***Bits-n-Pieces Still Intact!***

For those like me who wonder if their precious body parts were rubbed off with the Hitachi Wand, this Rechargeable Wand will ease your fears! Deep, penetrating, rumbly vibrations AND plenty of power keeps this competitive, but the versatile and numerous settings allow for a more personalized approach to your comfort. Much lighter and quieter also adds a lot to the desirability and ease of use, where others are just...too heavy to manage!!

Use

The Rechargeable Wand is very versatile and has many uses. It will work very well for most levels of experience due to its varied settings and the varied uses. Since it is lightweight and has a well shaped handle, those of us with hand disabilities are able to use it with ease and comfort for extended periods of time.

Some of the many uses for the wand are:
--Massaging sore, aching and knotted muscles.
--Erotic massage with a partner.
--Clitoral or external perinium massage.
--Foreplay on nipples, genitals and external anal areas.
--Cleaning rings and other jewelry. Lightly rub the outer area of the ring along the head while vibrating. Use a small amount of toothpaste and wipe gently when finished. Clean the head of the Wand thoroughly before storing it!!

Material / Texture

The body, or handle, of the Wand is made of sleek, smooth ABS Plastic. Plastic rates an 8 on the material safety scale due to its tendency to scratch and mar when abused. This allows bacteria to harbor in the grooves unless it is properly cleaned. There are also some mild concerns about the plastic materials leaching out a chemical called Bisphenol A, especially when heated. After much testing and research, the medical groups that performed the testing came to the conclusion that while it is possible, it is highly unlikely to affect people unless the plastic was heated up for prolonged periods of time.

The neck is flexible and has a soft, TPR sleeve that is permanently attached. The head is made of the same plastic as above, but comes with a soft, squishy, TPR sleeve that is removable and is very padded. There is a soft foam insert to add cushioning, enhance the fit and is an effective silencer for a majority of the noise from the vibrations.

The sleeve is textured and feels very cushy against your sensitive areas and skin. This does add to the sensations and allows for more pressure to be applied to the massaged area. These are very good materials for both beginner and advanced users. There is no smell or taste after the first washing. There is a slight 'new' smell when you receive the Wand.

Design / Shape / Size

Designed similarly to the Hitachi Wand, this Wand is much lighter, cordless/rechargeable, powerful and has around 15 vibration patterns. Much easier to use and also very easy to travel with, the improvements make this a strong competitor for the Hitachi.

The plug in is located on the bottom of the base. The cord is a USB, plugging in easily to any computer for charging. I did cheat and used my cell phone charger since it has the USB receptacle on its base and plugs into an outlet. This worked very well and does not harm the Wand.

The tapered base makes this very ergonomical and easy to control. I have very small hands and was able to hold onto this wand for an extended period of time. The push button control pad is conveniently located part way up the base and is easily accessed during use. You do feel the vibrations in the handle, but as long as your hand stays near the bottom, it is not too numbing.

This is a larger Wand, but it is very light and has a good balance. The head is flexible and allows for varying pressures while using the Wand. Be cautious not to bend it severely, but you are able to apply a very good amount of pressure before you notice any slight stutters from the motor. You can use the head bare or with the TPR cover.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Turn on the Wand by pressing once on the extruded button towards the base. You also press this button to turn it off. These are the only functions for this button and there is no memory function. TheWand starts over at the beginning when turned back on.

You access all 15 vibration patterns by pressing the extruded button towards the head of the Wand. Each press will cycle forward, but unfortunately, there is no back button. You must cycle through if you go too far when looking for a specific pattern.

The vibrations are located in the head of the Wand, but there is a noticeable amount in the top of the handle. They are very deep, penetrating and 'rumbly'. You can adjust the penetration with the speed, though, so it is very user friendly.

The noise level is much quieter than I expected. You can still hear this across the bedroom, but not through a closed door. It also depends on how you use it and what the head is against. If it is pressing into the mattress, you will get a 'feedback vibration, but with skin contact, that disappears. The noise is very close to a loud cell phone vibration--but a bit more penetrating. (Or if the phone is on a hard surface when it vibrates.)

