A fun idea that could use a little tweaking!
In theory, the Freestyle W should be an exciting and multi-sensory toy. Sadly, once the novelty wears off, the design of the Freestyle W leaves much to be desired and vibration settings will leave you reaching for a more basic, dual vibrator.

Pros
Musical experience, Rechargeable, Silicone, Lovely packaging
Cons
Dull vibration, Uncomfortable design
The Freestyle W is a dual vibrator manufactured by OhMiBod. The Freestyle W is made of silicone and has a plastic base. It is 8 1/4" inches long with 5" insertible and slightly over an inch in diameter. The shaft of the Freestyle W is wavy, adding extra pleasure to the experience. The shaft is also slightly curved for added enjoyment and possible g-spot stimulation.
Though it is much the same shape as other dual vibrators, but also features the ability to vibrate in time to music, taking the experience to a whole new level. The Freestyle W is wireless, and charges by plugging into an outlet instead of taking batteries. This was certainly a feature that I enjoyed, as I hate wasting batteries or relying on them to provide proper power for my toys. The Freestyle W comes with several attachments to make sure that it can fit most outlets, which is really useful if plan on taking this toy traveling with you.
Another attachment connects to your MP3 player, laptop or any music enabled device. The wireless transmitter then sends a signal from your music device to the toy. A small dial allows you to change the sensitivity of the transmitter, changing how the toy responds to the music you are playing. My biggest issue with the wireless transmitter is that the sensitivity can need adjusting for each song, unless they are pretty similar in sound and rhythm. Generally, songs in the same genre don't need much adjusting. I found it best to create a playlist specifically for the Freestyle W so that I spend less time adjusting the transmitter. There are even websites online that recommend songs and playlists just for OhMiBod toys! Part of the fun of this toy is seeing how different songs work with the vibration.
The wireless transmitter takes 3 AAA batteries, which are included with the toy. Since the toy itself is rechargeable, there is a small port for the charger to plug into, though it is covered with a silicone plug when not being used. It takes a couple of hours for the toy to fully charge, but once it does you can use it for about three hours before it needs another charge. The toy will also hold charge for about sixty days if unused.
Another wonderful feature of this toy is the control pad. Unlike most toys, the Freestyle W has an upside down, flower shaped control pad on the base of the toy. This allows for the user to easily adjust the settings while the toy is being used. A small musical note shows which button to press to activate the musical mode of the toy, while manual mode allows the toy to be used without music. Two other buttons allow for adjustment in vibration while in manual mode, making the Freestyle W a versatile and multi-use toy.
Although the Freestyle W is 'splash proof', it is certainly not waterproof so be extra careful with the charging port while cleaning this toy. Also, because this toy is silicone, it should not be used with silicone lubricants and should always be cleaned with mild soap and water or toy cleaner. The toy comes with a lovely, white satin pouch that makes for easy storage.
Overall, the Freestyle W is a well-made and durable toy which provides a lot of entertainment in the bedroom. Though I found it exciting to experience my favorite music in a whole new way, the Freestyle W failed to hit the right spots for me. I found the vibrating arm of the toy to be too short and it did not reach my clitoris. I also found that because the vibrating arm was rather inflexible, it almost seemed to pinch and dug into my pelvic bone making it rather uncomfortable. The slight curve of the shaft also did not reach my g-spot and I felt I had to either choose between g-spot stimulation or clitoral stimulation, as it was physically impossible to have both at once. I am assuming that this will not be the case for everyone, but the Freestyle W definitely did not work with my body or my partner's.
I also found the vibration of the Freestyle W to be rather weak. I do not feel that the vibration spread out well throughout the toy, despite the dual motors. I would sometimes use the Freestyle as a warm up before switching over to a more basic, dual vibrator.

Experience
I really wanted to love the Freestyle W, but the shape of the toy seemed incompatible with my body. While I loved the idea of this toy, I was not pleased with the execution of it and neither was my partner.
Follow-up commentary
4 months after original review
I really wanted to like this toy, but it did not fit my body correctly. I'm sure it works for some people, but neither my partner or I liked it. The idea behind it is awesome. It simply didn't feel well executed.
