Whoa, Sheerness.
I was hoping to wear this piece out in public as a nice top, but it does NOT look like the stock photo. The material is sheer, even before I put it on. When the mesh material sits on the body, it no longer looks like the nice red in the stock photo. It also hugs all of the curves that you may not want it to. It may work for you, but it definitely doesn't for me.

Pros
ruffles, inexpensive, comfortable material, includes matching thong
Cons
does not look like stock photo, sheer material, flattens my boobs, creeps up in back
I loved the Leopard Chemise and Thong by DreamGirl as soon as I had seen it. The way it looked on the model made it seem like it would make a great top I could wear in public with a pair of jeans. In the stock photo, it doesn’t look sheer (but it is).
The chemise is available in two sizes; one-size-fits-most and plus size. The DreamGirl packaging states that the OSFM fits best for those within a 90-160lb weight bracket. I’m a tad bit more than the highest weight in that bracket, though I chose the OSFM over the plus size because I find the plus size is usually too baggy on me. It’s really a hit and miss for me, being an XL and all. Unfortunately for this piece, I probably should have ordered the plus size.
The outfit arrived in a cardboard package. The front of the packaging states the company name, size, and colour. The front also has a photo of a model wearing the outfit. The back of the packaging states the same information as the front, as well as a brief summary of the product and a back view of the model wearing the outfit. I don’t find the DreamGirl packaging to be ideal for storing the outfit when not in use. Inside of the cardboard packaging, the outfit is inside of a plastic bag.
The first thing I noticed when I took the outfit out of the packaging was how very sheer it was. This disappointed me because I wanted to wear it out in public as a nice little top. I suppose the chemise could be worn out in public with a tank top underneath of it, but I just was hoping it would be fine on its own. Unlike some pieces that become sheerer as you stretch it, this one is just sheer from the very beginning. The stock photo is very deceiving. Below is a photo of the chemise with no flash. You can see how sheer the material truly is in this photo.
The outfit is 90% nylon and 10% spandex. The material is very thin and stretchy. I’ve taken measurements of the outfit laying flat, unstretched. If you need additional measurements, send me a message and I will get them for you.
Thong
Waistband unstretched: 12 ½ inches
Waistband stretched as much as I could: 26 inches
Widest part of material that covers your front area: 4 inches
Liner length: 4 inches
Chemise
Width of top of chemise (the band that sits on your upper arms) unstretched: 17 ½ inches
Width of top of chemise stretched as much as I could: 33 inches
Width of bottom of chemise: 16 ½ inches
Chest (armpit to armpit): 13 inches
Length of chemise (armpit to bottom of chemise): 18 inches
The lace trim at the top and bottom of the chemise is the same size, 2 inches in length. Both the top and bottom trim runs around the entire chemise. The red ribbon that runs along the lace trim sits on top of an elastic band and has a crinkled look, though the more you need to stretch it, the less crinkled it appears. The same goes for the black ruffled lace.
There is no underwire or padding in the chest area, which may bother those who are looking for more support. There is a cute red bow that sits above the chest, in the centre area. I wear a C cup, and I found that this piece flattened my boobs quite a bit.
The thong is the same material as the chemise, with the same print. The thong is comfortable, though the waistband does cut into my hip chub quite a bit. It isn’t painful; it just doesn’t really look sexy. There is a liner in the thong.

Experience
...continued
The material of the chemise was comfortable and did not bother/irritate my skin while wearing it. Then again, I only wore it for about 15 minutes for the review because I hate the way it looks. It flattens my boobs, creeps up in the back, hugs all the curves that I’d prefer it didn’t, and it is sheer. The stock photo makes the chemise look like a bright red colour, but when you wear the chemise, the mesh material stretches and no longer looks like the stock photo colour. It really is not what I had expected at all.
The care tag states that the outfit should be hand washed in cold water, and line dried.
Overall, the chemise gets a 3 out of 5 rating from me. It’s very irritating when a stock photo outfit is different looking than the product you actually receive. The tight fit on me is not the outfit’s fault; I should have ordered the larger size available. It is a comfortable chemise and would be perfect for someone who loves animal print and sheer lingerie.

Follow-up commentary
4 months after original review
I had actually given this piece to my mom because she has a smaller frame then me. It fit her well (she tried it on over a tank top so I could see). It looked a lot better on her but she said she'd only wear it in the bedroom.

I would say that the plus size one may not have been assheer on you but you probably couldnt wear it in public still. I am glad you found someone to wear it though.
