Two Exits, In case of Fire
I am torn on how to rate this bra and panties set, since the panties were a complete fail and the bra is already showing signs of wear. While the material is soft and comfortable, the best part of the piece (front opening bra) is where the material is damaged the most upon arrival. If you can figure out sizing, then this set is probably worth the money. Otherwise, you are paying 30$ for a bra without padding and with frayed material... and a g-string you will never wear.
Published:
Pros
soft, front and back opening to the bra, stretchy material
Cons
sizing, poor design for g-string, frayed material upon arrival
Upon Arrival: Looks
The set comes in a clear plastic bag. The bra and the g-string arrive neatly presented on a beautiful Coquette lingerie hanger.
Sadly, the best part about this bra is just shoddy looking. The front-hook opening is lined with satin, which is very frayed. It just doesn't look nice.
The rest of the bra, including all of the lace overlay, is pretty flawless (to an untrained eye like mine).
Material and Construction
The tag on the bra says that this set is made out of 80% Nylon and 20% Spandex.
It has a lace overlay, and black satin-looking accents (lining the front hook opening and the under wire support).
The material is pretty soft and stretchy and will not irritate skin. There is a wired support for each cup of the bra, but absolutely no padding. The material is thin, so it will not hide erect nipples.
There are hooks used to secure the bra in place, located on both the front and back of the garment. These are black and I believe made from metal.
The bra straps are extremely flexible. They are adjustable, as with most bras. I found the straps to be just barely long enough for my body, but having the stretchy material did help.
Care
The tag says that you should only hand wash this item, I think. The tag also says no triangles or no circles, which is confusing since I am puzzled by those symbols, but I am pretty sure the no "circle in a square" means no tossing it in the washing machine. The lace would probably tear, as it is delicate. You may be able to get away with washing it in a machine if you have a lingerie garment bag.
Sizing
I was hesitant to buy more lingerie from EF since my last disaster with a chemisier.
To be on the safe side, I went and purchased a "Large" for this set. Looking at the sizing chart, I thought the top might be a little roomy but I'd definitely get panties that fit perfectly. Right? Wrong, apparently. Both by fault of EF/Coquette's sizing chart, and by my own failure to measure myself again before ordering.
EF's Sizing Chart for Coquette
Large- Dress Sizes 14 - 12, Cup Size C, Band Size 38 - 40, Waist 30 - 32, Hips 40 - 42
Lingerie's Measurements
Panties, unstretched, across the front measure 14" (for an unstretched 28" hip to fit into). Uhm?
Panties, stretched to the max, across the front measure 21" (for, okay, 42").
To make the sizing chart true, you will have to be comfortable wearing an elastic band around your hips (or slightly higher up), at nearly full stretch. You will need to be okay with your g-string digging into your hips.
I found the panties extremely uncomfortable, mostly for this sizing error.
More info on the panties for you- the piece of cloth and lace to cover your groin measures 4" at the widest. It narrows quickly, to 2" in the front. On the hanger, this is supposed to give you 4" in length to cover the front part of your groin.
As for the bra, across the bottom band of the bra, it measures 13"... For a doubled band of 26", without stretching the fabric.
That sounds crazy, I know, for the supposed band size of 38-40. The material does have a little give and stretch though.
Now, for my measurements to give you an idea of how I found this garment...
I previously bought this garment under the assumption that I am a 36C, waist irrelevant, with 42" hips (where I want a g-string to sit, and not around the widest part of my booty).
Remeasured after trying this set on, I discovered I am 33.5" across the band, and just barely 38" across the breast. Doing basic bra sizing, I'd probably be more of a 34D. (I DID say basic bra sizing, so I hope not to get a bunch of comments telling me how ignorant I am of brassiere fittings.)
I feel wider across than in depth of cup, though, so I may be more considered a 36C still, but more toward a D cup size than not.
I also found that I am 40" across my hips. (My dress size is actually most frequently 10, so I don't know if EF Coquette meant pants size and not dress size, which I go anywhere from size 9 to 12 depending on brand.)
With these measurements, I should be entirely on the small side of fitting this garment.

Experience
As for How The Bra and G-String Set Fits & My satisfaction with my purchase... Drumroll please...
Marginal, across the board.
The panties feel uncomfortably small to me, though they are very soft which helps with the massive stretch the band endures. The major flaw with this design is that the groin-part, as I suspected, is just too small. It's thin, which I can live with, but the entire thing barely makes it from crack to crack (if you get my drift).
It sits about an inch and half above the part where my outer labial lips begin, and it barely covers them width wise. From the front, it looks as if I am hiding a g-string between my legs- not wearing one! It is uncomfortably low-sitting, and I say this coming from someone who only wears low-rise jeans...
From the back, the design of the g-string is very sexy. It makes an "m" type shape around my booty cheeks, accentuating them beautifully.
I love that look, but the fact remains that it sits too low in front to really be of much use (even in the seduction sense).
The bra fits pretty well. The material is perfect to make up for gross under-sizing. It stretches, it breathes, it tries its best to be comfortable and soft... However, with my measurements noted above, after wearing the bra for an hour, the front hooks are showing signs of over-stretch and not lining up perfectly. I have the back closure adjusted to be on the widest setting. There is still a clear gap in the front of the bra now.
I do like that it fits snugly and stretches to meet my cup size. However, shorter people with fuller breasts may find the top to be too snug. I cannot say for sure, since the material does give a bit. The under wire support does lie flat beneath my breasts though, which is nice and comfortable.
I find myself more okay with the front being stretched to meet my ample bosom.. than the bottom being so small and low-sitting.
Redone Size Chart
Large:
Cup: full B to roomy D
Band: 34
Ideal- probably 34C
Waist- Irrelevant
Hips: 30-38" ....basically, all I know is that you best be smaller than I am or okay with digging-in, horribly low-riding g-strings.
Overall
I think this set is really sexy, especially since it opens in both the front and the back. Since the front hooks tend to gape with my chest, though, I think I will be putting it on using the back hooks to preserve the front of the bra from needless wear.
The g-string will probably get no use, unfortunately.
My best advice is to buy up a size. I do understand everyone's body is unique and different, though, so I'd love to see how this set fit others.
I am concerned at the life of this garment. I don't know how many uses I will get out of it considering it's already warping in front. Hopefully it will not stretch or gape open anymore.
I do think the original sizing for this is ridiculously off, though, and I wish lingerie charts would accurately reflect what shows up on my doorstep.

Follow-up commentary
3 months after original review
Well, I've had this set for a while now. What to say?
The g-string was a waste of (too little) fabric. The top is stretching more than it should for the few times I've worn it. The bra will not / has not stood the test of time. I don't feel that I ordered an incorrect size for the bra, either, but the front opening has prominent gaps. Since this is NOT too small, my chest is totally failed for support or cleavage.
I just don't think this was a good buy, since it was essentially a bra that wasn't made with strong materials or smart construction. I still keep the bra hung up on the nice hanger, but I don't want to wear it too much since I am afraid of it breaking down more.
