The Minuet by Evolved Novelties is part of the Symphony Edition line of traditional 3 speed vibrators. It arrives packaged in a beautiful medium weight red metal box. The box has two little hinges that lock the metal lid onto the box keeping your new friend safe and sound. The lid has a cut out in the unique shape of the Minuet allowing you to see the vibe nestled inside. Inside the box the vibe rests on two pieces of foam, the top piece of which is cut to cradle the toy and prevent it from being flung around the box possibly damaging the soft finish of the vibe. Very nice for storage if space is not an issue as this isn't a small box.

The vibe itself is made of TPR, which is rather porous and will require a condom if shared. The TPR is soft, very flexible, and clear enough to see the egg located in the tip of the vibe. The vibrations on this toy are not extremely vigorous so they won't cause your clitoris to run away in fear, though they will be easily felt and are intense enough to satisfy even the most stubborn clit. The lowest speed is fairly low pitched but not deep and rumbly. The middle speed is a bit higher pitched and a bit more on the surface. The highest speed is a little bit higher in pitch and VERY surface. It's great for people who like buzzy type vibes but those who like deeper vibrations will probably not be impressed. The vibrations while high pitched and buzzy are carried well throughout the toy's shaft right through to the base. It won't leave your hand numb but you will feel the vibrations easily at the opening of your vagina even if you clench around the toy. The Minuet is a quite toy that would probably be suitable for most households and dorm rooms provided you can discreetly store the box. This is a toy that looks like a vibrator so it's not going to go unnoticed if your luggage is searched, however, it IS in an elegant box which shows your good taste in toys.

This is a substantial vibe measuring 8 1/4 inches with 6 inches being insertable. With a circumference of 4 3/4 inches it is fairly medium sized and won't cause fear or pain to newer users or those who cannot handle more girthy vibes. The Minuet has a set of four ridges where the shaft dips gently and slightly inward creating an interesting texture that can be easily felt during gentle thrusting. This is a long vibe which could easily reach the cervix. The tip is rounded and pliable so unless you are wildly, or violently thrusting this toy it shouldn't cause bruising. The toy isn't curved to facilitate g spot play, but the end of the toy is rounded enough that I was able to stimulate the area quite easily. The toy is very flexible, however, so if you need firm pressure for g spot orgasm this might not fit the bill.

Much mention has been made about the truly unique and lovely boxes Evolved packages it's toys in but for me the most unique feature of this line of vibes is the battery casing! The end of the vibe is hard plastic and tapers to a point where the button to turn on the vibrations is located. The end screws off to reveal a removable little tray which the batteries snap into. It comes completely out of the toy and has easy to read instructions printed on it. No squinting and trying to read the tiny print here! The vibe takes two AA batteries which can be stored in the little tray, just remove it from the toy to prevent leakage. I really love this feature since I own more than one evolved vibe, we can switch vibes easily by just loading in the little tray which is perfect during an intense play session.

The toy is waterproof and I haven't noticed any seepage in the battery housing after using the toy in the shower or after washing it in the sink. To clean this baby simply use warm water and mild soap. Commercial toy cleaner or toy wipes are also good alternatives.
TPR works well with water or silicone based lubes.
This toy is not really intended for anal play as it doesn't have a flared base and the base tapers to a point. Add into that the fact that TPR can't be effectively cleaned and it just isn't worth the trouble unless you have some extra condoms laying around and are supremely careful.

I chose the blue Minuet and the color is very pretty, vibrant and it is cool to see the inner workings of the vibe through the TPR. I like this vibe for slow thrusting so that I can feel the 'pop' sensation at each ridge. I didn't feel any slow down of the vibrations or straining of the motor when I clenched my vaginal muscles around the shaft of the toy, always a plus.
It works well as a simple thrusting toy, clitoral stimulator and even an anal rim teaser. I don't like the fact that the toy comes to a tapering point so I haven't attempted to use it as an anal toy. The toy has a fresh clean smell right out of the package and it hasn't lost that initial smell through use.
The button at the end of the toy can be bumped during play, changing speeds at perhaps an awkward time. I also didn't like the fact that you have to scroll through the speeds to turn the toy off.
This vibe is very flexible and can almost bend to a 90 degree angle, though it won't hold that shape.

This toy was a bit on the slender side for me but it has found a great home with a playmate of ours who strokes it and washes it and calls it George! We haven't noticed any clouding of the material. The vibes are intense enough for her and feel amazing when Dp'ing according to Sigel. We all definitely recommend trying it out.
