Better than the original in most ways!

While this toy is better than the original Seduction, I just am not sure it's a full $20 better. It is a nicer material, and it does fit better to my body, but it still has the same 3 settings as the original and doesn't have any more oomph.

Use

The Fleur De Lis Seduction is a silicone, motorized vibrator. It's the silicone version on the plastic Seduction by Evolved, but it does have a very different feel from the original.

The main use for this toy is vaginal insertion. This toy has a tapered tip, wide bulge, and thin neck, which makes it very comfortable to thrust with and insert. The bulge can be used for g-spot stimulation, but the flexible material means it's not going to be as intense as other toys.

While it's main use is insertion, this toy is also splendid at external stimulation. The pointed tip is nice for pinpoint stimulation, but you also can use the broad bulb for broad stimulation. It's also nice to use on other erogenous zones on either gender.

This toy is NOT AT ALL anal safe. Though it does have a long 'neck' to hold on to, it has no handle, flared base, or retrieval cord. If you want a new anal toy, Eden has plenty of safe toys, so please don't use this one!

If you're a couple looking for a first toy, both this and the plastic Seduction come highly recommended. While this one is a bit more expensive, the extra flex may make it easier to not bruise your partner. It's super versatile and can be used for foreplay, during oral, and externally during sex.

If you're new to the world of toys this would also be a nice option, though I don't usually recommend something this expensive. It's a versatile shape, has deep vibrations, and has several power settings.

This toy 100% passes Ryu's dorm seal of approval. It's small enough to stash in a drawer, easy to care for, and quiet enough that it can't be heard over the shower or through a door. If you live in close quarters with others this would be a fine choice.

Material / Texture

The main difference between the Fleur De Lis Seduction and the original Seduction, other than the price, is the material. The entire Fleur De Lis line is just Evolved re-making their best selling shapes in a different material. In reality, there is a large difference between the silicone and plastic versions of the toy.

Plastic is rated an 8 out of 10 on the Eden Safety Scale. It's nonporous and body safe, meaning that it won't leak gross chemicals into your body, and that bacteria can't build up inside of the material itself, but can only be found on the outside of the material. Plastic can be disinfected with a 10% bleach solution and is very rigid.

Silicone is rated a 10 out of 10 on the Eden Safety scale and is also nonporous and body safe. While you can boil silicone to disinfect it, you can not boil this toy. If you plan on switching users or orifices, use the bleach method to kill germs. Silicone is very soft and flexible.

The shaft of this toy is silicone, and is very flexible. The part closest to the base is silicone over a plastic shell, but the area right before the head has the most flex. The base of the toy, where the button is, is made up of plastic. The silicone is matte and even has a slight texture to it. It feels smooth when it's lubes up, but it almost a bit rough, giving it a LOT of drag.

While the neck of the toy has the most flex, the entire toy has give to it. There are also no seams that I can feel in the toy. The bulb not having much flex makes it a bit easier to feel and to stimulate the g-spot, though you can't get much torque because of the pliable material.

Made of safe materials, having little texture, and having a slight bit of flex, this material would be good for beginners. Advanced users may want the intensity that a firmer material offers, but the soft shaft also would make it nice for partner play.

    • Not porous at all

Design / Shape / Size

If you have the Seduction, this may not be something you need in your toy box right now. The two are VERY similar in design, shape, and size.

This Seduction is about a half inch longer, coming in at 7.5 inches. It's also a bit girthier at the widest point, coming in at 4.75 inches compared to the 4.5 inches of the plastic toy. These are not large enough changes to make it seem drastically different, but between the larger girth and draggier material I did find it a bit harder to insert.

While it does have a pointed tip, the soft material makes it harder to bruise your cervix. The pointed tip does make it very nice for pinpoint clitoral, nipple, or stimulation of the male genitalia. It's small enough to only vibrate one location.

The wide bulge makes it fairly nice at g-spot stimulation, though it's may not be intense enough for some. The wide bulb also can be used for great broad stimulation and feels nice ran over the entire labia.

The thin neck means that you have g-spot girth but not much 'stretching' any where else. This is great for ladies who hate feeling the discomfort at their entrance that comes with a large toy, but it also means that some size queens will be disappointed.

If you left this out it's fairly obvious that it's a sex toy, even though it doesn't look phallic. It's an alright size to toss into an overnighter or back pack, but it's a bit large to keep in a purse if you're out and about.

