Sexy Stripes for Skinny Minnies and Plus Sized Divas!
Overall, this set really is a great buy. If you're on the bigger side, beware. I definitely wouldn't purchase this if I were larger than a size 18. It's great if it fits, though. It's comfortable, silky, and one of the only lingerie sets I've ever seen that didn't come with a thong. The full-backed panties are so comfortable, and look great with the chemise. Definitely worth $40 in my opinion.

Pros
Comfortable, silky, underwire, adjustable straps, looks cute!
Cons
hand wash only, lack of breast support, tight fit
In lingerie, plus sized women often have the short end of the stick. There is less of a selection when it comes to pluz sized lingerie, and oftentimes in plus sizes, lingerie just doesn't seem to fit the way it should. I'm not just saying that this only happens to plus sized women, since every body is different and clothing designers can't make every piece of clothing universal. Sometimes it's the women with small chests or big butts or short legs who get the short end, too. Whatever your sizing anomaly, I'm sure that we can all agree that lingerie is adorable, and a very fundamental key to keeping romance alive in the bedroom. Nothing excites my man more than coming home to see me in a sexy outfit that I would never wear outside of the house, and I like it that way.
Eden does have quite the selection of plus sized lingerie. This is my second lingerie set that I have picked from Eden, and I must say, I enjoyed the first much more. I think this is because my other set was by Coquette, and this one is from DreamGirl. Their sizing ranges are much different, and I think I'm going to have to look for 3x-4x's in DreamGirl outfits, and XL's in Coquette. According to DreamGirl, my size (1x-2x) means that I should have these measurements: 1X/2X: size 16-18, D-DD cup, 40-48" bust, 36-40" waist, 42-48" hips, 165-225 pounds. Personally, I am a size 16 or 18 (depending on the day), have about a 40" bust, DDD cup, 38" waist, 46" hips (I KNOW. They are huge.), and weigh somewhere around 220 lbs. Basically, this chemise set sounded like it was made for me, based on the sizing guidelines. However, I learned that just because the guidelines match your description, doesn't mean that the dress was made to accommodate all that you have going on!
The set came in a box with pink tissue, and was inside a resealable plastic bag that I have kept for storage purposes. Upon removing the outfit from the packaging, I immediately noticed that the feel of the fabric was very silky and cool. The pink lace also felt soft, which was a welcome change from the scratchy lace that I have previously encountered. The overall design is so flattering, so I was really excited to try it on. The chemise has a pretty basic design, but it really has an adorable effect. The dress is black with underwire lining in the cups, and the top and bottom of the dress have a row of pink lace. There is also a second row of pink lace that runs across the middle of each of the cups. There is a large slit up the back of the dress (and I mean large. It runs just over halfway up) that does not have lace lining. The matching panties peek through the slit, which have 3 rows of the same pink lace. When I tried this on, I actually wore the panties backward on accident. The shape of them is kind of odd, so I didn't figure that one out until I looked at the pictures again on EF. I noticed that another reviewer did the same, so obviously there is some confusion regarding the panties. I think that they look great either way, but I do like to wear the lace facing the back so you can see it through the slit.
When I tried the set on, I was actually kind of disappointed. Although there is underwire, the silky material prevents any kind of lift that would be offered by the design. Since I have large breasts, I don't need help pushing them up, but I would like some lift so they don't sag too much. That was definitely a downside for me. However, the material was ridiculously comfortable and I could totally see myself wearing this to bed, or lounging around the house in it. Since the dress is pretty skintight, I didn't really like the way it made my stomach or hips look. I usually stick with flowing tops, and stay away from the tight stuff. I should have known, but this set just looked so cute. The slit in the back truly is flattering, even on larger body types. It shows off my butt and part of my back, and the cute little lacy panties. The fit of the panties really surprised me. They actually were very comfortable, backwards or not! This was a big deal, because usually I have to just toss the matching undies when I buy a lingerie set. These were very well made, though, and even had lining inside. That was also a big deal, since it's usually missing in cheap lingerie or swimsuits.

Experience
While I wasn't crazy about the fit of the top, my partner certainly was. He seems to think that it has a slimming effect, while I disagree. But because he likes it, it scores a few more points in my book. My main concerns still apply, though. I wish that there was padding or lift in the cups, and that it was maybe a bit looser (like if it came in a 3x-4x?) around so that my tummy wouldn't be hugged so tight. It barely goes down past my naughty bits, so the length makes me look a little bit short and round. That's okay, I suppose, since I look like that most of the time anyway. I mostly just wish that this set gave me a bit more confidence, instead of making me self conscious. Lingerie should make me feel sexy...right?
One solution that I found for the lack of padding was wearing this with my "Bust Up Cups". They add a bit more lift, and some comfort too. Don't be fooled, Bust Up Cups are not only for the small breasted. They're great for support and lift, and make bras and lingerie much more comfortable. The better boob support makes this set much more appealing for me, so I like it a lot more. I really love that the straps are adjustable too, like on a bra. If you tighten them a bit, there is more breast support.
I am not really a fan of hand wash only clothes, so usually I just throw them in the wash in a lingerie bag, and this set has held up fine through a couple of washes. However, I do not run them through the dryer, since this material seems very delicate and I wouldn't want to ruin it.

I love this set! The panties are not in great shape anymore since I washed them and they started to pull apart. The chemise is in great condition though, and it has been washed many times. Since I lost some weight, I love this piece even more than I did when I got it. It's comfortable, sexy, and great to wear even just as pajamas.
