I was so excited to get upgraded and get my first assignment. Boy, was I excited when I got approved for this, I had been looking for something sexy to wear in the kitchen, but also something that could be practical, and I really thought this would be perfect. It arrived very quickly. The box is came in was HUGE and I kind of wondered if I had gotten the wrong package, or maybe gotten myself into something more than I had bargained for. When I opened the box I was relieved to find a small box with the apron inside. The box that the actual apron came in was really bent up, which I found odd since it was in such a large box, but luckily the actual item inside was perfectly fine ! As I pulled the apron out of the box I instantly fell in love with the soft pink and glossy white. The ties of the apron are so soft and silky. The apron was sort of wadded up in a ball with the ties wrapped around it so all you can feel is the soft ties. What a great first impression, I thought! When I unwrapped the ties I was a bit disappointed. The lace details on the item are really rough, but still adorable.
This item is titled "Satin Apron" so you would assume that it is Satin. The tag however states that the item is 100% Acetate. I've personally never heard of this material, so for those of you who haven't either, the material page reads: Acetate is a synthetic fiber which is based on cotton or tree pulp cellulose. The acetate fibers have passed their peak as cheap petro-based fibers and have displaced regenerated pulp fibers. Properties: Acetate is a soft, smooth and resilient material. It has no allergenic potential (is hypoallergenic) and a poor thermal retention. Hygiene And Maintenance: Acetate usually requires dry cleaning.
The fact that it has to be dry cleaned, makes it so it's not really a practical item for actual baking and such. Well, at least not for me. I'm constantly making a mess.
The cups and lower part of the apron are opaque, while the mid section is sheer.
Measurements: This item states one size fits most, and I'd say that's about correct, except it may not fit women with larger busts. I have a small B-cup and it was rather tight, but the closer on the back of the bust is very stretchy.
From the highest point down the apron is 23 in long. (This includes the lace detail.)
The cups are 11 in. wide total, and 6 in. wide each. (This does NOT include the lace detail)
The cups are about 5.5 in. high. (This does NOT include the lace detail.)
The mid section is 6 in. long, in the narrowest area it is 4 in. wide. The widest area measures 7 in. (the height is measured from under the lowest part of the bust. Width measurements do NOT include the lace detail.)
The lower section of the apron is 10.5 in. long and 13 in. wide in at the top and 15.5 at the bottom. (This does NOT include the lace detail.)
The heart pockets are about 4 in wide (at the widest point) and 4 in long. (This is from the highest and lowest points of the heart.) The pocket is about 4 in. deep, but narrows at the bottom. Width-wise, my Samsung Galaxy S III fits in the pocket.
The back closure is like a bra. Each strap measured from the cup is 10 in. long, but is VERY stretchy. When I stretch it out they go to about 15 in. long each.
The halter straps at the top are 24 in. long each.
The waist strap measured straight across is 45 in.

Experience
This apron is very cute. The pink and white look apron and sweet together, but the style and the sheer midsection make it sexy. The straps are basically ribbon that you can buy at any craft store. They are long enough to accommodate almost all sizes. The back closures, which are bra-like, give it a little extra sexy flare. The heart pockets are cute, and are large enough to actually use. The material other than the lace is soft and silky and just makes you feel sexy.
With the pros come some cons. This item has to be dry cleaned, so it's not really practical to use in the kitchen. The lace is very rough on the skin. The cut of this isn't going to be flattering on every body type. And the cup sizing may not fit larger breasts. Not everyone is going to find this sexy, as the colors do remind me of a princess playhouse I once had. The midsection doesn't lay as straight or flat as it does in the photo, and the fabric constantly looks wrinkly.
I don't think the apron is overly flattering on my body. I weigh around 141bs. I had never tried anything with this shape before, and I doubt that I will try it again; it's just not for me.
