What's red & black with bows all over?
This corset by Coquette is very pretty. The style is flattering to most any body type, especially those of us with a longer torso or who may be self conscious about our tummies. The cups are a generous size and the sizing runs a bit large.

Pros
Sizing is forgiving, flattering to most body types.
Cons
Hook & eye closures are a pain to fasten, cups don't offer enough support.

This corset has held up very, very well. It's still just as beautiful as it was the day I got it, thanks to hand washing and hang drying. Probably a little bit because of Coquette's high quality workmanship too. I haven't noticed any picks in the material and the plastic boning has held up wonderfully. The very top hook (the corset is fastened with hooks and eyes, like a bra) is missing. I can't remember if it was missing when it came or if it came off the first time I tried it on, but it doesn't affect the way it fits. There are like 50 hooks, so missing the very top one isn't a huge deal.
Even though it's still beautiful, I can't really wear it anymore. I've lost 20 lbs and can now slide it up over my wide hips or pull it on over my head, completely fastened, so you can imagine it doesn't do much shaping. It looks smoother, but my breasts get lost instead of being pushed up or sitting inside the cups. I haven't lost any actual breast tissue (I was a 42DD when I first purchased this, and now wear a 38DDD), so it's just that the ribcage is too wide. I say this to give everyone an even better gauge of the sizing. Many people have suggested to get this one a size down from the sizing chart, and that is still accurate.
If I could change one thing about this, and all of Coquette's lingerie with distinct cups for the breasts, it would be to add underwire! Either that or some sort of boning/material to firm up the cups. I'd like more breast support and separation. Other than that, this is a beautiful piece and every woman should own one!
