Sexy shine 1x/2x
This is a dramatically different skirt than the black version. It is shinier and has a lot less stretch. It sits higher on the hips, making it seem shorter. It's still a good skirt, but I prefer the black one for how stretchy it is. This one isn't as comfortable for me to wear. I also dislike the a-line cut on this because it makes me look bigger, but some people may prefer that look.

Introduction
Coquette makes this skirt in two different colors. I ordered both because I adored them. I figured they would be basically the same thing, and I guess they are if you say that a mini skirt is basically the same as every mini skirt. Sarcasm aside, these are very different skirts because the material is so different which is why I will be reviewing them separately.
Fit
For reference, I am about a size 20-22 depending on brand. I am about 48" at the low hip (ie where a low waistband will sit) and about 51" around the largest part of my hip.
Coquette's size chart lists a 1x/2x of being:
38 - 42" at the waist and 46 - 52" at the hip.
I think that someone could still go up 3" from my measurements and still fit into this.
This is actually cut as an a-line and the fabric is stiff enough that it shows. I normally prefer more fitted skirts because a-lines make me look chunkier.
The fabric doesn't stretch as much as the black skirt, so I have to wear it higher on my hip to prevent any kind of muffin top. The waist band is just a 1/4" of elastic sewn onto the top, so it isn't the sturdiest waistband. I would recommend going down a size on either of these if you are on the low end of a size just to make sure it stays up on you.
Fabric and Care
The tag and EF's website list this as made of 80% nylon and 20% spandex. Coquette recommends hand washing this and hanging to dry. I have a hand wash feature on me washing machine, so I used that with a mild liquid detergent and hung dry and it is fine.
This fabric looks and sounds like vinyl. It's stiff and has a lot less stretch than the black version of this skirt. It's extremely shiny just like vinyl.
Packaging
This came on a plastic hanger with the tag safety pinned to it. It was then sealed in a plastic bag.

Follow-up commentary
28 days after original review
I am having a huge problem with Coquette. Some of their items run big and some run small. This one ran big. Far too big. In fact since loosing a little weight, this is too baggy on me. I have to take it in.
