If the motor in the shaft was a bit stronger, I would be in love with this thing. Even though I'm afraid of burning up the motor, I still find myself grabbing this vibe pretty frequently. Even without the rotation, the penetration combined with the incredible clit stimulation always guarantee a fantastic (and generally quick) orgasm. Give it a try.
Thumbelina was my very first vibrator. She is pretty badass in theory. The Thumbelina is a dual action vibe, designed for clitoral and G-spot stimulation. Her shaft rotates and the clitoral stimulator houses a powerful bullet. With fresh batteries, the clit stimulation is incredibly intense, even on the lowest vibration setting.
Thumbelina is a great vibe for beginners. I still reach for her if I am looking for a great clitoral orgasm mixed with some penetration, but the rotation of the shaft doesn't do as much for me as I'd like. My PC muscles try to destroy the motor, and that's no fun for anyone.
I'm not a fan of using this vibe for couples action, but to each his own.
Thumbelina is made of elastomer, so she's super comfortable. Elastomer is moderately porous and cannot be sanitized, so just use mild soap and water, toy wipes, or anti-bac toy cleaner. Use a condom if you plan on sharing this toy. Thumbelina can be used with both silicone or water-based lubricants.
Thumbelina has raised nubs around the head and shaft for a nice added internal sensation. The 'rabbit' clit attachment is more of a bumblebee, with a long-ish 'stinger' instead of 'ears'. The 'stinger' is very flexible and works wonders on your clit. The underside of the little bumblebee has more of the raised nubs for some added stimulation.
Thumbelina does smell, well, a bit like a sex toy. That's the best way to describe it. The smell isn't unpleasant, but I wouldn't call it pleasant either.
Thumbelina is a little over eight inches long, with about three and a half of those inches being insertable. She's not ideal for travel, and is not the most discreet toy. The head of this vibe is bulbous, great for G-spot stimulation. The shaft is tapered and not incredibly thick. The clit stimulator is not perfectly positioned, but can be easily moved to wherever you need it. The only serious flaw in the design of this vibrator is the week motor for the rotation of the shaft. It is just not strong enough to stand up to the contractions of my PC muscles.
Both the clit stimulator and the shaft of the Thumbelina have pretty strong vibration. There are separate sliding controls for the clit attachment and the shaft. The controls are pretty simple to use, even in the throes of passion. As I previously stated, the only gripe I have is with the weak motor in the shaft. The rotation just does not cut it.
Thumbelina is quite noisy. If you have a roommate or thin walls, this may not be an ideal toy for you. I managed when I lived with roommates, but I tried to use her only when I had the house to myself or when I had music playing to drown out the telltale buzz.
Thumbelina takes 4 AAA batteries and is not water resistant.
Thumbelina is made of elastomer, so she's moderately porous, but also pretty easy to clean. I like to use Before and After anti-bacterial toy cleaner, but mild soap and warm water will do the trick. I let Thumbelina air dry, simply because the material will pick up lint and hair and the like. I store my Thumbelina in a toy bag to minimize the amount of foreign material she picks up.
The elastomer is also compatible with both silicone and water-based lubes.

Follow-up commentaryI still like it3 months after original review
Thumbelina doesn't make it out of the drawer as much as she used to, but that doesn't mean I don't still love this toy. It has been over two years, and she is not dead yet...I really didn't expect her to last this long. Granted, her weak motor still makes me a little sad, but the clitoral attachment is pretty darn amazing and can almost make up for the lack of power in the rotating shaft. Thumbelina still gets me off...she's just got a lot more competition now. I do still like her, and I'll hang on to this toy until she dies for good.

I hate it when my pc muscles try to kill the motor of my toys! Great review.

It is noisy...which would be fine if the motor were as strong as the sound would lead you to believe. But alas, it is no match for my mighty PC muscles.
Thanks for the compliments!
