When I received the Bride robe & babydoll set, I was so excited! I may not be a bride, but I did not own a robe at all. When it arrived, the robe and little nightie were on a matching hanger and the whole thing was wrapped up in a clear plastic bag. It was really wrinkled from being packaged, so I left it to hang for a few weeks (I honestly forgot it was there). The wrinkles were still pretty visible after hanging, so I suggest giving this item a light steam, you can do this by locking the garment in your bathroom with you while you take a nice steamy shower, or your favorite method of getting wrinkles out of polyester. I know polyester has gotten a bad rap over the years, but I promise you, this does not feel like a cheap suit! The fabric is more silk like than “scratchy” and as far as “normal” night wear, this sort is my favorite, hands down, it moves nicely between body and bed!
I was really disappointed when I went to try this on for the first time though, as I was admiring the look of the thin little straps and how they wrap around ad adjust so you can get an ideal fit (a huge plus in the plus-size aspect) I noticed that right at the top of the front, where the fabric has a decorative trim, the stitching had pulled away from the fabric at the top of my right breast! The rip is fairly minor, but I cannot wear the babydoll to sleep in until I repair it (which may be a while since my ever growing “baby bump” means that the gown does not fit at all right now). It’s a common issue I see with this “silk like” polyester and as long as you’re like me and know enough about sewing to patch it, it won’t be a waste. If you are bigger around the middle, go up a size or more! The babydoll fits but clings to my belly just a bit.
The robe (and hanger) is my favorite part of this whole set! From the picture on the product page, I was expecting a slightly longer robe, though I have no idea why I thought that! I was pleasantly surprised that the robe ends right before my butt cheeks do, leaving a bit of a “peek-a-boo” effect from the rear view! It is also polyester and in silver metallic lettering, it says “Bride” across the shoulder blade area. On the shimmering white of the robe, it can be a little hard to read but it does look very pretty! I use the robe often, even without the babydoll! It makes for a nice “something” to just throw on if I have to run to the bathroom or kitchen first thing in the morning or in the middle of the night. To tie it shut completely (as completely as any robe ties at any rate), there is a small string (just like the straps to the nightie part) to tie together and then you wrap the other side around and tie the whole thing “shut” with a nice, not too wide, robe tie. The outer tie is sewn onto the robe, so there won’t be any losing it (and sadly, it cannot be used for “other” uses either).
Overall I can say I was pretty ambivalent about this set, it isn’t the “best” out there, but it really isn’t the worst either. For the price, I would probably get something else if you aren’t a “bride”, if you are though congratulations and this may be what you’re looking for!

The robe is still an okay thing to have, especially since it is the only robe I own! However, the babydoll/nightgown is still ripped and not seeing any use because of that.
