Bumpy, Lumpy, Curvy, Delicious
A cute bright yellow vibrator with exciting and imaginative textures. Its vibrations' strength is moderately rumbly and its patterns, although small in number, will please many. Its flattened ball shape, reminiscent of lemon ice piled into a cone, targets the G Spot with both the tip and finds the G Spot nearly by itself with the largest ball. For some, it may help them find their G Spot just by using the toy.
This toy is worth the price and will be a nice addition to many women’s toyboxes.

The Curvy Toyfriend is a bumpy textured six inch long insertable toy with a silky soft 100% silicone skin and body. Its interesting texture, which resembles six slightly smooshed balls stacked on top of each other is fun and enticing. It looks like balls of Lemon Ice stacked on top of a small ice cream cake cup.
As you move from the tip down, the balls increase in size, until ball 5, the largest ball, reaches almost 6 inches in circumference.
Ball 6 is then attached to a smaller base which contains the power button.
The toy is not a completely straight vibe. The shape bulges at Ball 5 then continues to curve so that one can also use the end of the toy, (or Ball 1 as another way to stimulate the G Spot. The bumpy texture makes thrusting a very fun and arousing experience.
The toy has "Tickler" in recessed letters on the body of the toy, but these cannot be felt in use.
The silicone of this toy is one of the smoothest and silkiest I have ever felt. It appears to have little drag, at first, and slides easily over the hand for a sensual experience. The silicone is nonporous, can be cleaned with warm water and soap, and stored carefully away from other silicone toys. (I wrap mine in a handkerchief and keep in my toy box.) It can also be cleaned with a 10% bleach solution or toy wash for sanitizing. Then please clean with soap and water afterward. The toy is also Phthalate free and water proof.
When inserting the normal drag associated with silicone is then present. A few drops of water based lube (the best choice in lube for this all silicone toy) causes the toy to become slippery and insertion is easy.
I found an interesting perk to this toy, as each ball enters, arousal increases, and then when ball 5 enters, it seems to “pop” into place and zero in on the G Spot like no other toy I have tried. Despite it not being quite long enough to reach my A Spot
the interesting shape and texture of the vibe and the nearly telepathic Ball 5, I enjoyed the experience immensely.
In order to help find the G Spot, insert the toy with the largest ball facing toward your clitoris (or your belly) lube the toy and gently insert. As the largest ball or Ball 5 penetrates past the PC muscle (the muscle which holds a tampon in) for many women, the toy will nearly “pop” into place, with the largest ball pressing strongly against the G Spot. This perk alone is worth the price of the toy.
I usually prefer longer toys than the Curvy’s 6 inches, but its other imaginative additions make it a great toy with a feel that few other toys have.
Curvy has absolutely no “give” to it. It is very rigid, which works well for G Spot work, either sweeping the toy across or thrusting against the G Spot or simply resting the heavy toy on the spot.
The bottom of the toy is a smaller cylinder which screws off to contain two AAA batteries.
There is also a button on the bottom of the toy which controls the patterns, on and off. One push of the easy push button starts the patterns:
1. High Vibration.
2. Then lower strength steady vibration
3. Then medium pulses
4. Faster pulses
5. Extremely fast pulses
One can then push the button again to go back to Pattern 1, or hold the button in to turn off the toy. The toy can be turned off, by holding the button at any time. You do not have to go through all the patterns to turn it off. The toy is not silent but cannot be heard through a wooden door. Using under the covers will also dull the medium sound.
As for strength, I wish we had a 10 level choice. Its strength is somewhere between a 3 and a 4 on Eden's chart, and the 5 level choice of speeds fails me here. If we had a 10 level choice, I’d give it a 7 in power at its highest speed. The vibrations are between medium to low register, not quite as low as a Fun Factory or, say, the Wahl, but still fairly low register and strong.
The toy also comes with a clear plastic base.

Experience
The toy could be placed into the base during use, to prevent rolling, or to prevent picking up lint or hair while in use. (Although the toy does not attract lint as most silicone toys do.) I did not find the base usable while the toy was being used in play. It doesn’t “click” into place and could easily fall out if used this way.
One drawback is the power button at the bottom of the toy. When my husband or I use a toy like this, we tend to insert it in by pushing on the bottom of the base. With the Curvy, doing this causes the toy to turn on or change speeds or patterns. It isn’t a huge problem, as you will learn quickly to use the small base to maneuver the toy, but it was a slight problem.
This toy is for vaginal or oral use only. It is not safe for anal play. The toy tapers to smaller than the main body of the toy after the largest ball, and it is too short to hang on to well, especially with lubed fingers.
The plastic base does not fit tightly enough to make use of this safe for anal play either. There are toys specifically made for anal play. Please use one of these toys for this purpose.
The Toyfriend comes in a colorful cardboard box, and then the toy and the base are packed into an easy open clamshell plastic container. A large plastic window displays the toy in the box. The box seems too large for this compact toy. There is a small paper showing all Toyfriend’s products.
All and all, the Curvy is a fun, girthy and unusually interesting toy.

Follow-up commentary
6 months after original review
Yes, I still like this lumpy, bumpy, odd looking Toyfriend.
The two best features of this toy are the rigidity, so that G Spot can be reached and stimulated, and "Ball 5" the largest ball, nearest to the base, which stimulates the G spot. Both these features make this toy a kind of "One Trick Pony" as I have found thrusting not all the much fun, except for finding the G Spot and "popping" the Ball 5 into the Spot, and movement of the toy while it has zeroed in on the G Spot amazing.
The most troublesome aspect of the toy is the easy-to-turn-off or on (or change vibration settings) bottom button as the power button on the bottom is easy to trigger during normal use. Once one keeps this in mind, staying away from the power button during use comes easily and the problem is averted. Although, during moments of passion it is still common to hit that button while attempting to maneuver the toy. Still, it is not a huge problem and the lovely sensations this toy provides for the G Spot is worth the slight trouble with the power button.
I didn't have a lot of problems with the power. I found the toy's vibrations rumbly and deep and as I often use my phallic vibrators (especially those for G Spot work) as dildos I don't always even turn on the power, I found the rumbly, moderate power fine. (My Man and I usually use the Wahl for vibration to find my orgasm no matter what toy we are using for penetration anyway.)
I personally don't like the "stand" and don't use it much. The toy doesn't snap into the stand, it holds the toy loosely, so attempting to use the stand during actual use is pretty much out of the question. But, those who like to put the toy on a flat surface while taking a break during use (to prevent it from rolling on a dresser or headboard or to prevent it from getting lost in the bed) may like to use the clear stand. Also, the stand can be used to hold the toy in anticipation of play. It does keep the toy off of any surface where it may collect detritus like hair and lint.
All in all, it's still a pretty fun toy, and as I said before, may even help some women find their G Spot. Some may want to try this silky skinned, funny looking toy just for that purpose alone. And I think many G Spot fans will still go as crazy over this toy as I have.
