Sex on legs
Coquette's Wetlook Dress with Molded Cups is beyond sexy! What more do I really need to say? The style is sexy pinup, with a bit of bad girl thrown in with the wetlook material. Wait, are you still reading this? Quit reading and go buy one of these already! Okay, maybe finish reading first, THEN go buy one.

Pros
Shiny, sexy, comfortable, stretchy (to a point), did I mention sexy?
Cons
Exposes everything underneath
The Wetlook Dress with Molded Cups is part of Coquette's newly added Darque wetlook line. The dress is undeniably sexy and features padded, molded cups with underwire. Yes, you heard that right, underwire. The wetlook material is thin but completely opaque, and the length makes sure your bits and bum are covered; so not only can this piece be worn in the bedroom and around the house, but out and about as well!
The dress arrives on a clear plastic "Coquette" hanger inside a cellophane bag. The bottom of the dress is folded up to fit inside the bag; when taking it out, the material does stick a bit to itself and there are some wrinkles in the dress, but putting the dress on (thus stretching out the material) gets rid of the wrinkles. Attached via a small safety pin is a simple cardboard tag with photos of a model wearing the dress along with a sticker stating the size and care instruction symbols.
When it comes to caring for the dress, don't even think about going near a washer or dryer unless you want to ruin the piece. Definitely hand wash this then hang to dry. Material-wise, the tag states that it is 80% Nylon, 20% Spandex (exclusive of trim - which is a small amount of PVC on the straps for decoration, along with metal and plastic). As for the material's feel, as I said above it is thin and has some stretch to it. There is no liner inside the dress; the inside is smooth and feels to me somewhat similar to bathing suit material. Also, the outside of each cup is not covered in the same wetlook material as the rest of the dress. This portion is similar to bathing suit material, but because it has some shine to it, you really can't tell the difference between the cups and the rest of the dress (unless you were really looking for it). The material feels smooth and comfortable on the skin, but because it isn't the most breathable material there is (like cotton), the dress is more suited (and more comfortable) for cooler temperatured days/nights.
I personally find Coquette's sizing to be quite spot on for every garment I've tried. Their size chart lists the large sized dress to fit the following measurements: Size 12-14, Cup C, Bust 38"-40", Waist 30"-32", Hip 40"-42". Taking a measuring tape to the dress (garment laid flat without stretching), measurements are:
-Straps at longest adjusted length: 16"
-Straps at shortest adjusted length: 10 1/4" - The fronts of the straps have a small 3 3/4" PVC trim with metal eyelets and buckle (which are decorative and non-functioning), the rest of the straps are elastic with a plastic adjuster.
-Edge to edge at the widest part of the cups measures 16". Each cup (at the widest width) measures 7 1/2", with a length of 6" right down the middle. The cups themselves are padded and molded (as the name implies). At the very top of the cups is thin padding (about 1/4" thick) similar to any other padded bra, top, etc. After about 2" of this thinner padding, there is a substantial hump of thicker padding (I would say up to an inch in the thickest areas). Along the bottom curve of the cups is an actual piece of metal underwire.
-Right underneath the cups, the front of the dress measures 14" seam to seam. Underneath the bust and past the waist portion, the dress curves out for a 19" measurement at about hip level. The rest of the dress is straight and at the same 19" width measurement.
-Measuring from right at the bottommost point of the cups to the bottom of the dress is 31" (I am 5'5" and a half, and the length hits mid to bottom of my knees). The back of the dress has a 7 3/4" slit at the bottom middle; a seam runs from the top of the slit up to the slit/laces at the top. The slit on the top back is 10" long; there are 7 eyelets on each side with a lengthy black ribbon to allow you to tighten or loosen the back to fit to your liking. However, there is no modesty panel on the back, so bare flesh will show through the lacing.

Experience
The first time I saw this dress in an online catalog for Coquette's wetlook pieces, I absolutely had to have it and waited very impatiently for Eden to carry it. The day this finally arrived on Eden's virtual shelves, I about damn near had a heart attack! I wanted to type "MINE MINE MINE!" as a comment on the product page, as if that would scare others away so I could get it on assignment. Joking aside, I find this dress so unbelievably sexy. I'm not all that into lingerie. I prefer more functional pieces that I can wear everyday or out of the house. And this definitely fits the bill as a sexy little number that can be worn in public without someone thinking you're wearing lingerie.
As I said above, I generally find Coquette's sizing to be quite true and spot on. This piece in large should fit anyone who generally wears a large in Coquette's pieces or who fits within their measurement guidelines. I feel the cups on the dress will fit women with C cups, perhaps a small D. The underwire and molded padding will give your girls a bit of lift and shape. However, for me, the cups don't fit. But I was fully aware of that problem before I got the dress. I'm a triple D cup; if the cups on a piece fit, the rest is too large - if the rest fits nicely, the cups are always way too small, regardless of the brand. But since I am in the process of losing weight, hopefully my cup size will go down so it will fit a bit better.
And that is the reason why I'm not posting photos of me actually wearing this dress... right now. Because I'm in the process of losing weight, the dress fits way too snuggly, so I don't want to embarrass myself (or burn your eyes out) by posting a photo of an overstuffed sausage. I do, however, fully plan on posting photos in my follow-up review when the dress fits a little better on me.
Back to the actual dress... quality-wise, I feel it is very nicely made. I only found one small hanging thread that I snipped off (but that wasn't even that noticeable since it was inside). The material has some nice stretch to it (about a few inches), which allows the dress to hug your curves. Though that does make anything you wear underneath the dress blatantly obvious. If you don't like going commando, slip on a pair of seamless panties or a thong. If you're worried about too many curves being put on display, well honey, either embrace and love the body you have and don't worry about it, you sexy thing... or invest in some seamless shape-wear.
As the title says, this dress makes you look like sex on legs. The design is simple without too much decoration because it just doesn't need it. All you need to do is put on a pair of nice heels and strut your stuff, this dress doesn't need any sexing up.

Follow-up commentary
6 months after original review
This is still a hot little number, however I just don't wear it all that often. It fits better now that I've lost more weight, but my tastes have changed and this more revealing number is saved for when I'm in an overly dominating/bad girl mood.
