Buzzy Compact Vibe
This is a beginner toy. If you are looking to try out a compact vibe with texture and this is on 70% off sale or offered as a free gift, give it a try. For full retail price, EF offers much better options. Cal Exotics toys generally are buzzy and this is not an exception. This is the lowest quality Cal Exotics toy I have owned. Overall, I was disappointed in this little vibe.

The Compact Vibe is 5" long and 1" across.
The Compact Vibe comes in a clear plastic clam shell case. The toy is visible in the front of the package as well as the words 5-function Compact Vibe. You can also see a grainy picture of a couple hugging in the background. I wouldn't say that the packaging is discreet.
It has a pointy tip. The top 1/3 is a velvet-cote plastic in light purple. There is a thin black ring and then a darker purple vertically ribbed mid section. A light purple ring, a thin black ring and a dark purple base. At the end of the base is a black button. Pushing the black button will cycle through the 5 settings. The first is a slow constant, then a medium constant, then a high constant. The last two settings are pulsing patterns. You must cycle through the patterns to turn it off.
If you use this internally, you may want to cover it with a condom. Fluid can easily be trapped in the ridges, making thorough cleaning difficult. For this reason, I would not suggest sharing it. Due to the motor, you cannot boil it. You can use toy cleaner or a 10% bleach solution to clean it.
The vibrations are medium intensity. When pressure is applied to the vibe, there is a noticeable reduction in intensity. This occurred no matter what function was used. It is a bit loud and could be heard under a comforter and through a closed door. A moderate level TV or Radio would cover the noise. At 5 inches, it is not very large and would be easy to travel with. It is obvious that it is a vibrator so you may not want to put it in your carry on bag.
The biggest disappointment came when I tried to insert the batteries. There is a plastic battery holder that must be removed and two AAA batteries inserted into it. I had to get a small nail to pry the cheap plastic holder out of the vibe. It then had to be pushed into place once the batteries were installed. I have to go through the same process each time, the batteries are removed. This was quite disappointing in a new toy. I have never had a quality issue with a Cal Exotics toy before. The plastic holder is very cheaply made. in addition, you must line up the metal strip in the holder with the metal piece on the vibe.

Experience
I was looking forward to this little vibe that came as as free gift. I like purple and texture so what could be better. The quality is what could be better. If you are considering purchasing this at full retail, I would suggest better options in this price range. The quality of the materials are just not up to the usual standards I have come to expect in Cal Exotics products. As far a free gifts go this was also a disappointment. It is nice of EF to offer little extras and they are usually fun and of good entry level quality. I cannot say it about this compact vibe.
