.