Care and Maintenance

Wipe the handle area down with a disinfecting wipe or rubbing alcohol. Do not get any moisture under the controller strip or in the charging port. You can remove the TPR cover and wash it with anti-bacterial soap, rinse well and let dry. Do not get the foam wet unless you plan on making sure it is thoroughly dry prior to reassembling on the head.

--If the controller strip does start to come loose, there are a couple methods to fixing and caring for it that is safe for the material. Use rubber cement carefully, wiping off the excess immediately -or- buy a can of 3M Adhesive, vehicle emblem (also 3M!) adhesive and follow the previous instructions. Do not leave any excess adhesive on the handle! You can remove it safely with non-acetone fingernail polish remover. (I am a professional sign retailer and deal with adhesives daily!)

Store the Wand in a plastic bag or longer gift box with the charger to keep them together, clean and also to prevent interactions with other silicones from damaging the head cover. Remember, always use water based lubes to prevent chemical reactions from damaging the TPR/silicone head cover.

Packaging

The Wand arrived inside a plastic bag and has a URL charger included. There are no instructions, but I have included the following:

--Charging takes approx. 2 hours.
--Do NOT charge around water!
--Usage can vary from 45 minutes to 2 hours depending on the level
of vibration you set it on. Higher strength patterns use more
power and will drain the battery faster than the low throb setting.
--Do NOT use on your head, if you have a pacemaker or other inserted stimulator.
--Do NOT use when pregnant.
--Do not use on calves. It is strong enough to break up small blood clots and loosen
them which can create strokes.

Rechargeable Wand--
~2/3 lighter in weight.
~Balanced better in the handle.
~Cordless, rechargeable and portable.

~More functions and patterns.
~Controls are more user friendly.
~Not as numbing, but as powerful.

Hitachi--
~Does not lose power due to low battery.
~No charging time.

Experience

I much prefer using this Wand to the Hitachi. My hubby bought the Hitachi for me years ago and I used it only a couple times due to the numbing effect on my clitoris. It also made me very sore and was extremely awkward and heavy. I brought out the Hitachi only twice in the last 3-4 years. Once was when I wrote my review on it and the second time was just to turn it on for comparison with this Wand.

The Wand is more comfortable, definitely quieter and has a deeper and more controllable power. This should work with most people who love the Hitachi, since the power and penetration is similar. It does lack the "rub your clitoris off your body strength", but has a more versatile vibration.

Thank you very much for the review! I've been considering this wand instead of a Hitachi for a while, and you've made quite a case for it!

I've nominated this review for the Rumble.

I notice in the comments section on the product page that Maxim from Eden says the head is silicone. I was told it was, but when I received mine, I did not believe it to be true. My question for you is how do you know it's TPR? I am not saying you are wrong, I am curious how you found this out. I received mine damaged, so I am not risking a flame test and voiding my return. Did you flame test it? (Also, only Maxim says it's silicone; the product page only says plastic for the materials.)

Thanks for the review, I'm sure it will help everyone who's looking at this. I can attest, it is exceptionally lightweight and it is rumbly. It's about time someone put out a multi-controlled, cordless wand like this that doesn't cost a mint like the Lelo Smart Wand.

@SincerelyN--Thank you! I appreciate the nom and honestly loved this wand!

@WickedWahine--I did about 3-4 hours of research on the net, finding out the manufacturer and materials used. I do this with most of my reviews since I need to have my facts straight prior to writing them.

thanks for the review. I've read so much about how powerful the Hitachi is & knew I'd the "rub your clitoris off your body strength" experience. looks like this wand is something I'd enjoy.

Got mine in last night and after ensuring good connections, 10 hour of "charging" has not charged this device. I am trying again then going to have to return. I was so encouraged too.

I've been considering a wand lately. I don't want a Hitatchi because after seeing my friend's I think it'd be a bit much, both vibration and noise-wise. Thanks for this review. This definitely looks like a possibility

Thank you for the great review. I didn't see if it was waterproof on the description page. So I looked for some information in the reviews. I wasn't aware the Cover came off for washing. That made cleaning so much easier. Thanks! I also never would have thought about using it to clean jewelry.
