Cheap looking
When I ordered this garter, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Pictured was three separate garters. I ended up receiving the garter pictured in the center.
It's made of a basic white lace strip, with the usual pattern, attached to a white elastic, so you can't notice the elastic beneath the lace. The lace has been ruched along the elastic. At the front of the garter, there is a light blue satin bow. It's lovely, though from what I can see it's only attached with one stitch, so I'm not sure how much use you could get out of it before it comes off. Hanging below the bow are two strands of white, pearly beads. While from afar the beads look okay, when you actually look, they come across as being cheap, and in my opinion, very 1980s looking.
As for care, the tags on the garter say to machine wash in warm water on a gentle cycle. To dry, you can use a tumble-dry machine on a low setting. Do not twist or wring, this will cause the elastic to become compromised.
With the exception of the decorative parts, this garter is made of 100% nylon. I ordered a size XL, and to my surprise, it did come larger than your average garter, which is hard to find.
This garter would be perfect for any bride. It contains the classic 'something blue' being the bow, and with the exception of your spouse, no one will be close enough to notice the cheap beading. And at $3, it's a steal!
Also, because of the low cost, it would be great for a quick role play, or any costume (party, or special occasion, like Halloween).
The item is shipped in a clear plastic bag, but does have a cardstock tag attached.
