The Daydream is from the Platinum line of premium silicone toys from Doc Johnson. It is designed for g-spot stimulation, but can also be used to tease and excite any erogenous zone on the body. Its unique design allows it to meet the needs of many different users. The plastic bullet can be removed and used directly on the body (nipples, penis, testicles, etc.) and can even be used comfortably on the clitoris during penetrative sex. The silicone sleeve can also be used over any bullet you may currently own and enjoy.

Daydream is intended for external play anywhere, but only vaginal penetrative play. It is not recommended to insert Daydream anally, though it may be used externally in that area.

Daydream’s outer sleeve is made of silicone (with a safety rating of 10) with Doc Johnson’s patented Sil-A-Gel additive. Sil-A-Gel (which stands for “Safe Ingredients List”) is a compound made of ingredients that the FDA has labeled as safe. The sleeve is completely smooth and very shiny. It’s quite tacky and sticky feeling to the touch, and it has a lot of drag. It has a slight odor when held up to the nose and collects a lot of lint, stray hair and fuzz. The brand name Doc Johnson is embossed along the bottom of the toy. While not as squishy as a dual density silicone toy, this silicone is not entirely firm either. It does squish down some.

The bullet inside the sleeve is made of smooth ABS plastic (with a safety rating of 8) painted silver. It is totally non-porous and has no odor at all. Neither the sleeve nor the bullet has any taste to it.

The unique design of the Daydream will appeal to many users because it makes it very versatile.

*Silicone Sleeve

The silicone sleeve is 5.75” long with a 0.5” wide, 4.75” deep hole for the bullet to slide into. Any standard size bullet can slide into it. Some lube or some water should definitely be added to the tip of the bullet to aid getting the bullet in and out of the sleeve. Otherwise, getting any bullet out is nearly impossible. If the bullet does get stuck inside, simply stretch out the edge of the silicone sleeve and put a few drops of water, lube or saliva between the bullet and sleeve. It will slide right out.

The sleeve has a solid silicone bulged head that is 4.5” in circumference, or just under 1.5” in diameter. The bulged head is the widest part of the toy. The shaft tapers down significantly under the head to 3.5” in circumference, or just over 1” in diameter. It widens again at the base, and measures 5” in circumference or just over 1.5” in diameter.

Even though the silicone sleeve is flexible, it becomes rigid with the bullet inserted. The solid silicone head will still be somewhat squishy and a bit flexible though, even with the bullet inserted.


*Bullet
The bullet is 5” long and a uniform 2” in circumference, or about 0.6” or 5/8” in diameter. It houses a slide out plastic tray to put the two AAA batteries in. There is a paper inside the bullet to show proper battery placement, this paper can be left in or removed. If left in, it will prevent the battery pack from rattling around inside the bullet, but also makes it nearly impossible to remove the battery pack from the bullet. If removed, the bullet is just a tiny bit louder, but it’s much easier to remove the battery pack.

The bullet is controlled by a push button on its base. The button is easy to push. It’s completely waterproof as long as the cap is screwed on tightly. The vibrations are focused at the tip of the long bullet, but can be felt throughout its length. These vibrations are the typical buzzy type you’d expect from a run of the mill bullet.


It has three settings, as follows:

2 – medium steady vibrations – 2.5 vrooms, 2.5 bees – comparable to MiMi between levels 2 and 3

When the bullet is in the silicone sleeve, the vibrations are felt mostly in the bulged head. They transfer pretty well with only a slight loss of power (about 0.5 vrooms worth). The toy is also significantly quieter when the bullet is in the sleeve.

In this area, the Platinum Daydream really shines. Since the silicone sleeve is removable, it can be boiled, bleached or run through the dishwasher (top rack, no detergent) to sanitize it. The bullet can also be wiped with isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol to sanitize it. The toy should be used with a condom or thoroughly sanitized if sharing with someone you are not fluid bonded with. For normal cleaning, the bullet should be removed from the sleeve, and both pieces should be washed with warm water and soap or the toy cleaner of your choice.

The silicone sleeve of the Daydream is compatible with water- or oil-based lubricants. Silicone lubes are best avoided when using silicone toys, but if you have a silicone-based or hybrid lube you feel you must use, do a small spot test near the base to check for a reaction. This silicone feels quite sticky, and requires a fair amount of lubrication for comfortable use.

All lubricants are compatible with the plastic bullet, so if being used separately no care need be taken in that regard. Be sure to remove the batteries from the bullet during storage to prolong their life.


The original, clamshell packaging may be used for storage if space isn’t an issue. If space is an issue, the Daydream can be stored in a plastic bag, an old sock, wrapped in a handkerchief, or of course placed in a toy pouch. This toy should be stored out of direct sunlight and in a cool place. Daydream should not come into contact with other toys made of compounds like TPE, TPR, Jelly or PVC during storage; because material compounds such as these can breakdown over time and damage your silicone toys.

I definitely enjoyed the Daydream as a g-spotter. The vibrations are very, very mild though. While I could feel them externally, I really couldn’t feel them internally at all. I generally prefer toys with at least 4 vrooms though, so keep that in mind. This is definitely not a toy for power queens.

The Daydream was very easy for me to use. It doesn’t have a handle, but the silicone is so grabby that it is easy to hold onto for thrusting until it gets slippery. Once slippery, keeping a firm hold on the toy became rather difficult. I also found it difficult to remove the bullet from the sleeve after use, again because everything was slippery.

I also noticed that the Daydream does not have the tendency to spin or twist while in use. I have found some g-spot vibrators can easily get turned around without me even noticing when in use, but the Daydream does have that problem. It seemed to stay in place very well, even with vigorous thrusting.

I also appreciate the smooth design of this toy. The head is so smooth and nicely tapered; it never once threatened to get caught on my pubic bone. It really glides so easily and comfortably. Lube is definitely needed due to the drag of the silicone, but once applied the toy really slides. Being so smooth makes it work really well for thrusting. The Daydream doesn’t provide really intense g-spot stimulation, but rather more of a diffused, indirect stimulation; that makes thrusting it an excellent way to use it to get the most out of it.

I really only have two issues with this toy. I have noticed that some of the silver coating on the bullet is already starting to flake off, so I am not sure how long it will stay looking new. I would also personally prefer that Doc Johnson not add Sil-A-Gel to their silicone toys, since silicone is already completely non-porous and so easy to sanitize.
