Stiff As A Board And Frumpy, Too!!
While being very beautiful and well made, this starchy, stiff dress did not work out for my build. The waist band made it fit funny and the stiffness did not allow it to drape right on my body causing me to look awfully frumpy. Perfect design for wearing out, it did not work well in the bedroom due to the stiffness of the material and the frumpiness of the fit.

Packaging:
The Satin and Lace Corset Dress is packaged very nicely. The dress is on a padded satin hanger and is inside a clear, plastic, garment bag. This protects the dress very well during shipping and storage and is appropriate for gift giving.
There is a thin, cardboard tag with the model wearing the dress and other manufacturer information on it as well. This is attached to the dress with a small safety pin so not to damage the material. The small bags with the shoulder straps and garters in them are also attached with the same safety pin.
Details:
The base material is a shiny, silver and the overlay is black lace in a pretty floral scroll pattern. The dress is trimmed in black satin edging. The back has a stretch panel for fitting and a lacing that goes the full length. The front has three adjustments of hook and eyes that also run the full length.
There are six pieces of boning in the top, and the bottom is sewn to match, but has no actual boning in place. There is an elastic waist band inside to aid in shaping the dress. You can see it on the outside, which was disappointing since it looks tacked in and cheap. It ruins the silhouette of the dress.
Material:
The inner shell is a cotton type material that backs the 100% Polyester outer material and lace. The cottony material seems to be part of the polyester and not a separate layer. This material is very comfortable against the skin and does wick some moisture. The only stretchy area on the dress is the panel behind the lacing. The rest of the material is very stiff and starchy. The stiffness makes it a bit difficult to wear and inhibits your movement. Washing does not help.
Care & Storage:
Hand wash in warm water using a gentle detergent. Rinse thoroughly and you may add fabric softener if you wish. Let this air dry and do not wring out the material. There is no need to iron this and if you try, it may damage the material.
Hang this on the original padded hanger in your closet when not wearing the dress. You may put it in the garment bag if you are worried about dust or smoke getting on the material or if you are hanging it for an extended amount of time. I like to use the garment bag and add a bit of material with a dab of perfume for a pleasant aroma when I wear the dress.'
Fit:
The dress is a bit uncomfortable to get into on your own. Unlace the back, hook the front up and use the lacing for adjustment. There was plenty of room for my breasts, but the waist really nipped in and the hips were so tight I was afraid to sit down. All in all, this dress was just not made for my body type and the fit was all wrong. Instead of sexy--I looked downright frumpy and odd. What a bitter disappointment!!

The material never did soften up enough to be comfy or to fit me properly. The look of the dress off is very beautiful--but the fit!! Going to sell this one!
