The Business Version Of The Lingerie World
Pinstripes scream sophistication and power to me. Because the cups are discreet, this could be worn with jeans, shorts or other types of bottoms if you're daring enough. Or simply use it as a lingerie set to help satisfy a business woman fantasy. Even if you have a troublesome stomach, the skirt isn't tight fitting which makes me feel more confident.

BRAND & COLOUR:
Coquette have done another wonderful job with their Pinstripe Woven Lace baby doll and g-string design. Like the rest of their that I own, it is made in China.
The top front panel of the baby doll and the g-string are black with fine silver pinstripes. A lacy mesh red skirt and small red ribbon bows add contrast to the set.
MATERIAL:
This set is created using 100% polyester, exclusive of trim. The pinstripe front of the baby doll has some horizontal stretch for extra comfort, while the back bra closure is formed using lycra that stretches in all directions. The cups are completely discreet due to the solid material and padding used. Three small red bows adorn the pinstripe section. For the skirt, Coquette has chosen a red embroidered mesh lace which is rather see through.
The g-string is made from the same pinstripe fabric as the top of the baby doll.
I bought this in the XL in the hope the cup size would be large enough to cater for DD breasts. I may have been able to get away with the L.
The lingerie pictured below are modelled by Eve. Her measurements are 37", 33", 42" and she has a D cup.
All measurements below are gained by measuring across a flat garment.
G-STRING:
This has to be one of my favourite g-strings. Not only is it made from black horizontally stretchy fabric with thin silver pinstripes, but it also has a soft type of Lycra used to border the panel and for the waist band. The fabric is on the stiffer side compared to most g-strings, but the back is narrow enough that it's not uncomfortable. Unfortunately, it has no panty liner at all which is slightly disappointing.
Waist Band:
Unstretched: 16”
Stretched: 28”
Triangle panel:
Width at front: 4”
Width at back: ¾”
Width is measured across the top edge.
Length:
Triangle: 13”
BABYDOLL:
Just like on a bra, the baby doll has black elastic shoulder straps that can be adjusted from 12 ½” up to 20”. On the front, attached to the standard strap, are two thinner elastic straps that are sewn onto the cups to create a triangle shape. Where the two different sized straps meet, part way up to the shoulder, is a small red bow. The cups are nicely shaped with underwire and padded, making them totally discreet. Between them is another red bow in a slightly larger size and a clear plastic gem. All three bows and gem are easily removed. The back features a thin (1 ½”) band of Lycra with a bra type closure. There are three adjustable rows of two eyes on one end and two hooks on the other.
The skirt is done in two simple panels (front and back) that creates a seam down each side. I personally prefer this style. They have managed to cut the mesh lace in a way so it falls freely and forms light folds/gathers. Below the bra closure is a keyhole in the mesh which is 3 ½” long and has a border of red Lycra.
All seams are finished off neatly, ribbons have Stop Fray on the raw edges and the bottom of the skirt has a roll type hem.
Cups:
Depth: 6”
Across wire ends: 8 ¾”
Under chest:
Unstretched: 16”
Stretched on the tighest: 24”
Length:
Top of breast triangle: 22”
Back: 16”
Eve tends to swim a little in the cups with being a D cup.
The yellow pin that can be seen on one of the cups is where I plan to move one of the thinner straps to. I'm hoping that this will help take up some of the slack in the top.

CLEANING ~ PACKAGING:
As with all lingerie pieces, the label says to hand wash only and hang to dry. Everyone who reads my lingerie reviews will know I often don't pay attention to the label. It really depends on the delicate nature, how lazy I am at the time or how eager I am to wear it. I did take the time to hand wash this one, as I was concerned about it leeching red dye onto the other pieces I had in the machine. Glad I did cause it did bleed a small amount. But I have no worries with placing this in a front loader.
Once again, this set arrived in the pink tissue paper. I actually prefer that to a packet cause it's easy to reuse or to get rid of if you don't have a use for it.
EXPERIENCE:
Coquette is one of my favourite lingerie companies. It's been rare for them to disappoint me. I'm not usually into red products, but I've always found pinstripes highly arousing. I associate pinstripes with business suits. YUM!
I was impressed when it arrived, as it's more on the darker side rather than a light red.
I'm extremely pleased that the cups are wonderfully big enough and supportive. One thing I'm not 100% happy with is the locations of the straps on the cups. They sit way over against my armpit which irritates the ‘who know what' out of me. Plus, the cups are quite big along the top edge section and because of the position of the straps, it makes the cups gape along the top edge. I don't like that. If you're a cup size larger (I'm a DD), you'll probably fill in this gap and it will look great. For me, I'm going to remove the straps and relocate them to where I need them for it to sit just right.
Otherwise, this is a great baby doll and I feel comfortably sexy in it. I wish more fitted so well. I know I can usually rely on Coquette!
A full 5 stars!
