The Petite Couture Bella is a wonderful choice for those just beginning in rabbit vibrator play or for those who do not wish to have a lot of rotation at the tip of the toy. Being my first rabbit vibe, I found the Bella perfect for my needs.

The shaft is soft yet firm, and the clit vibe is perfectly placed for my body. While the shaft rotation was not large enough to put any type of pressure against my G-spot I found that it did stimulate my vaginal walls perfectly. You know, so many toys leave me wanting more vaginal stimulation. The Bella's rotating shaft provides gentle massage to my entire vaginal wall, which increases blood flow to the area, thereby increasing sensation. The clit vibe is thumb shaped and vibrates at seven different modes ranging from barely there to intense.

The only draw back to this toy is the fact that it is underpowered by its batteries. When I used BOTH vibes and rotation the battery life failed me, only lasting about ten minutes before the toy turned off. Also, when the rotation was turned on the vibe strength would lessen. Therefore, if you require both vibe and rotation this is not a good choice. If, however, you are content with choosing one or the other or switching through them like myself than I highly recommend the Bella.

The shaft and clit stimulator of Bella are constructed out of 100% silicone. This means that the toy is both tasteless and odorless. For those of you who are allergenic to many materials, silicone is hypoallergenic. The texture is slightly velvety which adds some friction during play. This means that you will want to use a lot of lube when playing. Since the material is soft it is perfect for beginners and advanced users alike.

The control unit is constructed out of extremely smooth plastic. The unit is so smooth in fact, that is is almost slippery and could become too slippery to handle if lube drips down. I have yet to have this problem so take it with a grain of salt.

The Bella is a non phallic non animal shaped toy so it's a good choice for those who are not into any type of realistic or fantasy vibes. The total length of the toy is a perfect 9 inches long. Of that, about 4 are insertable, making it a good choice for beginners. Now, lets' talk about the shaft itself for a moment. The tip of the shaft is ribbed in the front. Four smooth ribs start about an inch down and end two inches down. The first rib is bulbous and curved ever so slightly upward for G spot stimulation, but I really didn't notice much of an effect. The circumference is about 4 inches meaning that it is girthy enough for a full feeling without being painful.

The clit stimulator is 3 1/4 inches long, 3 inches circumference, and 1/4 inch raised from the shaft. The stimulator is extremely flexible and can bend all the way down to the shaft or to a 90 degree angle upwards. Therefor, it should fit all women. Three smooth ridges start about a 1/4 of an inch down it's shaft but these really won't do much for you as they are pretty much our of reach. What will stimulate you are 6 little nubs on the tip of the clit stimulator. These, coupled with the vibes, were intense.

Because this toy is a rabbit vibe it is impossible to consider it discreet. Anyone will be able to guess what it is. Because of this, I recommend keeping it out of sight. Also, this is not a toy meant for travel. While it is sturdy and probably won't break in a suitcase, it won't be easy to hide.

The Bella is controlled by a large, easy to hold, base unit consisting of three blue lighted buttons. The first turns the unit on, the second controls the vibration mode, and the third controls the rotation speed. When you push the power button, the only thing that happens is the lights come on, that's it. So, you have to choose what type of stimulation you want, either vibration or rotation.

Let's talk about vibration. The Bella has 7 modes of vibration. All vibrations are centered in the rabbit and do not go through the shaft.

All vibrations, besides the first, are powerful which is wonderful for me since I love strong vibration. The vibes are powerful yet quiet and cannot be heard from behind a closed door.

The last feature is the rotation which has three speeds, low, medium, and high. The rotation itself is not drastic and only moves about 1/4 inch. About two inches of the shaft rotate from the tip down. Perfect for beginners but this may not please more advanced users. The rotation is the loudest function and could be heard through a closed door.

The controls themselves are easy to use push buttons with pictures instead of words. The power button contains the power symbol found on all United States electronics. The vibration button shows a squiggly line. Finally, the rotation button has two arrows going in a circle. Pretty straight forward. In order to use, you simply push the power button and choose the vibration setting, the rotation setting, or both. Like most vibes, you have to switch through the settings to find the one you prefer.

The batteries are contained at the base of the toy. A snap top is removed with a very slight twist revealing a removable battery compartment. This unit takes three triple A batteries and there are no instructions. This threw me for a loop at first. The front of the battery case only holds two batteries while the back holds one. I did not see the back, so I inserted two and wondered why the unit did not work. There are pictures on the battery case itself regarding battery positioning. Once the batteries are installed you slip the unit back into the control handle, place the cap back on, and twist slightly to close. Unfortunately, the bottom of the unit is curved and cannot stand upright.

This toy claims to be waterproof but I don't recommend using it in the water. Mine did not come with an O-ring and appears to have places which could leak. If you do decide to use it in water, make sure that your water has a low salt contend as salt could easily corrode the push buttons.

Because this toy is made from silicone you can sterilize it. Simply place the shaft only into a pot of boiling water and hold for about three minutes to disinfect. Make sure you wear oven mitts and long sleeves to protect yourself from any splashing. You could also throw this toy on the top rack of the dishwasher and run it through a cycle but be careful as this toy does not seem to be all that waterproof. If you don't want to sterilize the toy, just wash with warm soap and water or a toy cleaner. What ever method you choose be sure to wash before and after each use.

Since you can sterilize this toy it can be used anally without a condom. The clit stimulator will help keep the vibe from getting lost in you, or you can turn the toy around and let the clit vibe stimulate your anus.

Silicone toys take a little extra care. Since they cannot come into any contact with silicone it is important to store them away from other toys made of silicone. You also want to only use water based lubes with this toy, never silicone, as contact with silicone will break down the materials.

The toy arrived nestled within a foam sheath inside a cardboard box with a sleek sexy design. The first thing you see is the toy presented next to a waterfall, very pretty. California Exotics offers an in depth description about the toy on all sides of the box, along with safety recommendations, cleaning instructions, and lube recommendations. I was surprised to discover that with all those recommendations, an instruction sheet did not exist. I would have found one helpful for the controls and perhaps tips for battery life. Since this toy comes in cardboard it is not suitable for gifting and should be placed either in a gift box or bag. You could use the box for storage but it would break down over time.

As I stated above, this was my first rabbit vibrator. After I had figured out the batteries and controls I took it for a test drive. I inserted the toy and turned on both the vibes and rotation. For the next ten minutes I switched through each setting and found the vibes to be a little weak. The rotation though was unlike anything I had ever felt before. All too soon, the unit turned off. At first, I thought I had pressed the power button but when it did it a second time, I knew what was happening. My batteries were dying. Even so, I was determined. I turned the vibration on only and suddenly the vibes became very powerful. Turns out there just isn't enough power to run both the vibes and rotation. So, I spent the remainder of my session switching through either vibes or rotation. After a little while, I just let the rabbit buzz at its highest speed until I came. Wonderful toy, wonderful vibes, wonderful all around.
