What can I say about the Couture Collection Discretion?

I really wanted to like this vibrator. The design concept is good, but the execution fails in a lot of ways.

Let's start with the good. The shape of this toy is not only lovely but functional and offers a great deal of versatility in use. It is made to fit up against you inside your panties. It did fit against me well, and it felt pretty good from just about every angle I tried it. I actually liked rubbing the smaller flexible tip side against my clit best.

The material of the outer skin is silicone which is great for disinfecting purposes. I love the feel of the soft, flexible silicone against my skin, and there was no smell out of the package. The bullet inside is pretty standard plastic. The overall look of the toy is that of a flower bud. It’s lovely to look at and very feminine in both the pink and purple colors. Though, to be honest, I wouldn’t mind if it came in something that wasn’t pastel.

The bullet vibrator is removable from the silicone sleeve and is surprisingly powerful. It is also nice that it offers 7 different vibration functions which are all easily operated by the touch of a button on one end of the bullet. The bullet is waterproof and very quiet for the amount of power it offers. The toy also came with a battery which is always nice!

All in all, I had a great time with this toy for about the first ten minutes.

I admit I was too entranced by the design of this toy, and I honestly overlooked what kind of batteries it required. Normally, I stay away from anything that uses N size batteries. I find they are often not as powerful, harder to find (outside of EF), more expensive, not rechargable, and have a laughably short life. It was my own fault that I did not take note of the fact that this toy ran on N size batteries.

About ten minutes into enjoying this toy, it just died on me. Pressing the button again got me vibration so weak I wasn’t sure it was on at all. Given a little time to rest, it did come back to about half strength for a few minutes then made a steady decline from there. There is nothing sadder than being near orgasm and having your toy cut out on you! I decided it might just be that particular battery, so I popped a new one in and had pretty much the exact same result.

When the bullet it running on full power, it is delightfully strong and quiet. However, it quickly becomes too weak to do anything more than annoy me.

The next flaw is that the manufacturer suggests that you could wear this toy discreetly inside your panties in public without detection. You may be able to fit it in your panties without detection, but you had better make sure you’re only going to be in loud places if you plan to have it on. Woe be unto ye who needs to turn it off suddenly!

For a vibrator, it is fairly quiet. However, if you were in public in a fairly quiet room, it would be fairly obvious that something is buzzing. It would probably sound a bit like a cell phone on vibrate going off in a pocket or bag, but it would be going off constantly. I think you’d get some funny looks.

Since the entire operation is done with one single button on the end of the bullet, you would not be able to discreetly or even very quickly turn it off in public. I’m pretty sure that the average user would not like to have to reach into their pants and cycle through all functions in order to turn the toy off in public.

In any situation requiring discretion, you might want to consider another toy as this one cannot be shut off without cycling through the set of different vibration patterns.

There are definitely some things they got right: the shape of the sleeve, the powerful but quiet bullet, the waterproofing, and the 7 functions. Unfortunately, this the battery choice is a nuisance, and the battery life is criminally short.

I have yet to find the perfect bullet vibe for this, but I've done some experimenting, and I like it more as time goes on!