In total, this size would be great for people looking for an average sized toy with a bit of flex and shape. If you find yourself wanting a bit of internal girth, but you hate girth at your entrance, the Seduction is a great design for you.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The functions of the Fleur De Lis Seduction are the same as the original, both in power and number. This is an area that they really could have bumped it up a notch, especially to compare to similar toys in this price range.

You control this toy by pressing the single button on the base. This turns the toy on to the lowest setting. The button isn't in the best location, as you can accidentally press it when you're trying to put some oomph into your initial insertion, but it's relatively out of the way.

There are thee settings to this toy. The first setting, low, is a 1 in vroom and less than a 1 in bee. The second setting, medium, is a 2 in vroom and a 1.5 in bee. The third setting, high, is a 3 in vroom and a 2.5 in bee.

While this isn't for power queens, the rumbly vibrations are focused in the tip and should be able to get most people off. It's also quiet enough that you can't hear it over the shower or through a closed door.

This toy is 100% waterproof. The vibrations don't change under water at all, so it would be a great bath or shower companion.

One complaint I've heard about this toy is that it had issues with the batteries moving and it not working. I haven't had this issue, and there's now a small slip that holds the batteries in place. I can only assume that Evolved took the criticism to heart and implemented the change.

While power queens will be upset about this toy, and I think that it should have more options to match the competitors in this price range, most ladies should be okay with the settings of this toy.
    • Discreet sound
    • Easy to use
    • Multiple settings

Care and Maintenance

Because there are no seams, textures, or areas that catch gunk, this toy is super easy to care for and store. It's a bit of a lint magnet, so it may be best to wash it both before and after each use. You can wash this toy with antibacterial toy cleaner, soap and water, or a toy wipe.

If you plan on switching users or orifices, you should disinfect this toy with a 10% bleach solution. This will kill any bacteria on the surface, preventing the spread of infection and germs. You can't boil this toy or put it into the dishwasher because of the motor and plastic parts.

You should avoid storing this toy in contact with other silicone toys because the two materials could react together. Similarly, this toy should not be used with silicone based lube.

Packaging

The packaging for the Fleur De Lis line is different from the plastic line, but it's not bad, per se. The usual Evolved 'traditional' toys come in metal tins with a plastic window. The tins clamp shut on the sides and make for stellar storage for not just toys, but for just about anything that size.

The packaging for these toys is more elegant, but is much less practical. It is a dome made of thick plastic, and reminds me of the rose case from the Disney movie Beauty and the Beast. It LOOKS awesome, and I could see it sitting romantically as a surprise at a fancy dinner, but you really can't keep your pencils in it.

There isn't much information on the packaging, but there are a few bullet points talking about the toy. There are several raised, attractive patterns on the plastic case. This toy also comes with a cute charm on the top. While that's not a huge selling point, it is nice to look at.

Because of the awkward size and design of the packaging, it's not good at all for storage. It is, however, great for gift giving. It makes the toy feel very high end, though it is obvious what's in it.

Experience

When my Seduction was lost in a freak accident (got tossed out accidentally) I was seeking to fill the hole it left in my life (pun intended). I had always had my eye on this, the silicone version of my first favorite toy, but never really had a good reason to drop $50 for it. When I got the points from the Birthday club I said screw it, it will be my birthday gift from Eden.

While this is better than the original Seduction, it's not quite as nice a deal. I really do enjoy the nicer material and the slight bit of flex the shaft has. The lack of torque is made up for by a slightly girthier bulge in the tip, and it's also a bit longer.

The vibrations do feel more rumbly in this toy than the original, but that's just the way that the material works. It's really nice.

On the other hand, they also didn't really ADD anything to the toy. It's just as whisper quiet, moderately powerful, and has the same three setting options. When I think of other $50 toys on Eden I imagine the Envie massagers by NS Novelties, the Zizo by Picobong, and Harmonia by Close2You. Those all feature amazing patterns for the same price, and I can't help but feel they're much better as far as 'bang for your buck' is concerned.

In total, I am giving this toy 4 stars. I didn't deduct a star because something went wrong, but I rather am deducting a star because for $20 more I'd expect something to be better other than the material.

Awesome flexibility! I like it. I've never gotten this one, but it's really cute! I hate to hear an upgrade still didn't add power though. It looks pretty fun. I didn't know this thing had so much flexibility!

Fantastic review as always! It sounds like a great toy but traditional vibrators usually aren't my thing unless they're textured glass. Love your photos and the information you shared with us

Thanks for the advice about this compared to the regular version. I agree, that for $20 more, there should at least be more options of vibration than just three! I was looking at another model in the same line & am SO glad I read this review first, because I see the same situation with it. Your reviews are always so helpful, thank you!
