A Relic From Grandma's Time
The Vibratex Velvet is an old fashioned rabbit style vibrator that my grandmother would find outdated. The noisiness and weakness of this toy leaves much to be desired. Made of Elasatomer, this toy is already falling apart and the semi-porous material provides heath risks to the user.

My Experience
I was so excited for this toy. I love rabbit style vibrators and the purple color appealed to me. When I received my package in the mail, I couldn't wait to try out my new (and hopefully favorite) rabbit, the Vibratex Velvet.
I opened my package and saw the box holding the Vibratex Velvet....
YUCKK!!
The box was dented and covered in dust and some sort of sticky dirt. The box looked as though it had been unearthed by archaeologists from a burial site hundreds of years old. I hoped that the toy hadn't been as affected by age as the box.
When I opened the box and pulled the Vibratex out I was extremely disappointed. The toy itself was older than the Dinosaurs and completely falling apart. The toy had lines and cracks in the Elastomer, which marketed itself as indestructible. I don't often see toys of this material so I did a little bit of research.
These are aspects of Elastomer-
Rubber
Hypo-Allergenic
Latex Free
Phthalates Free
Softer than Jelly
More Porous than Silicone
You cannot boil Elastomer but you can wash the Vibratex-
With Warm Water and Soap
With Toy Wipes
With A Slight Bleach Solution
You can use all sorts of lube with Elastomer-
Use Condoms When Sharing the Vibratex- as the toy is semi-porous and it could swap diseases and fluid bond sharers of the vibe.
This material obviously degrades quickly and though I could not find a date when this toy was made I would not be surprised if it was made in the 1980's when Vibratex opened. I could not believe that this dinosaur was shipped to me and I was a little afraid to use it. I doubt electricity had been perfected during the time this toy was crafted.
After a good washing and a well placed condom I used the toy and was surprised by its...mediocrity. It was not worth the washing and having to use precautions towards a toy that I am not sharing annoyed me.
Shape and Size
The color of the toy comes in either a violet purple or a baby pink.
The top of the toy is a thick head that is shaped to look like hair on the face that sits on top of the shaft. Raised bumps in the form of necklaces sit around the shaft (or neck of the woman). The face is duplicated both in the front and back of the vibrator.
The clit vibe is in the shape of a duck. The tip of its bill presses against the clitoris. The duck does not have a solid core running all the way through and is soft to the touch, almost like a marshmallow.
The shaft is 9.5 inches long but only 4.5 inches of that are insertable. This toy is not too large as the shaft is small in circumference (4.5).
Controls
The controls are located at the base of the vibe. The base is a thick hilt with vertical lines that provide easy grasp for the user. This hilt is where the two sliding controls are located. The shaft and controls are white and gold, and easy to understand. The first control increases the shafts rotating. The second control increases the speed of vibration of the clit massager. The buzzy vibrations are medium hard and are a little stronger than cell phone vibrations.
The vibe takes 3 AAA batterys which is great becuase they are easy to find and you can even buy them here on Eden Fantasys [link|https://www.edenfantasys.com/sex-essentials/batteries/aaa-batteries-4-pack].
Sound
As you would expect from this old dinosaur, it sounds like a roaring beast.
As Candi, another EF reviewer said, "The vibrator sounded like an electric razor and the swivel control sounded like a drill. And the higher I turned the controls, the louder it got. Also, the higher one control was, the weaker the other was." I completely agree. The swivel was so noisy I feel way too uncomfortable to use this function after trying it out once.
Packaging
You know the terrible state my toy came in, but in case you are lucky enough to obtain a well kept package this is what it will look like-
-Large White Box
-Clear Front Displaying the Vibratex
-Made in Japan
-Contains Instructions
Once my camera unearths itself from beneath my messy bed, I will take photos of my mess of a sex toy.

Experience
I am disappointed in this antique vibe. I don't want to give away a toy that is so old and I doubt anyone would be pleased to receive it as a gift. Even my grandmother has more updated toys! I found that the creepy little face on the shaft and the choice of a duck for the clit vibe, put a damper on my sex drive.
Follow-up commentary
3 months after original review
Ugh. This toy is absolutely disgusting. Its material has begun to degrade further and I have thrown it into the plastic bag that houses the toys that I will never use. I hope people read my review before they buy this relic!
