I was a little disappointed with this toy, but it's possible that it was just because of the way it fit with my body. It didn't hit where I felt it should hit. The vibrations were nice, and strong, but they weren't what I was looking for. I would have preferred that it was a more solid toy, instead of flexing; because it made it more difficult to get the toy where I wanted it to be. All in all, I don't think this toy is for the pros out there.
This butterfly kiss was made for g-spot stimulation with a butterfly for clitoral stimulation. It could easily be used anally. I wouldn't suggest this for advanced toy users, but new comers might enjoy it. It would probably work best for foreplay, but I couldn't get off with it.
The butterfly kiss is made of TPR. TPR is more porous than silicone and cannot be boiled to sterilize, so use a condom when sharing. It feels a little sticky to the touch and there is a lot of drag to it, so lube would be a good idea. It isn't a solid material, so there's a bit of bending. It doesn't have a taste, but smells very faintly like plastic. I think the texture is more for beginners, rather than advanced users.
The toy is 7 inches total, with 3 and a half inches insertable, and about an inch in diameter. It has a bulbous end to it and a cute little butterfly that is belly up and almost looks like he is giggling, in my opinion. There are little hearts around the base, but they don't add to the stimulation at all since they are beyond the portion that is insertable. It is a relatively small toy, and you could probably put it under your pillow; but it does collect lint, so be careful. It is definitely for beginners because of it's size. If you plan on traveling with this toy, I would get a discreet container for it. It wouldn't be practical to put it in your purse.
To turn the toy on, you simply push the button on the bottom of the toy. If you push it once, it turns it on to a low speed. Hit it twice and it speeds up. Hit it a third time, and it goes to its max speed. If you push the button one more time, the toy shuts off. This is nice for easy use because it is easy to find the button without looking, but it would be easy to shut it off on accident. Plus if you want to go a step down from the highest, you have to turn the toy off and start the process over again. There aren't any patterns to the vibrations either, they are just solid vibes. The base of the toy screws off to get to the batteries, which are 2 AAAs. This toy is waterproof. It is fairly quiet, and can't be heard from under the covers.
When cleaning this toy, make sure you don't boil it! You can use toy cleaner or a mild soap with water. I use the edenfantasys toy wipes. It is pretty easy to clean and take care of. I wouldn't store it in its original packaging, since it just came in a plastic bag; but I would definitely store it in something because of the lint factor. I wash mine before and after use because it collects so much lint and cat hair. Silicone and water based lubes will work with this toy.
Follow-up commentaryI still don't like it3 months after original review
I still don't like this toy. In fact, I ended up giving it away after a couple more uses. It just didn't fit me right and it wasn't a toy that I found myself going to when I needed a little somethin' somethin'

Nice review! This was my first toy from EF as a reviewer and I absolutely hated it. It would not reach my clitoris no matter what I done. The thing ended up not even vibrating after 2 months and it was too flexible for me too. Could've been an amazing foreplay toy if it wasn't so poorly designed. I gave mine away. Lol.
It is interesting to see that I'm not the only one who found these problems with the butterfly.

Nice review! Thanks for the flexible heads up! I prefer more solid toys as well.
