This is one beautiful piece of lingerie that you will want to own. The red color is gorgeous, the brocade design is floral in a red on red color, it has a shimmer to it and the material is strong enough to withstand heavy use in and out of the bedroom.

The obvious use of this quality piece of lingerie is to make the wearer feel sexy/attractive/beautiful/frisky and for her partner to smile and be unable to resist grabbing her in his/her arms--which is exactly the effect it has on me each time I see her wearing it or just seeing it hanging in the closet.

The fabric is composed of 56% polyester and 46% cotton--there is absolutely no give/stretch to this material. There is no privacy panel in the back because there are hook/eye closures. Actually, there are 2 rows of these but the 2nd row only adds another 5/8" to it...not a heck of a lot of room. In the front there is a very long and generous piece of narrow red satin ribbon that criss-crosses to close the corset. You can not put it very tight because the ribbon is delicate and too much force would cause it to break at some point. It looks fine with the ribbon allowing up to an inch of skin to show but more than that looks like the garment is just too small for the woman wearing it.

Running vertically along the corset there are 8 plastic support boning. There is no under-wire support for the breasts and unlike many bone in corsets there is not extra room to accommodate large breasts. An A/B would fit best; a C cup would have some great cleavage and look very lusty but a D cup or larger would probably overflow and feel uncomfortable for the wearer. Naturally perky breasts would help!

The shoulder straps are unique to this item--I have never seen any lingerie designed this way. Each strap is made of the same brocade fabric and is about 3/8" across with a strip of the satin ribbon running the full length. On each side of the strap is a sheer net/chiffon ruffle about 7/8" wide. This helps with the breast support as the straps are quite strong. The same fabric is along the bottom of the corset and is 4" long. It looks like a mini skirt attached and if you are not comfortable with your upper thighs this will mask any thing you find problematic. It also looks very sexy.

The center back is 12.25" long and with the 4" skirt it totals 16.25" long. The midpoint of the front is 13" and with the 4" skirt totals 17". Again, I want to stress that not much tension can be placed on the center ribbon closure because the embroidered eyelets will not hold up well to pulling/tugging.

The thong is probably the best quality thong I have ever had, hands down, at any price from any place. It is the same fabric as the corset with a small cotton lining in the crotch (very small--I wish they would make these bigger so they would be more effective in preventing vaginal infections). It measures 5" across at the front top, narrows to 1 5/8" and then widens to 2.25" at the top in back. The waist band is red elastic--about 3/8" wide--very soft and stretchy. It is ultra comfortable and I would wear it every day if I could! The waist measures a generous 29" and would easily accommodate a larger waist.

Now that I have objectively told you about the beauty and quality of this item, here is the bad news. It runs extra, extra, extra small. Normally I have had great luck with Dreamgirl and their sizing is usually accurate or generous. This garment measures (from top closure to top closure) only 32". With no stretch, I do not see how this can accommodate a woman with a bust measurement over 34"--35" (allowing for some opening in front). The waist is 32" so opening it will give you an extra inch and the hip measure the same as the top. My dress size is 12/14 and I wear a 36 C/D and the large did not come close to fitting--I am sure the X-large would not work either so I did not exchange this, I just returned it. MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT.

This can be worn in the bedroom or out on the town. There is nothing sheer (except for the ruffle trim) that is so revealing that most women, who dress on the less conservative side, would object to. For more modest women, a cami or tank top could easily be worn with the straps hidden by the straps of the corset. A matching and/or contrasting color would look fabulous. I tried it with white and I loved it. The only caution would be to adjust the front lace so it is as close as you feel comfortable with. It can be showing no skin and progress to a bit of an opening at the breasts, or together entirely.

This is really a beautiful design and the most quality fabric I have ever seen in a piece of sexy lingerie. My only complaint is how unforgiving the item is. Don't gain a pound while you own this because it has no stretch, which I wish it had. You can loosen the ribbons, but how far do you wear them and how much skin do you want to show? If I could wear it with no opening, it would be awesome with a pair of skinny jeans. But as it is, no way? If you have in home date nights, wear this!!!
